Nagaria Steak House - Steak house in Taiping, Malaysia
Classic restaurant for western food but they also serve asian choices. Steak was average, expected a bit more flavour and final packaging from a restaurant specialising in it. Price is reasonable and service is good. More of a place for family and gathering of friends than for dates.
good food , delicious especially the curry fish head.
Simple yet delicious home cuisine
Food is okay for Taiping standards. Quite disappointed with the service as its super slow.
Hate to say that. But this one is a real disappointment. Their food are far from good.
Ordered Kobe steak but was shocked by how tough the meat was even if medium done.. Go for chicken should be a better choice instead.
Cozy place with reasonable price
Its a hotplate steak kind of steak. Not the best but okay. But what killed it was the sides. For the price youll expect much more probably some grilled mixed veg or simply steamed broccoli and cauliflower. But what you get is a sort of cheap baked beans, 2 slice cut tomatoes and cucumber. Something needs to change in this restaurant...
The Yat Sun Restaurant in Taiping served tasty meals. I had the soup and crispy toasted bread with my main of black pepper lamb chop. It was yumms, and value for money. The taste made up for the extra hour driving up north to get there. Will go again if I ever go back to Taiping.
Nothing to shout about except that it has an old-school ambiance. Portion very small and for the amount we paid for, we could get much bigger portion in Penang. This I can tell, since my wife (small eatercould finish her meal and still say shes hungry. Bought some Pisang Goreng on our way back to our carWe dont mind pushing the price aside if the food is great, but unfortunately the food taste in Nagaria was way below satisfactoryRequire much needed approvement in service. Understand that "sky juice" is free and self service but with customers less than 10 at my time of dining and with a floor staff of 4-5, I think this policy, under this circumstance, could be pushed aside. Well I suppose its better to conjure together chatting loudly for all patrons to hear than to give service to your paying customers. What would I know since I have been in the service line for over 20 years nowAnyway other than the ambience, this place is a pass for us
Had a quick lunch here and was pleased with the friendliness and service of the staff despite being understaffed.Food wasn’t that bad for its price but certainly not great. It’s portion is skewed towards the smaller side. Garlic steak was decent but sauce was extremely salty. French fries and beans side were terrible.Fried noodles tasted alright but do note that it’s quite wet. Ice lemon tea was extremely sweet.
A very old timeless cafe serving tasty western and local food. Good portion. Had a garlic sauce steak. 👍
Good food and ambience... Go at night to enjoy better ambience.
We are total 8 adults and most of us agree that the seasoning is abit too heavy on the western cuisine .... Too salty for us .
Small fine dining place with more than 40 years Western combination with Asian cuisine in Taiping township. (Reasonable price)
More than 30 years historical steak provider. One of the oldest restaurant serving western food. The classic of its restaurants name make it feeling back in time. Food taste good.
Food is tasty and reasonably priced.
Nice place and delicious food.
Cosy place for dinner. Good for family or date dinners. Tasty dishes at reasonable price. Also has the old school, "the ship" kinda feel in a small town.
My all time favourite restaurant.. I specifically love their fish and chips
One of the best place in Taiping for western foodTry the black pepper chicken chop , very nice smelp
The best Inchi Kabin and buttered prawns
Food was good....atmosphere was the main reason for my fourth visit....but i suggest to improvise on the course by course serving....Like my order on the last visit was 1 mushroom soup,1 bombay chicken chop(original intention was for a steak, but Item 86 for that dayand a juice....so i were served a mushroom soup with bread which was a good appetizer, but i were just halfway with the soup trying to spend some good time alone there arrives the main dish...so literally i am having both menus on my table.By the time i am done with my soup and about to continue with my main course its already cold....if it were hot,the taste would have been perfect.I work in F&B industry too, take this as an advise and move on ya.....good luck for your business.
One Taipings institution. A must stop when ever you are in town. We love the fish head curry and chicken masala - highly recommended. Western menu are all good too.
The food is good , excellent service , clean and cozyAmple parking
The Western menu was a disaster.Triple lamb chop was in bits of a piece of cut.Mint sauce tasted like there was chemical in it.. Too small portions and certainly not worth the price. The fish hard and dry.Black pepper sauce had some kind of masala taste. Will be back to taste the other spread though.
Kampung fried rice n crab cocktail very nice 👌👌👌👌👌👌👍👍👍👍👍👍💯💯💯💯💯💯
Bern frquenting since childhood, would always stop by whenever Im back at my lovely hometown.
The best cuisine ever I ate since my childhood
Nice place, tasty food, good service.
Nice n delicious varieties food.price reasonable...good place for family gathering...place not suitable for big gathering as the place is small
Nice steak for the price. Highly recommend for those budget eaters. Homely environment and friendly staff
Good and reasonable prices for western food.
Longest operating western food restaurant in Taiping and still as good as ever.
Cozy, comfy & homey. Recommended if visiting Taiping. For tourist - free wifi too! But thats the least of the attraction here.
The flavour is too salty for my family, but the crabmeat cocktail and cream of mushroom are delicious.
Cosy environment, cheap steak. Support local restaurant.
Nice environment for family gathering.Clean food but price a bit high
Best fish head curry in town, great service
Nice food...
Free WiFi. Air conditioned. Has TV. Has lunch set on weekdays. Plain water is served by default. Friendly staffs. Foods is good too.
The ventilation is poor though
Not so worth it tbh. The portion was not matched with price. Taste was bland
For Taiping this Cafe is what Eden is to Penang. Formerly it was known as comfy corner. It also occupies a space where Cathay Restaurant was located. It is also where the late Sultan of Perak Almarhum Sultan Idris use to play his saxaphone when he is in town. Its nostalgic and the western fare and Oriental food are cook on the spot. It is a pork free restaurant
Very quiet place with nice ambience. Service is good but servings are small. Overall enjoyed the lunch.
Great food but not as good as before
Had the hot plate chicken, portion a little small but the gravy was amazingly good!
The place is a little run down and the ambiance resembles that of an old coffee house from the 80s. The food quality can be improved.
Taiping oldest Steak House . Reasonable price 4 ****
I like the foods here.Service are also good.
