Namib-Naukluft National Park in Walvis Bay
Description
Privilege
Its a national park but people are living in the park. The population is less than 1000 with a state school and public health care center.
MoreOnly know it through the live cam on YouTube which is AWESOME.
Perfect Namibia experience
Spectacular scenery!! Love this place
No place like home 🌍😭
Stunningly stark beauty, far horizons and intresting wildlife if you are lucky to spot any. Please drive carefully on the gravel.
MoreOutstanding!! Amazaing! Wonderfull! We were with Herman of Safari Edge Tours until Sandwich Harbour from Walvis Bay. Special man special trip! I advise to book a guide tour and not going alone for your safety. We saw a lot of animals!
MoreThe beautiful nature of Namibia ❤️🇪🇬🇳🇦
The view from above of the Namib Naukluf
Some of the most beautiful scenery you could possible imagine. It is especially amazing how many ostriches and oryxes Live there in the desert.
MoreBeautiful landscape and atmosphere! Very sad point, Tracks everywhere. Cars, squadbikes criss - cross all over destroying wildlife and environment!! Stop the wild driving!!!
MoreA must if you visiting that area.
Typical Namibian scenery at its best.Go camping or lodging in our country ,you will not be disappointed!
MoreAmazing place! You have to be there right at the sunrise to best see the beauty of geometric shapes painted by the sun and shade. Best to visit in the rain season (January-March), when water fills desert ponds and reddish sand contrasts green plants.
MoreNaukluft park is a Namibian beatiful tourist park located in Erongo Region Namib desert ,where famous Dune 7 is located
MoreSo worth the visit.
Great...breath taking and refreshing big time....cant stop admiring pictures captured there.
MoreVast desert with different vegetation levels, great to explore!
This place is just so completely spectacular. The canyons, rock-formations, the views and the wide open skies here are one of the reasons Namibia can easily compete with the great parks of the united states in terms of landscape grandeur and breathtaking vistas. And, yes, there is always wildlife if you look for it and are patient enough. Magnificent!
MorePhotos just doesnt do it justices! Really astonishing place! Love the tour.
We just rode through this park. Gravel and sandy road. Very bumpy. It was hot. Plan your time well and distance and carry lots of water. The road is very scenic and so you will have quite some stops to some in the beauty.
MoreThis is a perfect example of Namibias beauty. Its a beautiful place to be and when it rains, it shows how our dry country appreciates any water. With very little rain this flat desert area will turn green in weeks.
MoreAmazing national park with a lot of beautiful dunes. Tip: if you are not very experienced on driving by sand roads, you can order shared transfer at the national park reception or in the van at the end of paved road. Also drivers of those shared cars are happy to accept cash.
MoreI have grown up on a Farm.......East of Namibia and i love nature ....
Astonishing landscapes, fiery orange dunes, surreal looking Deadvlei. A must see in Namibia.
MoreWonderful park. Desert and dunes. Had a great day with a 4x4 desert ride.
Park campsites were fine. Reception was unfriendly, but more important, the maintenance was very poor. No lights in ablution block, toilet cistern had no lids, shower door in ladies bathroom did not close, rubbish bins not cleaned so baboons are a serious problem because they are scavenging. Paid for two nights but left after day one. Over priced , not worth a visit
MoreWas nice to explore my own country.. viva Namibia 🇳🇦🇳🇦🇳🇦
Beautiful dunes and lots of oryx to see
Dune 45 was a great workout yo climb with wonderful views from the top.
Its beautiful beyond words. If you get a good tour company like Mola Mola Tours to take you... the experience will be remarkable
MoreAmazing dunes and camping sites
Is very important to me that the company took me to go work there very much good?
MoreOldest desert in the world apparently. Every single dune is amazing, and you need to make sure youre driving around at different times of the day. The light changes and the colors change. Hike the dunes, see Deadvlei, and bring snacks so you can hang out. Its wonderful!
MoreSeemingly endless magnificent and beautiful scenery with good dirt roads and a fair bit of wildlife.
MoreUninhabited desert, amazing rock formations, awesome Milky Way with no light pollution, solitude, many km from internet, phones, mod cons.
MoreVery pretty area but the roads on the gamsberg pass are in a horrible condition
Wonderful park. The walk in the dunes in dead vlei is magical. Get there early in the morning and go up a dune to see the sun rise. There is less people than at dune 45. We even saw a lone oryx. Unbelievable to see how well the site is preserved. You can spot lizards too. Enjoy this peaceful moment.
MoreAn interesting National Park. If you are not accustomed to the desert, this Park is a great opportunity to learn and experience a desert environ.
MoreUpgrades are made to this place, its really an interesting place to visit. It connects you to nature and the wild life. They also have amazing camp places and the food served is fresh and decent. It could become 5 star in a few months.
MoreWe find the welwitschias and the Nara plant , beautiful hill to ride or run on
Get to see the Moon Landscape just before you get to the Mirabilis, great view
Incredible scenery and landscape but the roads are terrible, be prepared to change a tyre or two.
MoreMust see in Namibia. If possible stay in the camp inside the park so you have one hour more in the evenings. The dunes are approximately one hour away from the gate and the camp (on a tarred road however). Dont miss dead vlei which is simply amazing - most likely it will be the best part of your trip to Namibia.Dont mind the heat and get out there!
MoreBeautiful scenery but make sure to bring sunscreen hat and glasses for the day time - it gets hot!
MoreAwesome experience in the dunes , great sites, lots of interesting animals and how they adapt to the desert
MoreBeautiful country with the most beautiful landscapes. Well recommended holiday destination.
MoreWide open, desolate desert space with feral horses! Beautiful!
Did a 4x4 trail with "live the journey", driving through the desert. The Namib desert is beautiful.
MoreBeautiful national park. Naukluft seems to be overlooked by most of the Sossusvlei visitors. Strongly recommended.
