NIKOS The Grove - Greek restaurant in Pretoria, South Africa
Delicious food and very friendly staff! Good selection of food and wine.
I had a decent experience at Nikos. The restaurant is located in the food Court at the Grove mall. The menu had authentic Greek food, however, it was a little rich for my taste. Service was on the poor side, the restaurant wasnt busy but the waiter kept on ignoring me and my wife.
Affordable fresh food. Quick service and fantastic staff.
Good service and friendly staff. Food was well prepared and value for money. Atmosphere a bit noisy as it is in the mall, but it was nice to be there.
Friendly service, interesting menu. A must try for anyone interested in greek cuisine.
Good food and friendly stuff,,clean place and I wont mind eating there everyday
Friendly service, great food and wonderful atmosphere.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff - eager to assist. The food is great - always a treat!
Good food and good portion - decently priced, ordered a platter to share with six people and there were leftovers.
Love. My fave restaurant. Different, but still better than Kream and Black Bamboo.
We went there on a quiet week morning early. The biggest problem was to interpret the menu as we are not Greek. It is definitely not a traditional spur or m& b type restaurant so it has a lot of real Greek style dishes seeing as it was breakfast time it was a bit hard to believe that there were no bacon and eggs or a variation of it on the menu.. sadly.. but we settled for cheese and mushroom burgers. The Burgers were good sadly the buns were served ice cold and it was easy to see that they were left in the fridge overnight. The patty with the cheese and mushrooms were pretty good but spoilt by the buns. The fries or chips as we call it was a bit oily and dry which made us wonder if they were reheated from the day before. I ordered a cup of coffee but it was way too small for a breakfast cup of coffee. So I had to resort to milkshake instead. The strawberry milkshakes was the best part of the visit. All made up with extra cream and two bonus marshmallows it was a n awesome consolation prize. The waiter seemed friendly and efficient but the ball was dropped by the kitchen. None the less I might still return for the milkshake.. After this review i was contacted by the NIKOS management and got invited back to the restaurant. I went back kind of unannounced to make sure i get the best experience so one evening i just arrived and took a seat and ordered some food NIKOS gave free appetizers while i waited and it was delicious The Htipiti sauce or filling was delicious. After eating too much of the appetizer i ordered a Beef or chicken wrap with more of the sauce on the side it was amazing I really enjoyed the food and the service was good and even the music was good so i really enjoyed the experience so only after i had eaten did i alert the staff that i was there on invitation after which they promptly called the manager who then gave me a discount on my bill it was all around a good experience and they have managed to swing my opinion and i would definitely recommend it as a good place to eat.
Fresh & good home-style Greek food with excellent service and reasonable prices. The yiros are fantastic! The outside area is very pretty with the outside fairy lights of the centre. There is a huge drinks variety & the Nikos lager on tap is recommended.
A chilled, easygoing Greek restaurant. The menu is relatively simple, with light meals, but always good. Definitely one of my favourite restaurants.
The food was tasty enough, but rather expensive for what you received. A lot of starch and very little meat. Good atmosphere and excellent service and friendly waiters.
Lovely atmosphere and excellent service. All meals Ive had on my visits were tasteful and well prepared. Calamari outstanding! Worth visiting.
Overly expensive for what you get. Had to pay R58 for halloumi the size of a fish finger... First time here. Will be my last. Rather go elsewhere.
My favorite restaurant in Pretoria. They have a great breakfast menu which includes a free coffee. Try the breakfast yiro. The portions are generous, the food tasty and the staff very attentive. Probably one of the best run restaurants I have ever eaten at.
Good atmosphere, great food, stunning decor, friendly and helpful staff. Interesting cocktail menu. We had a very good time at NIKOS! Very unique
Was good service was quick and perfect even though there was only 1 person serving and taking orders at the front
Amazing food at very reasonable prices. We were also served a started and our waiter explained the different sauces. Great service as well. Were definitely coming back!
Lovely, cozy, friendly and welcoming stuff/management and lovely Greek good,
This is such a great place for good Greek food. The owners are friendly and it really has a lovely vibe
Delicious food at reasonable prices and generous portions. We were also served a lovely complementary starter of pita breads and dips. The only criticism I have is that the plates are lined, rather unnecessarily in my opinion, with paper that cannot be recycled because it would be covered with grease and food.
Come here for great Greek food in Pretoria! Good food, friendly & speedy service! This branch seems to uphold the standard of the other Nikos restaurants that I have visited.
We keep coming back because its just so good! Weve had amazing service and food each of the four times that weve visited. Most recently Andre took good care of us. We really enjoyed the cheese croquettes - would recommend!
Nice environment, good customer service, and the food is great
I love this place. Their food is excellent and something different than the usual wish their plates werent metal and I could smash them afterwards like on vetkoek paleis, Olé !
5 OUT OF 5. An absolute delight! The entire experience was wonderful from the moment we sat down. Friendly staff , spectacular food and very affordable. If management manage this gem with care it will be The place to dine at the grove!
Excellent meals and service on every occasion eating there, always go back, MY 3 Brothers 👍
Good service and delicious food. Excellent service. Ill go anytime!😋
Amazing food. Great atmosphere. Good service. Average prices
Very enjoyable. Service, food, ambience - all great. Enjoy the Tuesday Yiro special.
Great authentic Greek food. The setting is also very nice with very good service.
Super food. Great service. Fried was was well prepared and not oily. Friendly atmosphere. Will definitely visit again. Authentic taste experience.
The food was authentic and the service was excellent. The only comment is the fried foods need a little more draining. Offers vegetarian options
Staff was friendly but the food was very poor. Pricey for low standard food.
What a super place! The food was outstanding. The portions are plentiful. The prices are on par with other restaurants. Their chips are the nicest that Ive ever had in a restaurant. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening out.
Great food at a great price. Loved it
Fanrastic food, great service! The lamb shank...WOW!!
Great value for money. Good variety of food that is well seasoned and easy to share. The staff are attentive without being overbearing. The menu has been reviewed since opening and dishes are updated.Definitely one of the best restaurants in the Grove.
Decided to have breakfast at Nikos and was very impressed with the food and the service. Great value for money!
A must go and eat there waw the best service in years and try the Ribs and chips goodness
Amazing Food! The quality and flavour was Perfect. Great value for money too. Thank you we indulged.
Authentic Greek food with friendly staff.
About as good Greek cuisine as youre likely to get in South Africa. Highly recommended for a taste of the Mediterranean.
Love the food. Would appreciate dairy milk alternatives that would make it possible to enjoy a cappuccino there. Greatful however for the vegan meal choices.
A real surprise and new cultural experience for me. My husband and daughter discovered this restaurant on their father-daughter date and insisted we should try it. I was sceptical because I did not " trust " or wanted to try Greek food. Boy, how wrong was I! The restaurant is freshly decorated. The blue and white tiles and authentically greek style and decor lends to the lovely vibe. We had the chicken skewers and chips with some greek pita bread and tzatziki! I LOVED IT! The service is above average and very friendly. I think I found my new favourite lunch break away.
Always great service, their breakfast is very underrated.Linda and Max are just awesome waiters. Try their ios Yiro with hummus
Highly recommended - great greek food and excellent service.Good selection of wines by the glass too.Lovely sitting in the open area of The Grove Mall.
Really great greek food some nice decor, refreshing. Also the staff is super friendly!
