Langata Rd, Nairobi, Kenya, Machakos
Rehabilitation center at Nairobi National Park featuring many exotic mammals & birds, plus tours.
Very few variety of animals to see.. But nine the less an experience worth having. Recommending the Nairobi safari walk
Its a Black and White Colobus.A small monkey with a U-shaped mantle of long white fur that descends from its shoulders and around its back. They also have whiskers, a bushy tail. White fur surrounds their black face. Male: Head and body length: 675 mm (26.6 in.); Tail length: 667 mm (26.3 in.
You will be amazed by how much the place has to offer. Tembea Kenya.
Its a good place where a person can enjoy to visit
We had a great experience ta safari walk, one of its kind.
A nice place for both kids and adults to watch caged animals.
It was awesome, enjoyed well n came back after 2 weeks🥂
Its such an amazing place to be....NYC environment easily accessible and theres enough parking n security....This is where wild, nature n Humans get to Bond👍u get to see the Big 5 n also other wild animals... different types of Birds I mean its a great place to visit... Entrance Charges are very minimal
Great for the kids to learn and see wild animals. Just be ready for long queue since school children are brought here by the dozens by the schools.
Here you are close to the liones both male n female n some few cabs ,there is a Leppard too and a variety of other wild animals
A good way to finish off a weekend. A chance for a quick glimpse of the wild. I guess lions are the most endangered here...too many of them.
Its a great place for family time to see the animals and get to walk a little. As I was last there back in 2007 when just a child now as an adult I found the walking park distance shorter than expected. No giraffes and no elephants..my kid enjoyed nevertheless!
As usual it was an experience for my babies, I had a group of 30, 6 year olds which was divided into 7 per group for a more personal experience. They especially loved Mr. Hyena who was very playful this time round. The crane was as majestic as ever and so was the peacock. The leopard did not disappoint as well and kept a close watch on the happenings. The lions were especially very sleepy this time round and no amount of what is the time Mr. Lion from the children could wake them up. It was a chilly day all through but my 30 babies enjoyed the trip so much we had a good day.
I recognise the significance this place brings. Unfortunately for a tourist sight, this place is terrible. Especially for children. You would expect the high entry price of $25 would have the place well maintained and detailed but that wasn’t the case.I can understand how small the orphanage may be but you would expect some personification of the place. Only a few of the animals had their background stories written down. A majority of these animal didn’t which made the place feel like any common zoo.We also observed Baboons walking around freely. To some this may be fun but given the vicious nature of this animal and their habits of stealing peoples food, you would not feel comfy bringing your child here.A place like this is supposed to evoke emotion and make you realise the necessity for animal orphanages like this, however this did not give off that feeling. Take my advice and personify it a bit whilst providing tour guides or information bulletins on the individual animals. Otherwise people will feel their money is being misspent or they could even be dissuaded to donate to future causes.
A lovely place to take children to view different animals. We were able to see lions, monkeys, leopards, a cheetah, antelopes, a buffalo, a hyena, a peacock, a porcupine,a mongoose, birds and warthogs.
Didnt see Giraffes Not lions/leopard. Wasnt the same compared to my last visit
Very poor customer service specifically the lady who issues ticket. Shes unprofessional and extremely rude. She gets out to confirm childrens age without asking permission from parents. Yes, it happened to me with my 3 kids. We were denied entry but with the intervention of the Supervisor were able to enter. The place was good but the experience with the lady at the entrance ruined our day.
Lions,, leopard,, cheetah,, various wild birds all found here,, an up close look at the wild animals ,, exciting for both family,, kids and couples,, good for Weekend hangouts.
Great selection of healthy looking animals. The safari part has an interesting backdrop of Nairobi while you look for the variety of animals here. Giraffes, zebras, rhinos white and black, lions, ostriches, various antelope, crocodiles, wide variety of birds and even a monitor lizard. Well worth a visit
Great safari experience. Saw some lions, zebras, giraffes, rhinos and buffalos.
Very untidy. Fewer animals, not well taken care of
This place is really nice for little people that want to see different wild animals. The kids really enjoyed the hour we spent walking around seeing lions, cheetahs, different bird species, hyenas etc.I would definitely recommend it for a Saturday morning hangout with the kids. 🦁🪶
Had fun with my fam seeing a variety of animals
Really appreciated the people working in the orphanage. Their knowledge and care of the animals was top notch. The cage fencing made seeing the animals quite hard - especially taking pictures.
Good place to check out,but animal variety should be added
Celebrated fathers days with love of my life at Nairobi national Park it was 🔥 fire .ulikuwa wapi. Zuru kenya local tourists.
Wonderful place. Exceptional experience. Must visit. Go early in the morning. Take own water. A bit dusty. Open roof vehicles are better. Safe for children. 43 dollars for foreigners. Payment by electronically only. Better to carry the passport.
Its amazing how there are different animals, from the big cats, to big birds,... its simply amazing
Nairobi National Park a very Nice and very well place laid out place which housses various Wilde animales in cage, such as lions, leopard, cheetah, buffalo, monkeys, Wild booar, bords,
Its a good place for family outing. Very attractive to children of all ages to see wild animals at close range. Its a perfect place to relax your mind. Management must do something to the monkeys which are terorising ladies by snatching their bags and tearing them as they search for food . Otherwise you learn a lot about wild animals in this place.
I got to see simba, 😂 but in all I felt nature & was really happy
Good times it was tooo good..Ive enjoyed
Variety of animals..entrance fees reasonable..liked it
Just beautiful!!! Though this was at the National park not the orphanage.
Awesome place to take the family for an afternoon of learning and relaxation.
Good for a short walk with different animals.
This is a cheap way of going on a game drive, minus the drive itself. At the orphanage you get to see select wild animals which due to unfortunate circumstances, they have to be taken care of by humans since they can’t really survive in the wild by themselves. All in all, it is a nice and affordable activity.
Few types of animals. But we got to feed time to watch them closely. Nice staffOne imp thing they do not accept dollars only shillings or card payment for ticket.
Loved it got a breathtaking walk through this place with a volunteer guide who knew his books well and explained to us the animal life. Never a dull moment at the orphanage.
Best place for one day picnic with family and friends and kidsKids will get awareness about all the Animals. There is lions, many types of monkey, Buffalo, deer, birds, cheetah, many more animals. We really enjoyed I am sure you will also enjoy
It was a nice experience but, most of the animals were sleeping. I got there just around noon time.
Good area to learn about nature and wildlife, the safari walk is a must do, much better than the orphanage, if you must choose one. But both are good.
Great experience for kids. Best when it cool and not hot. The animals will be more active
Wonderful place for children. Unlike the safari walk, the grounds at the animal orphanage are easier for children to cover while they enjoy watching the animals. Totally recommend for people with kids. Spare 2hours for this activity.
This was a rather disappointing visit on a Sunday. With tye larger crowds and it being a public holiday, you would expect them to go out of their way, but the section with animal horns has few artifacts, is unkempt and disorganized. Boards with animal names & history missingThe rear of the premises was dirty. No guides to be seen unlike a few years backFewer animals than I recall (maybe this is good tho, seeing that it is an orphanage).Prices were affordable with 200 Sh for adults and 100 for kids (Kenyan Citizens).Generally, its run down and needs a totap makeover.
Great work they are doing with the rescue. At least I got to see a leopard up close. They probably should bring back the holding of cheetahs, I had really looked forward to it. All in all great experience.
The place is in the heart of the city. Being an orphanage the animals are not so vast for incredible experience you can get to the park. Entry for the orphanage is ksh 200-adults, ksh100- children and under 3 years get in for free. There are tour guide services if needed. I loved that this thrilled the children. Thanks Kws for the experience.
I loved the lions. They look so healthy. But some other animals look sad. All in all, affordable simple place to spend with the kids especially when not ready for so many activities
Wonderful place close to nature good to see animals live freely instead of cages 😊
The animal orphange is well kept and maintained for many years. Ive been visiting with my parents as a child and today had the opportunity to take my children. The animals seem to be well taken care of and there are quite a few different animals at the zoo sure to keep the little ones excited and alert. The only thing that didnt sit well with me today was the fact that there were so many people. With the whole covid situation, I was expecting there to be regulations/limitations for visitors. Everyone had masks on but the crowd was too big. So many that it seemed too noisy.Other than that, everything else was up to par. The tour guide was also awesome. The children enjoyed his company and all the lil facts he shared were great
