Fantastic timing and top service. We arrived at 2.45 and had our ferry, leaving from just in front, at 3.20. They made it to serve 9 of us and get us in time to the boarding! Wonderful!! Thank you so much

I really like Nostos, I come here many times a year, living just 10 minutes walk away, to enjoy the relative calm and truly unpretentious, genuine atmosphere.One of the longer established tavernas here, Nostos is also quite large. There are three seating areas: at the front a pebbled terrace, excellent for a sunny breakfast in summer, extends to a roofed area protecting customers from the sun. Roll down screens add protection in the cooler months. Next to the kitchen is a tiled area with nine or ten tables where locals gather in the winter.The kitchen is well staffed with two chefs and assistants. Today there are two waiters making sure food is delivered promptly. The menu is extensive and includes traditional Greek dishes as well as meat and fish on Adonis charcoal.I have enjoyed more than 250 dinners here, and have never been disappointed. Others provide food critique and photos, so I will do that later.

Avoid the breakfast, very poor quality.

Best moussaka on the island!

Bad, really bad quality. Completely unknown for Greek standards Fish was old almost spoiled. Dakos was not dakos at all, poorly prepared. Big disappointment if you think that they are very close to the sea. Also the kitchen is amazingly dirty. They gave me the impression that they dont care about their place at all.

The fishplate looked lovely but it didnt taste that good.

No Nostos, maybe next time they will have some. Good stop while waiting for the ferry.

The good was good but they forgot about us and we needed to wait about 45min beside we needed to chatch the Bus.

Avoid breakfast. Came straight off the ferry from Kalymnos and headed here because it was the first place for food we found, the continental breakfast consisted of store bought bread for €6 and the waiter was blunt and unpleasant. You will be ripped off.

Dont get breakfast. English consisted of 2 pieces of bacon, 2 eggs and some pieces if tomato. Tiny and expansive, avoid this tourist trap

Breakfast is a scam, terrible coffee, cheapest supermarket food imaginable and a pitiful quantity of food for a €5 continental.If you made the woeful decision to buy an English, youll be set back €7 for three pieces of rubbery bacon, two pallid eggs, and two slices of raw tomato.

AVOID BREAKFAST !!!!!! Go to a descent restaurant (many herethat are not just geared up to rip off tourists. We came back from Kalymnos and for some extremely strange reason this place is recommended by Jet 2 holidays as a waiting point for the coach to the airport.Menu has no detail at all of what the various breakfasts include and the waiter who exudes "I dont care" was vague as he muttered away.Presented with the continental breakfast. A small glass of orange (from a cheap cartonan awful cup of tea and some bread.Thats it !!!!!! Oh nearly forgot you also get a bill for €5 !!!!Considering how MOST greek restaurants are welcoming, informative and good value, this place is shocking. When we asked if this was the total of the breakfast again Mr.Couldnt Give A Toss said yes its the policy of the restaurant.AVOID and go to anywhere else

We missed the ferry to Kalymnos due to the lack of airport taxis. So we had several hours to kill. We saw the (we thinkowner in the front and decided to go there. The food was very good, and the owner and waiter were extremely nice. The owner even speaks multiple languages quite fluently (including Turkish, Polish, German, Italian, and Russian). So all are welcome!Nice spot by the circle with Poseidon and views of the water. Not the worst way to wait a few hours.Highly recommended!

Nostos probably has the best kalamari in the island and we literally ate there every night for 14 nights. Every food there is amazing and normally we tried everything when we go travelling but because we love their food so much we came back every evening. The portion of each order are so big. The owner and cook Antonio is so honest that when we ordered food he said that it is going to be too much for 4 of us and he is right we could not finish the order and portion of mix fish for 2.The wife or we call mama sieve such a lovely woman who gave us treats from her own garden everytime we finish eating there. Stella and svilli the Greek waiter are so nice and helpful. Please if you are in mastichari try there kalamari and fishes they are so amazing. Here some of the pictures

Really lovely special salad here, absolutely blew me away, it had red wine cheese in it and caper leaves and berries which added a saltiness that was really tasty excellent food here, we went back 3 x. Also serve a good cold beer

The service in OK even though the waiter misunderstood my order. It took a while before we received our meal with guests who arrived us (speaking Greek being served faster. General opinion its ok but I have been to better places.

Reasonable Greek food right in front of the small port that will take you to Kalymnos and on the opossite side of the road to the bus stop to the airport and Kos .so well placed its nderstandable that its the first taverna in Mastichiari , previously an old winery , still ruled by the same family.

Some great places to eat in the main town. Nice beach lower down.

Good place, when you are waiting for ferry to Kalymnos. Very big offer of traditional dishes even sea food or meat. Se paid 48euro for kleftiko, fish, 2 portion of chicken brests and beverages.

Good food, but no vegan options, have to alter an existing recipe.

Worst food Ive ever had. They are selling "paella" as risotto with seafood. Its not fresh seafood, its frozen food. Mussels were so bad. I couldnt finish because of bad taste. Spaghetti with shrimps only were lukewarm. I dont understand why people recommend this restaurant.

They are very kind and helpful. A lot of people have to wait here for the bus or the boat, and they dont mind if you remain sitting at the table for hours just drinking a coke. They also keep an eye on your baggage if you want to go for a walk.Good food at honest prices, too, but the real trump card is the great hospitality.

Such helpful people. Helped us find our way to the ferry going to Kalymnos and a taxi to the airport coming home. P.S the best moussaka on the island.

We had lunch with my wife at Nostos. Great fish plate for two persons was very tasty and no so expensive. And nice waiter David from Georgia:)

Very polite waiters. Amazingly delicious food and very peacefull ambient. We had 4 diferent traditional food plates, 4 beers, a bottle of watter, and degistive ouzo and a full plate of watermellon. Octopuss was awesome and all that for only 37 €. Will go there again as soon as possible :-)
