Hibachi-grilled fare & more Japanese cooking in relaxed bistro-style digs with a sushi bar.
One of the first places in Stockholm where you could get GREAT Tonkotsu ramen (but only on Sundays). Broth is excellent, and the noodles are nicely cooked, not too soft. - the Karaage side is very tasty too!
Please remember to order the Saikyo Grilled Black Cod! Best of all!
The staff are extremely professional, helpful and friendly. Its a great experience and the ramen Sundays are so worth it
Hello sir my name is Akter Hosen I am Bangladeshi citizen I am now in UAE ABU DHABI for last 5 years I was applying for sweden tourist visa but sweden embassy in duke rejected my application...I want to come to Sweden for work can you give me war permit...
Best sushi I’ve ever eaten. Brilliant choices of Italian white wines and amazing Sake. The price is fair according to dishes quality
Good tasting broth but the noodles could be better.Solid ramen!
Tell me a place that cooks better ramen in Stockholm 😍😍😍
Small meat portions but still filling! Nice bathroom, tight setting but still a nice environment.
They only have ramen on Sunday. The food is delicious, but in small portion and quite expensive
Well , to be fair I was expecting much wider wariation of Ramen options, unfortunately when I came it was only two options , not sure if its always like this tho 🤔 but generally experience on + , Ramen was decent, slightly overpriced for what you getting I would break it out into ingredients rate :Nitamago (egg- 2/5 not the flavour of marinated egg you should expect in good Ramen placesChar Chiu (meat - 4/5 nice flavour and but not rich enough and not soft enough, slightly chewyBroth - 4/5 I guess best component of Ramen overall full of flavour rich and thickNoodles 3/4 okay but it taste bit like Noodles from the instant soupsOther toppings- 3/5 I was missing Nori (seaweedand also Menma (marinated bamboo shots )Clean and tidyOverall I would give 6/10 stars 🌟
Ive only eaten here during their "ramen only" Sundays, and for good reason: Blue Light Yokohama has the best ramen Ive tasted in Sweden. While i havent been to Japan myself, friends who have been assure me the quality is comparable to what youd find over there. Delicious broth, pork that melts in your mouth, and creamy eggs complement the noodles, and i recommend you splurge for the combo deal which includes an extra bowl of fried pork and rice. The wait staff has always been friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere in the restaurant is really chill. Perhaps its coolest feature is two tables with Japanese style sunken seating with tatami mats; youll have to take off your shoes to sit there and but it makes for an out of the ordinary experience. I have nothing but good things to say about this place!
It was ok. The service was really bad. Waited 30 minutes for ramen and never got tissues that I asked for. Also, dinner here is overpriced and mediocre. Just don’t do it. Nah.
Having lived in Japan many years and the fact that BLY claims to be authentic I will therefore review this in comparison with a typical Japanese Ramen not your average Swedish place. We had the tonkotsu ramen (pork-brothand while not bad it was a bit of a disspointment. In Japan tonkotsu is a quite thick broth with lots of flavor. Here the broth was thin and quite tasteless (hardly even salty). However, the noodle was well made (and not overcookedand the three small pieces of pork was tender. In japan a different cut of the pork is usually used (rolled pork-shoulderfor ramen but I have never seen this in Sweden. We also tried karaage (fried chickenwhich was very bland and almost tasteless. In Japan the chicken is usually marinated before quickly fried using egg+potato starch as a coating. Here it was served with a ponzu dipping (which is quite unusual since the karaage chicken is supposed to be eaten crispy - not soggy). The dipping was also quite bland and with amost no yuzu taste (must have been mixed with some stock).I will not comment on the price since it is more expensive to run a restaurant in Sweden but all in all we probably wont bother coming back.
You can travel the world and never find better eggplant. This lovely Japanese tapas place is a charming little restaurant with blue retro decor and beyond excellent service and food quality. If you get five meals in Sweden make this place one of them. Recommended as a great place for vegetarians this place blew me away.100% come here.
Great food, great atmosphere. 10/10 would go again
Fantastic Service, I always wondered what the THING about BLY was, why do you have to book months in advance? The truth is excellent food and very limited seating a great concept well worth waiting for. Extraordinary menu with a good variety of unique dishes and a wonderful mixture of well blended textures and tastes!
Nice and accommodating staff, honest prices and cozy atmosphere. It was definitely the highlight of our evening and would love to visit it again when in Stockholm.Make sure to book a table in advance, its quite popular (and rightly so).
First of all, I would say that the food is very delicious, definitely a go-to place to try out genuine Japanese food. The reason why I don’t give a five star is that I think the food could be prepared with more love, considering the price for each dish is around 135kr. To be more specific, the sashimi didn’t taste very fresh; salads on the top of each dish are a little monotonous.I would recommend especially the pork belly and simmered beef dishes - serve them with a bowl of rice and finish with pouring the last part of the gravy into the last bit of your rice. Cozy food 🍲👍😇
Great place with good vibes and flavorful food.We had BLY days selection gem, kamikaze rolls, pork belly, crab tempura, all-veg rolls, grilled aubergine + tofu and green tea ice cream. My personal favourites (in the picswere the BLY days selection gem and the kamikaze rolls. Splendid 🍣s!Really hard to get a spot here, so make sure to book a seat in advance.
What a nice Japanese restaurant 🤩 we had a variety of sushi, sake and fried eggplant 🍆 which was very delicious- never ate something that nice lately. Also is the setup well done and it was part of our food tour through Södermalm
We had a lovely sharing dinner experience for 3 men with 12 dishes in their custom made tatami table in the back of the restaurant where you take the shoes off. My favorites were “Kakuni” & “Yukke“. It was very nice and we are coming back to try their ramen and sushi next time. Osusume! おすすめです〜 👏😋
Can only comment on the Ramen:1Noodles are of poor quality (instant?)2The ‘authentic’ broth is thin and lacks character.3the egg was over cooked4overpriced for what you getIf you’re expecting a taste of Japan, don’t. Perhaps the 4.4 rating is more indicative of what they serve between Tuesday - Saturday.
Favourite authentic Japanese food. Just try.
Been there three times so far. They make the best sushi Ive ever had. My friends and I talk about the kamikaze rolls multiple times between our visits. Definitely will continue visiting this place.
Great little place with food to die for. It all felt authentic and you even had to remove your shoes before sitting.I especially enjoyed their wide assortment of sake and can suggest taking the tasting menu. Youll be sure to leave full and satisfied.Only thing I could have asked for is a somewhat better ventilation. It quickly became warm when the restaurant filled up with people.
Had an absolutely wonderful time and would absolutely recommend coming here. Im not the biggest fan of Sushi but the Kamikaze Rolls were just stunning, if youre not a fan of Sushi you should give it a shot.
A truly unique experience with authentic Japanese cuisine and good selection of sake. Delicious black cod and vegetarian dishes, superb sushi! One gets to wear special slippers to be used in the bathroom though their toilet ain’t warmed up like the ones in Japan 😆 You can dream yourself away to Tokyo or Kyoto hoping for corona times to be over soon. Until then visit Blue Light Yokohama!
Veg ramen was very good. The service was good- the young guy was polite and friendly. Waiting hours are long, probably because of its demand. Always ore book. Washroom could be cleaner.Could put sanitizers around as this is covid times.
Really really nice place to go for a cosy dinner 🥘. Super friendly staff and the food is AMAZING! Check the pictures.....yummy food!!!😋🤤
The staff was very friendly, it’s better to book a table; because it’s always quite busy. I highly recommend their Ramen which is served only on weekends. The fried chicken is also super good with some Sake drink 🤤
This is a cozy place for dinner with friendly service and a unique, small-plate (think tapas, butJapanese menu. The aubergine tofu dish is simply amazing. However, don’t be surprised when the bill to be more than you expected as you order more and more of the tasty, but small plates!
Excellent Ramen on a bitter cold Monday evening. You can order ramen on Sundays and Mondays and you have to preorder, read on their site.I think the ramen was among the best in Stockholm and you can’t really go wrong with any of the choices.
In take-away or in the restaurant, the experience is always great! Sushis are really one of the best in Stockholm, I also loved the fried crab! The staff is really friendly & nice! However if you make a reservation for lots of people, the set menu might be a better option to keep a budget ;)
As a vegetarian or vegan, Japanese restaurants in Stockholm often offer only a selection of sushi bites. Here you find edamame, delicious baked eggplants, vegetable tempura, agedashi tofu and macha tea tiramisu.
Tested their ramen! Best tonkotsu ramen I had in Stockholm. Rich broth. Too bad they only serve it on sundays. The kara age was pleasant too. The atmosphere feels like izakaya style - relaxed, chill, warm and somewhat noisy. It was a bit hard to catch the waitors attention.
Great ramen! Had a spicy garlic pork broth, very creamy but not too heavy. The grilled tonkotsu pork was perfect.
If you want Swedens best sushi, look no further. The quality of the food and the service is outstanding. Chef Tom-san is really funny and kind. Ask him about their Sake and hell give you a short history lesson about Japan and its sake. Highly recommend this place. Swedens best japanese restaurant, run by real japanese people with real authentic japanese food.
Service was so so not very attentive. We went there on ramen Sunday. The flavor of the soup and the elastic noodles made the ramen one of the better ones in Stockholm. But again it feels like noodles are cut for Swedish since they are awfully short...
I would rate this place 3.5. Small menu, nice broth and nice consistency of noodles. Overall good experience.
Ive been a couple of times and the food is always great. Normally quite expensive but definitely worth the spend. However on Sundays they have a special ramen menu which is both fantastic and quite affordable, plus it is much more authentic than most ramen places in Stockholm.
Brilliant staff and great Ramen, especially the Tonkatsu Spicy Garlic! One of the best in Stockholm
Excellent food and service. The fried chicken and the sashimi are really good.
During their Sunday Ramen special, they serve one of the best Tonkotsu Ramen in Stockholm. A very rich and fat broth with ginger combined with a tasty flavorful pork and the pickled onion really worked in unison. Highly recommended if you are looking for good Ramen in Stockholm.
Great Ramen on Sunday! The broth is extremely rich in taste, there is just enough of freshness in the spring onions and pickled veg.The one single thing that they could improve is the egg. If they would change this from a (perfectlycooked egg to a nice marinated egg. Then Id never eat ramen somewhere else ever again!
Since March 2019, new opening hours for Ramen Sundays. 12:00-21:00
Authentic Japanese food. Ramen Sunday is an absolute thing to do! Nice interior and kind staffs are plus.
The food is good but be prepared for the bill. Every slice of salmon costs about 35 kr (apprx 3 euro).
Have been there in on the Sunday ramen when they only serve ramen that is really close to the Japanese ramen and an other day when I tested the tasting menu, both days was a great experiences.
Some compare this restaurant to others in Japan but c’mon!!! I’d say this restaurant follows as authentic Japan as possible and the foods are worth the price. I will come back when I miss my home flavor of Tokyo :)
It was good place to have speciall dinner but too expensive restaurant. those dishies in the picture(2 orange juice+roll 10pc+small wakkyu+ricewas 370SEK/50000KRW.If you want to visit here, you should make a reservation in advance.
