NORMS Restaurant in Riverside

When I dont have a lot of money, but want good food & a lot of it, I go to Norms.What can I say? Always good food, always leave very full.Leaves me with enough $ to leave a great tip. Cuz the service is on point.Do yourself a favor and stop by Norms for some good food.Tellm Spyder sent ya!!

Awesome server Yvonne was so helpful and knew the menu food was great chicken fried steak and new york steak was perfectly vooked.bill.

The food was good, the star was the French toast 👌🏽. I got the plate with 2 bacon, 2 sausage, ham 2 eggs and home fries and asked for French toast instead of pancakes. Wouldve been nice to know that they were 3 dollars extra but they are great. The salted caramel cold brew was good but the hot coffee is hit or miss, parents didnt like that the French vanilla was already in the mug so it came out too sweet some times. The food that came with my plate was also lackluster, pretty sure it only had 1 egg. Overall Id give it a chance and be sure to get the French toast again.

All my food was cooked to order, fresh and our waitress was very nice. All around a good experience

Busy, so get ready to wait unless you want to sit at the bar. Not cheap like fast food, but they give you and abundance of food. Everything Ive ever tried over the past couple years of going is delicious. Totally worth it. Family favorite.

This location is usually always busy. The food hits all the Norms standards. You can usually walk right up to a counter seat. Depending on the shift you will have quick expediant service.

They were very busy but we were seated quickly. The server was friendly helpful and efficient. The bourbon chicken was moist and flavorful. They skimped on the veggies bc they had just run out and it would be 20 minutes before more was ready so they gave me some fresh fruit. The rice pilaf was fluffy and tasty. I love their very berry lemonade. I would go back.

Not as good as it use to be, plus many mistakes on our food. 1st steak was super pink we asked for well done, 2nd chicken tender was under cooked and chewy, 3rd orange juice was so watered down that no one would drink it. Oh and the 1 star is for the server who was very nice and attentive. Definitely not going back.

We grabbed a Lyft to Norms as our vehicle was being services at a nearby dealership. There was a 30 min wait upon arrival, but we were seated shortly after arriving. Norms was crowded and busy as usual. The food was hot and arrived in a short amount of time. The waitress was attentive and got the order right.

I have been going to Norms since I was a kid living in Redondo Beach and have always loved the food hear.About 15 years ago I moved to the Inland Empire and I amazed at how they havent changed. They constantly serve good portions at a fair price and great customer service.

Service was excellent the food came out fast and was fresh. Great place to have a a meal any time of day.

Very great place for breakfast, Jose our waiter was very nice. The Cashier Loran was VERY friendly and had such a bright and welcoming attitude.

Service was awesome, but the kitchen cook needs to pay more attention to the baked potato, and the T-bone and Porterhouse steak. I couldve done a better job barbequing it. Not being disrespectful, but pay more attention to time. Potato was beyond baked, both steaks were horrible. I couldve gone up the street to Yardhouse and payed the same for their steaks and it would of came out way better.

First off food was cold and the baked potato was moldy and hard . Service was horrible and the waitress lady was looking at my 8month old daughter the whole time we wrre there because her father is dark and she didnt believe that he was her dad she straight up off the bat told me oh thats ur daughter . Like well yea just cause shes not dark like her dad doesnt mean she isnt his . Rude and very disrespectful amd unprofessional🤮🤮🤮

I always love to visit Norms. The servers all stop by and ask where weve been. They are always open. I enjoy the food, made right in front of my eyes. This time they even gave me a discount for being a AAA-member!

I love the staff dearly, but whats the rush???Breakfast burrito was oily and had egg shell bits. They said they couldnt substitute my nachos whatsoever - in what restaurant is that acceptable? I wouldnt have mind paying extra for some fries. ⭐Shakes are nothing to write home about 0/5 stars.Gumbo soup is 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Chicken steak was good.Sandwich was ok.Will never come back here again.

It’s too bad on your delivery reviews there’s no place to critique the food. I’m a shrimp short and you forgot the chives. The the delivery was fine. But the order was not

We had breakfast Havent eaten here since they opened bc food was awful service too.Wait time awful and not too busy.This time we have eaten breakfast 3 times lunch 2.Thank you to the new staff we will be back soon.Great food prices are good.

This was my first time to this restaurant ( Norms the service was top-notch, the food was outstanding. The restaurant was very clean. I was sitting at a booth as the sun started to set right into my eyes. The manager walked over to the window with a menu and tape and proceeded to tape up the menu blocking the sunlight from terrorizing my vision. This is the kind of service, love and respect one should always receive, thank you for your kindness. An extremely satisfied customer, Ill be back !!!

Misleading advertising on their 9.99 ribs. It served cold when you order. They didnt even tell you that over the phone. Deceiving people. Manager and staff was rude when you try to confront them. Very unprofessional people working there. Never coming back and will let family and friends know not to come there either.

Every time weve gone the staff have always been friendly and patient, including our last visit late last night. We love their breakfasts so much weve stuck to ordering them exclusively.The only thing Id recommend avoiding is the claw machine they have just inside the front door. Like most machines nowadays, the claw only VERY gently glides along the sides of whatever you drop it on instead of actually grabbing it.

Great food for a old school place like norms. Reason for 4 stars, customer service lacks in this restaurant. Almost waited an hour before getting our food and the waiter tall guy with slick backed hair likes to ignore his tables and has a slight attitude when it comes down to servicing his tables...

Our first time here and it was really good. Prices were great and everyone in our group was full when we left! Will plan to come here again next time were in the area. The wait wasnt too long either, we were a group of 11 and it was a late Friday morning.

We took family there..I have never eaten @ norms... been in SOCAL 17 yrs First time.. Service was really really good... Food was....well .... not good at all.. Total waste of $200.00…. how ever our waitress deserved her $45 tip!!

Good Staff. Okay Food. Okay seevice.The quality of bacon and sausage was too low. Never seen such small sausages, bacon was not fresh. Im sad 😔

My wife and I have been going to Norms for a while. What keeps us coming back is the price, the quality of food and the service. Never had a bad experience there. Didnt matter what hour of the day. Great consistency each time.

Waitress was distracted, didnt speak good English and was not attentive to table at all. Food was cold,my friend took one bite of her meatloaf and was done.when we got to register she told hostess her food was so bad she couldnt eat it,she was charged anyway 18$! And was scolded told well you should never order meatloaf at a restaurant thats something you only eat at home! NOPE we will not go back.

We luv eating at Norms good food and price are reasonable.Service we have never had a problem. Good servers. Service was excellent.😁

This place used to be really good, but this last time I went with my wife for a date lunch was pretty bad. The restaurant itself smelled like stagnant water along with our server. Nothing was wrong with the food initially, but a bit after eating there we experienced wicked bad yummy aches. This place needs a better standard on hygiene and not get complacent with it

I ordered the four course meal Salmon with soup,and salad, baked potato and for dessert the strawberry cake the whole meal was delicious especially the Salmon,my server was Roberta great customer service very friendly I really enjoyed.

I gave a four star because everything was serve at once. Salad soup main course. Then the waitress said can you paid your bill now because she going home now in the middle of eating dinner. Okay no problem. Only had to stop eating so I can paid the bill.

Super friendly, clean, has a classic American cafe feel to it. food was good and seats were comfortable, great lighting...seating and food didnt take to long but it gets busy.Some homeless people hanging around, the entrance from the front is fine but the alley in the back is kinda awkward.

I love Norms but the one in Riverside is awful. They take forever to seat you even when it’s not busy at all. I asked many times how long and finally Lissete seated us after being very rude with me. We still waited and no one came to place silverware and we did not receive our silverware and did not receive our drinks. They’ve seated about 10 people before us when were there first and our table was ready but they did not want to seat us lissete practically started arguing with me in the middle of Norms. I ended up walking out embarrassed and upset this will be my last visit here.

The for was very good I love coming to norms they need one In Moreno Valley cause Dennys getting alittle over used 🤣👌 but this place always has amazing food

Norms always serves highest quality at affordable prices.- This morning I had breakfast at Norms. First off the restaurant was only half full. Maybe they had half staff. I had to ask for some coffee. I ordered sirloin steak and eggs over easy. As you can see from the picture. Over easy egg yoke should not stand on the end of your fork.I know everyone is busy. All this I can live with. I give these reviews honestly. I have been a loyal customer at Norms since they opened in Riverside. I always give good reviews to them. I do not want to stop anyone from dinning at Norms. On the contrary. If you havent already please enjoy your own experience. Peace big John

Food is always great... Love their pancakes any time of the day.It wasnt too busy when I went. Food came quick and it was hot and fresh the same with coffee. Our waitress was pleasant and friendly.

Everything we order was delicious, the amount of money matches the amount of the food you get on your plate, the place was very clear, the waitress very attentive. We had a wonderful experience I definitely recommend (if theres a line is worth the wait).

I want to start off by saying I love NORMS and come here often however today I was very disappointed.. first off they took forever to take our order.. second the waiter kept calling me mama and babe.. so unprofessional.. brought me a coffee 45 min later.. no utensils to mix it.. and the worst of it was when I got finally got my food there was a hair in it!!!! 🥴🤢🤮 very unsatisfactory and disgusting.. never again!!

Really nice restaurant. I had a breakfast with eggs, sirloin steak, pancakes, and hashbrowns. Everything was cooked perfect. My only complaint is that the place is very busy and you will be waiting a while to get seated. Otherwise its a very good place.

I think this place used to be a five-star restaurant. Quality seems to go away over the years. I remember the chicken tenders being delicious as ever and everything else on the menu as well! Seems like the last three visits over the past 3 4 years has been unsatisfied. Not sure whats going on but I dont think Ill be back to visit and if I do come back its to see if the French toast are still the best Ive ever had! I hope that stays the same at least.

I arrived at this restaurant in Riverside at about 1pm on a Tuesday and was seated almost immediately. I ordered a water to start as I was waiting for a friend and the water arrived in less than a minute.The place was very clean, well-lighted and appealing. The menu is now only one big laminated page with full-color photos on front and back.I had to downgrade by one star because of the following:The French fries were delicious, but the portion was below average. 48 French fries for $3.99 + tax = $.09 per French fry. (See picture)For a place known for bigger portions, this was not what I have come to expect.

Consistently provides large portions ant a great price, service is always good. Dishes can be hit and miss but most are great.

We tried to order online To-Go dinner. Unfortunately Norms online order does not allow option to customize. We tried to call in our order and sent to voice mail twice.We drove to Norms, made To- Go order at 840pm. 940pm food was ready. Arrive home at 950pm, food was ice cold. Fail.

I order bigger better breakfast to go. Only until arriving home I noticed that hotcakes were only cooked on one side, the other in not caramelized and taste uncooked. I called to the stored, because I couldnt get back for the moment and they let me know that I would only get a refund if I come back to the store immediately. Not coming back at all.

This is a very nice restaurant with tons of different items on their menu, the food is always great and the service is fantastic and the staff has always been very friendly, very helpful and polite and very courteous, eat local, spend local,buy local, and Prices for their food is excellent.

We had the Steak, shrimp and chicken trio dinner...which included soup-salad - and potatoes. All for $25 for 2. Also we were able to eat inside the restaurant. Not a bad deal!!

Went here for breakfast around 9am on Saturday morning. Parking wasnt a problem and we only needed to wait 3 minutes to be seated. Good menu variety and good service. Everything we had was well prepared and tasted great. Like a lot of places, they dont seem to use salt on breakfast items, but thats not a problem for us. You can always add some if you like.
