NH8 Restaurant - Rajasthani restaurant in Kolar, India
NH8 Restaurant in Kolar
Description
Privilege
Poor quality food with exorbitant price of more than ₹500 per head. Not visiting again ever. Rajdhani will be better any time.
MoreThe place is really pretty to have a family dinner on certain veg-only occasions. Thali is the best option to opt for, youll get to try everything. The staff members are really kind. You get to wear the Rajasthani turban (not sure what its calledmenu is pretty basic, worth visiting ONCE for the feels of it.
MoreVisited today after almost 3 years, Thali was the only choice for lunch, It’s highly expensive (₹549and definitely not worth for the verities and the taste of items.
MoreGood rajasthani amd gujrati buffet available. Service was a bit slow. Taste is good. Not awesome but not bad either.
MoreExcellent variety, authentic Rajasthani good. Ambience and interiors go well with the food. Worth a visit!!

MoreFirst visit- went in without reservation on early Sunday afternoon and managed to find a table for 5 of us. Ambience is decent and seating is both tables and a few sit down set up. Got a lot of pagadis and take photos. Fixed Thali with good variety experiencing cuisines dotting NH8. Friendly staff with good service - sometimes they get overwhelmed with the crowd but are at their best at every table. Taste of all dishes get a thumbs up. Costs rs 550 per thali including taxes and kids thali for rs 350. Worth the money. Parking for 4 wheelers has to be on the nearby streets.
MoreRajasthani thali. Good service and polite staff
Hi everyone , last weekend i had visited to NH8 with my family for dinner,Food : The food Was delicious it was a Rajasthani thali .there was about 15 varieties of food in the thalithere are 5 different varieties of thali there is a thali called as kids thali so kids can also enjoy the food .Ambience : the ambience of the restaurant is very authentic and beautiful .since its a Rajasthani restaurant ,its cultures traditions are brought together . starting from sitting arrangements to thalis ,wall paintings, pagdi (traditional Rajasthani hata special tree with puppets are very attractive to seeHospitality : talking about the hospitality ,the food service is fastWaiters are sweet and very hospitable.Distance : if you are staying in sahakaranagar its near far people can also reach by Google mapLandmark : next to Allen Solly and opposite to Riddhi Siddhi fashion. The only thing I felt was it took me few minutes to figure the restaurant name as it has no big hoarding so just follow the landmark otherwise all in all its a good fine dine restaurant to visit with family.
MoreThe GO TO place for authentic Rajasthani food experience. It is a pure vegetarian restaurant. The menu has only 1 item - RAJASTHANI MEALS/ THALI. The thali comes with a 4-5 course meal with 2 Drinks, 4 Starters, 2 Sweets, 3 Roti, 2 Rice options. All the items tasted authentic and wonderful. The staff are really courteous. You can wear Rajasthani Turbans at the end and take a picture if you are up to it.
MorePros- Great service / staff- Cleanliness- Average ambiance- Parking is on the road but not a problem- Nan / Rotis are great- Jaljira is bestCons- Mediocre taste of curries- Use of lowest quality ghee & pickles & jaggery- Should use high quality jaggery for sweets instead of sugar- Jeera rice / Khichdi is tasteless- Over usage of garlicOnly option available is thali which costs approximately Rs 550 (except Tuesday). The food is not worth more than 250-300 maximum.
MoreIts comfy place, though area is small. They serve good Rajasthani veg meal (Thali). Parking of vehicle is an issue in Sahakarnagar and the restaurant does not have vallet parking facility. The staff is polite and warm to interact.
MoreIts a very different experience, and went out for our 24th birthday enjoyed the different type of food... we feeled that we went to Rajasthan very nice.. we all enjoyed too taking photos with Rajasthan Peethas👳🏻♀️..It is a pure vegetarian Rajasthani Restaurant. unlimited optionThe staff is friendly.Look and feel of real rajasthan can be felt with the paintings, available on floor sitting and the turban.😍
MoreThe best Rajasthani thali I’ve ever had ..Soo good especially the kadhi chawal was my favourite…n also the sweet 🤩🤩
MoreIt is a pure vegetarian Rajasthani Restaurant. It is purely of thali with unlimited option. The staff is friendlyAnd the ambience is good too.
More450 per plate...superb meal..fantastic...best so far
A good place for Rajasthani cuisine, we had gone on a weekend and it wasnt that crowded. The thali had many items which I cannot pronounce, the best ones were the khadi, khichdi, and the sweets. The service was fast and the waiters were all helpful.
MoreThe food isnt great. It was too blunt. Rajasthani food is usually spiced up but here it was blunt. They need to pay attention to the ingredients. On positive side ,Sweets were really good, specially ghewar. and Very humble and friendly staff.
MoreJust an average taste restaurant with very basic taste and honestly nothing special about any of the dishes offered here. The waiters are not prompt in keeping a tab of customers requirements even when there is no rush. Had to remind the waiters multiple times to bring the item that I had requested for. Overall experience was just ok. Was better earlier.
MoreCockroach alertPlease do not go or buy food from NH8, there is no hygiene in the the food they deliver. I was surprised by the quality of their kitchen when i got my food delivery. Not one there was 5-6 COCKROACHES (alivecrawling in the package. I generally dont give negative comments on any restaurant. But this time its a matter hygiene and health. Think before you step in such resturant. Above all the manager gave a lame excuses saying " we did pest control and hence there are cockroach"Think about the quality of their kitchen, cockroach are crawling in food package even after they did a pest controlCompletely disappointed and disgusting
MoreNice place to explore and the ambiance is very traditional.. I had visited for Lunch with my 3 other friends and enjoyed the lunch..!! Food was good and the service was great (except the sweet which was not fresh enoughbut the prices are expensive and not worth paying 500+tax for a Thali ....!! Overall food lovers can experience the authentic taste of Rajasthan..!!
MoreVisited this place for dinner and as they had mentioned 550 rupees for a thaali I expected a good quality and variety of food but it did not match either of them. Overall a very bad experience with food and Ambience was not great.Value for money is 0, they give 50 rupees food for 550 rupees which is low in quality as well as no great variety in the food. Especially for the people who have had an actual Rajasthani thaali this is nothing but disappointment for the kinda money they take. But the serving staff were kind and trying to help us with better phulka but overall a very bad meal for the day.
MoreIt was a must go place for.those who love to eat genuine north Indian food. The taste will remind you of Rajasthan and staff is very humble....
MoreAn unlimited rajasthani meal available with few additional dishes varying daily. Look and feel of real rajasthan can be felt with the paintings, available on floor sitting and the turban. Felt the meal overpriced.
MoreVery tasty Rajashthani unlimited thali at much lesser price than Rajdhani... Their Tuesday ₹400 deal is very good.Their starters and coolers, esp Aamras is excellent. The spread is such that, one serving of each and well be full. There were several items which tasted awesome.Service is slightly slow and the place is slightly hot. They have AC but it seems non functional.Otherwise the dining arrangement is simple.Parking for 2W is easy, 4W parking has to be searched for nearby. The place is on 3rd floor so not easy to spot on road but the Google Maps location is perfect.
MoreYummy Rajasthani foodGreat ambianceQuick and fast serviceMoong dhal alwa, Chas and the rotis are too good
MoreIts a very different experience, and went out for our 20th wedding anniversary, enjoyed the different type of food... we feeled that we went to Rajasthan.... very nice.... kids enjoyed too taking photos with Rajasthan Peethas👳🏻♀️
MoreWent here on weekday evening, was less crowded. Go for buffet, tasty Rajasthani food, value for money. Nice and clean ambiance.
MoreHi all basically restaurant is at 3rd floor and quite difficult to identify since no proper sign boards. The person who attended us Mr Ranjith gave us a good hospitality and served all the dishes with utmost happiness. As per me food was not that much tastier it is okay but not worth for what we paid. Served with welcome drinks followed by s snack and kachori, later main dishes were served, the day when we ate the jeera rice 🍚 were too bad but rest are okay...On the table there was a pamphlet saying no use tissue but later they bought the same.Infrastructure and ambience was not up to to expectations. No special parking place for any vehicle nor the vallet parking we need to park on road side common parking area. Rest rooms are available, drinking water was bit hard not the RO filtered no so better to buy your own bottle.Payment modesCard payment, cash and UPI are available.
MoreIndia is rich with its diverse religions, customs, traditions, languages plus history and Y-E-S every state has its own characteristics and so is Rajasthan - known as the land of Kings, sumptuous Palaces or the desert state; it is culturally and traditionally one of the most beautiful states in India. This historical state attracts tourists and vacationers with its exquisite culture, historical convention, heritage, ancient architecture and folklore. Apart from the state’s rich history and royal inheritance, this place has much more to offer and one of them is its ambrosian cuisine. Wherefore, the food served also comes laced with cultural meaning and to tuck the Rajasthani food with gusto NH8 Restaurant is the best. The name of the restaurant NH 8 hailed from the highway which connects with major cities of diversified state of the country and indeed you’ll discover from their served thali that it comprises staple delicacies from each state but mostly includes the Rajasthani food. After having an enjoyable experience in their Indra Nagar branch, this time we drop in on their Sahakara Nagar branch which is settled in the 3rd floor ,no 517 F-Block, Sahakara Nagar Main Rd and believe me, the food here is quite relishing.read the full review at abhinieats.com
MoreVisited this place after seeing 4.3 rating on Zomato. Was surprised to see that there was no customer in the restaurant at 8pm and that to on a Saturday night. Restaurant had a decent setup with wooden chairs n table. If ur a South Indian then u ll not understand some of the names mentioned in their menu. After having so much of expectation, ordered Thali priced at Rs 499/-. Started with jaljeera and boondi chaas, latter was very bland while Jaljeera had a decent taste. Then had Dahi papdi chaat and Dokla as a starter n both of them were okay types. Then misery started with the main course where no item served was good... Had a very bad experience with this restaurant. I m still wondering the credibility of rating given on Zomato. Completely waste of money n time. Would never ever visit this place. I have given 2 star just for the ambience. Would give a big zero for food.
MoreKhamma Ghani 🙏An awesome place to relish on Rajasthani food. The Thali has typical Rajasthani menu along with the starters are delish. You can try thr thali on Tuesdays where it costs 258 Rs, otherwise it costs above 400 Rs on weekends, with addition of few dishes. The ambience gives the feel of Rajasthan with the puppets and turbans lying around a tree located in the dining area. The staff is very warm, welcoming, humble, polite and friendly and they will always make rounds to check if you require anythingThe staff and the food is the highlight of this restaurant.A place worth to visit if you like or want to try Rajasthani food.
MoreThis is a very cute restaurant on Sahakarnagar main road.We got the Thali here which was 465 bucks each. They have offers on weekdays if it isnt a public holiday. The thali was just wonderful. The food was delicious, super tasty. The sabzis were excellent and slightly spicy which made it even better. Rotis were great and soft. Daal baati was tasty. Dhoklas were super soft and fluffy too! Desserts were Rasgulla, Gulaab Jamun and Carrot Halwa. The waiters were extremely sweet and were just running around to make sure you get anything as quickly as possible. There is also a jain option, just mention that when youre ordering
MoreA very authentic place that serves Rajasthani cuisine. The staff were super friendly, the food was very good (not greatand the ambiance was really neat and authentic. The essence of Rajasthan was all-over the place. Had a really nice time with family at NH8. Do try the thali. Cheers!
MoreIf you want a typical Rajasthani experience in Bangalore, NH8 is the place. It has 3 outlets: Sahakar nagar, Whitefield and Indiranagar. We decided to visit the one in Sahakarnagar. As soon as we entered, we felt like we were in Rajasthan, complete with a painting of the iconic Lal Mahal and beautiful mirror work complementing the colours. Coming to the food, the menu changes daily and as it was Holi season they had kept all special holi food. Our welcome drink was thandai and sharbat, which felt refreshing as we were tired due to Bangalore traffic 😝. Coming to chaats, we had moong dal kachori, palak dhokla , aloo thikki chaat and dahi bhalla Chaat and all of them were scrumptious. Then it was the turn of Marwari ke taath baath, we got to taste the Rajasthani bhati, panchmukhi dal and NH8 special churma. Everything was yummy and perfectly cooked. There were 2 kinds of chutneys: imili and dhaniya chutney with roasted papad. In maincourse we had Palak Paneer, Aloo Tamatar Chole Masala, Jodhpuri Gatta Methi Kadi with puchkas , veg fried rice, lachka khichdi and last but not the least we ended our yummy meal with khichdi, Vyanjan, Srikhand, Gujiya and Gulab jamun 😍😍. Among all of this I loved the aloo thikki Chaat, nh8 special churma, veg rice , and puchkas. My mouth waters when I think about it even now 🤤🤤. Service was really good and they were really kind. It was a perfect Rajasthani experience 💛💛
MoreYou get good North Indian food here. I suggest not to order "Dal Batti Churma" here if you dont want to ruin your traditional taste of it. Else good hospitality and they ofter provide complementary stuffs.
MoreSimplicity and authenticity would be apt to describe this place. The interiors are decorated with kites, graffiti of famous places of Rajasthan and art forms, they have outdoor seatings too with colorful decorations. It was indeed a delightful Thali and a wonderful experience. There were two welcome drinks- Chaas (Buttermilkand Jal Jeera. In Farsaan (typical Indian snack basically made from gram flourthere was mini Katori chat and Aloo tikki chat. Both were tangy and delicious at the same time.We would not go deep into every items but Panchamukhi dal and baati served along with Churma was noteworthy. The dal was thick and the baati werent hard to bite. We loved their roti and curries which accompanied along with it. We felt Birbal khichidi was more flavorful than the Navratna pulao.Nevertheless, the dessert- Malai chup was one of the finest we had ever tasted. It was smooth, not too sweet and it just melted in the mouth. It is worth an experience to have with your squad, friends and family.Cheers!! #BurpOutLoudly
MoreWent out to try this place for the authentic rajasthani thali and had a amazing experience. As soon as you entre the place you get a proper rajasthani vibe with beautiful decore and comfortable seating. We went here for a Saturday brunch and the place was packed. Also the service here is really good, the servers are humble and well trained. We started of with their spl raj kachori and we absolutely loved it.I also liked the methi pakodi with green chantni.Moving on to the thali, all I can say is its colourful, beautiful, authentic, tasty and touches your soul!Moving on to desserts we tried their jalebi with rabdi which was just amazing! The rasmalai here was my favorite,I would visit this place again just for that!!So overall it was definitely and different and great experience!!FOOD - 4/5SERVICE - 4/5AMBIENCE - 5/5
MoreLovely ambience! Good food..infact a great spread of dishes, marwari / Rajasthani cuisine , a little too much for a typical South Indian..great place to experience and experiment the appetite..kudos! Team NH8 😊
MoreThis restaurant serves awesome Rajasthani and north Indian food. They quantity they provide, the service they provide and the ambience they provide are just awesome. Definitely try this place if you want to have something different. We had ordered alot of dishes few of them are panipuri chats, paneer tikka starter, apple virgin mojito, dum aloo biriyani, deserts and many more. They cook really good food. Definitely try this place
MoreVisited this authentic north indian place on a weekend evening. First of all, Ambience will certainty take you back in Rajasthan. The huge painting Hawa mahal will certainly give you the feel that you are right next to it.We first ordered with apple mojito and virgin mojito.I know it may sound strange but both of them tasted way too different then regular mojitos and are a must try.Started off with Raj kachori, maharani lacha tokri, paneer tikka and paani puri. Raj kachori and lacha tokri has similar filling inside and taste of dahi along with chutney is perfect. Paneer tikka consist of three different types of marination and I love the garlic paneer tikka more. Pani Puri was fine, I would love to have more spicy Pani Puri water which I found little bit subtle in spiciness. Before moving on to Main course, we ordered daal baati churma, which was super awesome and finger licking delicious. Taste of daal was just perfect, coupled with baati and gatta curry, kadhi and jaggery. It was the highlight of the entire meal.Main course started off with paneer makhni and palak corn along with Chur chur naan and garlic naan. Both the curries were perfect in terms of spices and paneer was tender and soft. I like chur chur naan which has filing of papad as well as loved the super soft garlic naan. After main course, we ended our fiest with desert. Ended up ordering jalebi rabri, ras malai and gulab jamun. Our all time fav jalebi was too crisp, fresh and served hot. It was a perfect combo with equally tasty and yum rabri. Gulab jamun was personally too sweet for me and Ras malai was was fine.I love the service and authentic north indian food they serve. You can also opt for thali option which is available during lunch hours.Service was quick and staff was cordial.

MoreNH-8 named after the busiest 4 lane highway in the Sub Continent, this restaurant serves some authentic Rajasthani Cuisine.A Welcome change from the monotonous Brewery, Restaurant and Old-School Hotels. The place gives u a typical feel of a high end Dhaba where they welcome with folded hands, give u a turban to wear and show us our table. Hospitality is top notch and that makes your day.The Service- Communication between Servers this s usually through Sign language and this set of people are highly motivated and are ready to go the extra mile in keeping the patrons happy. The Chef here is well versed with what he whips up for us. The Passion and his zeal to be the best pays out with the tasty food he serves. The place is vibrantly done with bright colours, well ventilated and natural light especially being a mood lifter. The place can accommodate around 100-120 pax at full capacity and a separate area is earmarked for more than 10-15 patrons if in a group. The place serves a perfect Rajasthani Thali-so colourful, tasty and filling too.We started with a couple of Welcome Drinks1.Masala Chaach2.Plain JaljeeraThe menu in your Thali-Farsaan (Nibble Starters)1.Onion Pakoda2.Dal Kachori3.Aloo Tikki Chaat4.NH8 Sp Pani PuriMarwari ke Taath Baath1.Rajasthani Bati2.Punchmukhi Dal3.NH8 Spcl Churma with GheeThe MainCourse1.Phulka Roti2.Bajra Rotla/Ghee/Gud3.Methi Puri4.Mutter Paneer5.Aloo Palak6.Deshi Chana Masala7.Jalpuri Gatta8.Rajasthani Kadi9. MoreNh8 is a pure vegetarian place which serves Rajasthani food. The restaurant is located on the busy street of sahakaranagar, you can easily spot it along with Leon’s grilll and some other eatery on the same building. As soon as you enter the premise, the ambience have a very traditional look and very colourful. Love the surroundings and their seatings setup which have both the traditional way of sitting down and they even have an outdoor sitting area.Firstly, my husband and I ordered for beverages and we got Lassi and Mint soda which was refreshing. The waiter suggested that we should try the famous Delhi waali papdi chaat: made from a mixture of papdi, curd, chopped potatoes, onions, chutney and garnished with coriander, grated beetroot & sev and it was delicious 🤤. Then we move on to Paneer tikka(3 types of platters), the paneer was soft and tasty. The pani puri(an old affairwas okay .My top favourite and highly recommend you all to try Rajasthani Dal Bati Churma(2 Bati, 2 masala bati, churma, Dal, kadi, Gatta, tipper, Ladin ki chutney). The staff will come and he made it for you the mixing and teach how to eat it just in case you are not familiar with Rajasthani food. This was so so deliciously amazing. The Paneer Rajwadi Masala( paneer, cashewnuts, Rajwadi style-medium spicywith chur chur naan was scrumptious and the paneer was delectable. We tried the Malai Gehva in desserts, I like the fact that it’s not overly sweet since i don’t prefer too sweet dessert. The staff are friendly and courteous, they have good knowledge about the food and what to suggest also.I’m definitely gonna come back when I crave for Rajasthani food!
MoreThe food wasnt too great. We ordered Tandoori Babycorn which wasnt delicious, we ordered Panchmukhi Dal which had very little dal in it (too liquidy). Tandoori Rotis, Bajra Rotis with ghee and jaggery was good. Ambience and cleanliness of hotel is quite good
MoreIts been a long wait for a Rajasthani restaurant for Sahakara Nagar people. The wait is over.NH8 is a fully Rajasthani style restaurant. reminds me of my Rajasthan trip.Ambience is colourful fully painted with Rajasthani style paintings. Seating is not comfortable at all. They are just wooden benches no cushion chairs. There is a option for people to sit down and have food on slight high raised tables. But this is really uncomfortable to sit here and have food. So avoid this section.Coming to service, they have a gadget placed on each table gadget is kind of bell to call the service staff for food ordering, bill ordering ... etc.Coming to the food part.Awesome Lunch thali, they have lot of offers for lunch for all age group. check their page.Lunch is awesome, be it rotis, curries or starters all are mouth watering.I need to specially mention here about the service of in house Captain Vishal Sharma, he is very courtesies while serving elders or kids. really appreciable he took care of every guest in house with at most dignity. hattsoff to Captain Vishal Sharma. Every Restaurants should have people like Vishal Sharma. He is too good in his work.Definitely a must visit place if you like Rajasthani food a lot.
MoreAmbience is excellent. Staff are courteous. There is a wide range of dishes in menu. Of course, some dishes are better than the others. Taste needs to be improved on some dishes because they are bland. Others are amazing. Since these are initial days, Im sure they will improve.
MoreNice setup inside. Decked up really well. You can choose to sit on chair/table or on the floor with a small table and mat. The hospitality is very good. They serve food in copper vessels. Staff there is very helpful and courteous. This restaurant offers pure veg food. The taste is very good. Loved the panner tikka and panner curry. Tomato shorba is just awesome. Must try dish for me. Restrooms are neat and hygiene. Parking is on the road.
MoreI had huge expectations from this place especially since I had been to their Indira Nagar outlet and also because that outlet is my wifes favourite joint for dinner. I wouldnt say I was disappointed but it was close. The food was strictly average (for someone who is from Rajasthan and is really fond of Rajasthani foodand the service was slow. To be fair, the Dal Bati is above average and sweet ladoo (which they give instead of real choorma is actually good. The good food list ends there though! The attitude wasnt proper for someone serving buffet (they were asking whether to bring xyz or abc every single time - why not both?). The prices, though, are very reasonable and the decor tasteful.
MoreI am personally not a fan of Rajasthani cuisine. Therefore, I did not like any of the dishes served here. The interiors are great and most of the items on the thali are everyday dishes served at homes so I think there is vast scope for improving the taste of the food at a restaurant level.
