Chic Indian restaurant with exposed brick walls and modern leather banquettes, plus open kitchen.
Adequate Indian food. Did the job. Nothing spectacular.
This is a beautiful mix of traditional Indian cuisine with a hint of uncommon dishes. The cocktails were fantastic and service was very attentive. The owner was very friendly and even offered us some free cocktails for my wife s birthday 🙂
i have travelled extensively throughout india and this place has the true depths of flavours. this a special place, each dish is individually cooked with precision and art. tonight i truly had a great indisn meal with finest ingredients.
Lovely cosy and comfortable place with friendly staff and charming atmosphere... 😊
The seafood moilee, lamb rogon josh, okra with raw mango and lemon rice - all absolutely delicious. Subtle and balanced flavours. Impeccable service. A real treat.
Very pleasant and cosy atmosphere very delicious biryani
Amazing Indian restaurant in Camden. The place is modern and the service was really good. You have mild dishes in case you do not like spicy. I recommend the tikka masala option
Had a lovely dinner meal here at Namaaste Kitchen on October 2nd. Most of our group wasnt entirely familiar with Indian cuisine, but our server was very patient and accommodating with explaining the menu items and offering recommendations. Value for money was fair in terms of portion sizes and quality -- and the flavours were spot on. The ambience and decor is also great. Would visit again!
Food definelty not worth the price, they have ingredients in the food not advertised on the menu, cocktails looked better than they taste, they dont even do a butterfly prawn. I wouldnt go back. Spent just over £100 for 2 people
Good place to enjoy some Indian food.Food Taste : Good or OK OK. Nan was very soft.Staff : very friendly and helpful.Service time : QuickAmbiance: Nice and restaurant was neat and clean.Prices : Mid range.
Great service, good food. Mango lassi was, however, more watery than thick, and poppadoms came pre-broken in a sort of tall bowl rather than unbroken on a wide bowl. Everyone was polite and decent prices.
This place was amazing. We went a couple of weeks ago, and after a rainy day of exploring around we decided to get take out. Once we got to the restaurant (~5 minutes laterwe saw outdoor seating and it stopped raining, and the wait staff let us sit and eat our food there instead. It was the best Indian food we’ve both ever had, and just a wonderful experience overall. We will definitely return on our next trip to Camden.
I really enjoyed the Indian cuisine of this place: quality food and high quality dishes. Staff attentive and able to suggest the best menu for you. Definitely recommending: optimal
The curries were good. No pickles or chutneys were served with the food. The service could be more service oriented. The prices are high.
I was out from London Zoo and looking for a place to dine nearby. I was kind of deceived by the google rating of 4.2. However, I think there is something going on with this restaurant that is either management issues or post COVID crisis. There was only one waitress who happens to do almost every thing. He was trying to catch up and multitask but with a lot of mistakes. Everything takes so long to happen. I have to wait a bit for him to pay my check. The price is extremely over the quality of the food and service. Some items in the menu are not available. Do not ask for ice, because they do not have it. Therefore, you have to accept almost room temperature Cola.
The food was amazing and the service was fantastic. However, I have to knock them down a couple stars because the prices were a couple pounds more expensive than advertised on their website. This is important because I was comparing prices to other restaurants. Also, I felt like the portion sizes were a little small compared to other Indian Restaurants. If you want to try some really good food and have extra cash, go here
We had a great moment at Namaaste. Kind owner, and excellent food. Our 9 and 11 years old kids also loved their dish : marinated chicken in a curry butter sauce : excellent. I tried the pistachios sauce, specialty of the restaurant and the mushrooms rice. We shared several dishes with my husband. The owner made my kids try the specialty drink (lassyand they enjoyed it. I sincerely recommend if you want a good Indian restaurant in London.
The food was excellent, but the friendliness and hospitality of the host left something to be desired. I don’t think we exchanged more than a few words during ordering and when I came back from the bathroom my bill was already on the table. Clearly they did not want me to order anything from else…
I’m not impressed. Service is slow from start to finish. The nan is ok but the biriyani is unauthentic and lacks flavor. Raita is salty for the first time in my life. The loud pub opposite the street and the cigarrette smoke flushed into this restaurant killed all the vibes.
Good table seating.Bar available.Staff is nice soft spoken. Service is also welcoming.Always better to have table reserved although walk-ins also available. Both veg and non-veg food taste is good. Spice level is low to medium. If you order papadam its per head charges.Paneer should have been cooked more softer.Naan and currys tastes really nice.Accept payment by card , cash.Prices of hard drinks are a bit costlier according to me.Avoid ordering Mango Lassi. Looks tasty bt doesnt have authentic taste.
Excellent food and location. Really enjoyed the soft shell crab. Would definitely recommend.
Popped in for a late dinner and had high hopes for this place as the decor and pictures onlune looked good.Food was ok (the okkra with mango was excellentbut the service was below average thus the ok rating. The first issue was they placed the menus on the table and simply walked away no offer of help to ensure we understood the specials or dishes...after ordering our starters and enjoying it, the waiter cleared our plate but left our utensils (no issues with thatbut then I noticed the table beside me had theirs replaced, issue 2. Then finally after dinner and wanting to leave noticed all staff gathered at the bar ignoring all customers and their attempts to get drinks or pay the bill so we were forced to walk over and pay.Not the way we wanted to end night and managent should try to set a standard for the service they offer that would match or beat the food being served.
Amazing authentic food, good service. Highly recommend if you like the Indian cuisine.
Loved the food at the restaurant - it had a great range of interesting dishes. I found the portion size to be good for me - enough without being overwhelming. The service was lovely, we were nicely attended to. I love the Indian wines on the menu - who’d a thunk it?! Overall, fun place, interesting menu, lovely service.
We booked a family dinner and noted that one of our party has a nut allergy. Also called in the morning and confirmed that they could cater for someone with a nut allergy and the girl said no problem. When we arrived, the manager who has zero social skills said they would “do their best” which is of course unacceptable. So many restaurants make the effort to accommodate but this restaurant just don’t care. I’m sure if Daniel Craig has a nut allergy they would bend over backwards to accommodate him. The manager really should step up and learn how to deal with this. I can accept that sone restaurants simply can’t but there are ways of managing this. This restaurant clearly doesn’t.
We walked in at 9:40 (they close at 10and even though the kitchen was already closed up, the really nice guy who’s name I didn’t get insisted it would be ok and that we were more than welcome. The food was amazing, genuinely one of the best curries we’ve ever had and the service was even better! Highly recommend.
Booked here for my daughters birthday as a surprise but was very disappointed in the service. The waiter that took our order was talking to other waiters while asking for our order and forgot to tell the kitchen about our starters so they just brought out the mains but when we tried to explain we went through 3 waiters for them to understand what we were saying as the first two did not speak English much . The waiting service was poor as we had to try to flag a waiter down when we wanted to order drinks and that took time , when we got the attention of a waiter they had to call another waiter as they did not speak enough English. Through the evening we did not get any attention except when we asked for the bill and the waiter asked if we would like shots on the house , to which we declined as it was to little to late and not one mention of a happy birthday to my daughter but they said it to other customers. The waiter only apologised and a acknowledged the service we revived once I said I was not willing to pay service change , so it seems to me they did not care only when it came to paying the bill. I am massively disappointed with this restaurant as the reviews were good - food is good but nothing special in my opinion and service very very poor it spoilt the surprise and evening so definitely will not be going here again, there are niche better restaurants serving the same food with better service! I also have a bad stomach I think they re- heated the food and used cheap oils to cook with. Stay away
scam restaurant with disgusting food and the high priced menus.lol Had a very bad experience and my stomach was upset next day . I bet the foods microwaved and the oil from onion baji was just oozing out . Chicken tikka is hard as rocks . its the second time Im having this experience. Couple months ago the place was shut by the food authoritys and no wonder they did the right thing by closing the restaurant. I aint leaving this here as Im gonna file a complaint with the food authority.Would never recommend this restaurant to even my worst enemy
Awesome place to enjoy good food, good drinks and great people. Flavor and quality are two of the best strengths of Namaaste Kitchen. The manager (maybe ownerof the restaurant along with the staff made it an even better experience.I’ll be traveling back to London with the family in the summer and will definitely come back to enjoy the exquisite food and joyful people at Namaaste!Cheers!
Food was fine except for the starter which was dry (Chicken Tikka Teen Tarikeand a very small portion for 2 people.I haven’t been to the restaurant since 2019 and my honest opinion is it has become an average Indian restaurant. Food was not great as it is used to be and I found it a little pricey (£30 per personfor one main per person, one starter, one papadam, one rice, one naan and one glass of wine. Three years ago you would pay £20 per person!
Summit quickly went through the menu to give us some ideas. Good food friendly staff
Met the wife after work. She chose this restaurant. Mostly curry dishes. We perused the menu whilst drinking a mojito and a large red wine, with very light crisp pompadoms. The food was good. The service slightly formal but efficient and friendly.
@namaastekitchen London 🇬🇧What we ordered 🖊Chicken BeliramPistachio chicken kormaChicken tikka masalaThoughts 💭The pistachio chicken and tikka masala were to die for. I love it when Indian restaurants blend up a lot of nuts into the sauces as I think it gives it an incredible thick texture. We would 100% order both these curries again if we returned (probably would as it was reasonably priced and delicious). The beliram whilst really nice wouldn’t be enough to stop me from exploring other parts of the menu.
Had a delicious dinner with my partner on a busy Friday night at Namaaste Kitchen. The service was attentive, I loved the chicken tikka shahlik it was out of this world. It’s such a delight to have restaurant service authentic Indian food with beautiful snd clean surrounding. We will definitely be back.
We were in Camden last week, a friend recommended to us. We were not disappointed. We had a delicious dinner with my family. The staff were very friendly and the food here is great! I loved the Kori Gassi and the spicy lamb curry Laal Maas.Namaaste is going to be our new favourite with such a beautiful clean interior. We will definitely be back and tell our friends.
Excellent meal today at Namaaste Kitchen. Highly recommended... menu is very good with Indian fusion food. Staff are friendly and price is great. Cant wait to visit again very soon.
Although we were left somewhat underwhelmed by Salaam Namaste in 2017, were pleased to say that Namaaste Kitchen by and large impressed, with a number of outstanding dishes, including arguably one of the best curries weve had in quite some time.Although their beverages could do with some more thought and attention, the food was, baring one dish, largely quite impressive, making this a good option if youre in the area.Theyre offering 15% off both delivery and collection for orders made directly via their website (collection 12pm - 10pm; delivery 5.30pm - 10pm).Note also that a discretionary 12.5% service charge will be added to your bill for dinning in.
Absolutely delicious, perfect level of heat, and date and ginger naan – had never heard of it until now – so soft, mildly sweet, so good!
Fantastic evening great food excellent service all covid safe - all on one level - staff were very friendly and knowledgeable - 2 minute walk from the holiday inn - high quality ingredients makes for a very tasty meal - highly recommended
Great dining experience. Our table shared starters & mains. All dishes were fabulous. Service time was longer than expected, but worth the wait.
If you love real Indian food this is a must the chef is from Mumbai and cooks the most delicious currys soo goood!!! Also try the Mojitos yum!!
Absolutely delicious Indian food - we had the tokri chaat, the crab, the prawn biryani, the duck and the matar paneer. The food was really flavourful and delicious. Service was a bit slow, but the food definitely made up for it. Will be back!
I confirm that my review is genuine, i waited 20min to have a table while i made a reservation. Food is too spicy even with 1/3 spicy. The cocktail was awful...At the end, bad indian restaurant experience, which is rare in UK. Better experience in Dishoom.
Had a wonderful experience with my close friends here. Walkable from the Camden station.Best n great quality food with lots of variety. Their platters are really delicious and fulfilling yet very reasonable. Moreover their staff is very prompt and hospitable.Must try are1.Galouti Kebab2.Chicken Tikka Teen Tarike Se3. Manglorean Korri Gassi Chicken for the curryObviously with a pint of Kingfisher Lager - u do reminisce the king of good times😜I highly recommend anyone who loves Indian food to go visit this place. Loved their ecstatic ambience and cordial hospitality.Ensuring the hygiene issues they become one of the best out the crowd.Affordable tariff! All smiles 😃😃😃Best wishes✌🏼
Ate here while we were in Camden Town. 2 main courses aloo mirch and a mixed kebab with chilli onion naan with gulab jamun for desert including the complentary tip ran us back almost £50. Kebab was cooked and seasoned well, aloo mirch was good but not great looked better on the plate than how it tasted and naan was perfect no faults, plus the desert was tasty. The only problem was it took more than an hour to get served food wait time was so long we thought about leaving 45 mins into waiting for our food.
We went there around 3 pm so perhaps this review is not representative. There was one person serving and she was very professional and polite. The food however took around one hour to come and we were they only table in the restaurant. Also, the food was way too spicy and the byriani rice had rosewater, which I found very unusual. Will definitely not be going back:(
Excellent food. The best lamb biryani I’ve had in a long time and the date and ginger naan and paratha were also delicious. Restaurant had a good ambience and service was quick and attentive. Highly recommended.
Best Indian I’ve ever had. Their almond naan is awesome. Everything is flavourful. Also we were on 25% off deal on foods :D
Food was an absolutely incredible experience. We all ordered different dishes and I have got to say they were all amazing. Cocktails impressively executed and a great way to modernise Indian food. The only down side to the experience was the staff not being polite nor attentive.
Went here for Xmas dinner last night with my wife and baby. The food was really good, decor too. Service was really prompt and very caring and friendly! Which is difficult to find these days.
