NH Collection Madrid Paseo del Prado in Carabanchel

Our room was on the first floor. The sound of bin trucks all night was bad. Hotel is great otherwise.

The hotel is just across Museo del Prado in a perfect location, very pretty and quiet. I love how the personnel goes the extra mile to make you feel special. The breakfast was the best hotel-breakfast we had in our Spain trip. Were ready to come back!

All of the NH collection hotels are nice; this one is easier to get to than the others and has plenty of restaurants nearby - and even a Starbucks outside the front door :)

We stayed at an NH collection hotel in Barcelona that was rated 3.5 stars and it topped this hotel in literally every way. We had the equivalent room in Barcelona; it was larger, more nicely appointed with a full soaking tub, and the bed was more comfortable. This room is tiny, outdated (green marble everywhere 🤮), and noisy. Bring ear plugs for the street noise! No pool or spa like our other hotel; heck there’s not even an iron in the room and that is standard in most 2-star hotels! There’s also a limit on what you can set the air conditioning temperature to, which is warmer than what we normally sleep in.We asked that our room not be made up, but it was done anyway which upset us. We had left things out that we didn’t want touched and don’t believe in needing towels changed on a daily basis. They even have a sign in the room about being “green”, yet they took towels we hadn’t used yet.The breakfast is good but not as nice as the previous NH 3.5 star, and the staff here aren’t nearly as friendly. If having dry warm champagne shoved in your face when you arrive and needing to pay a bellhop €5 to put your baggage in an elevator after you’ve just trucked it 20 minutes from the train station makes this 5 star, I guess so be it. We are not impressed. Three stars for the still good breakfast and location; everything else can be vastly improved on.**After leaving review we returned to our room for the day to a horrible stench. It appears to be coming from the pipes that drain the shower. Smells like someone used it as a toilet. The whole bathroom stinks. Interesting timing.

We spent 6 nights there, this was the fourth hotel we stayed in during our recent vacation to Spain.The hotel was magnificent. It’s located 5 minutes from the Prado Museum and the Thyssen Museum. The room was one of the largest we had during our Spain trip. The bathroom contained a large shower and bidet.On arrival I stopped at the concierge and requested extra linens and toiletries. Everyday our room was perfectly prepared and the accommodation I requested provided.The breakfast was extensive and when I mentioned to Mayte that I like Pan de Santiago they ordered it and had it sent to my room. They provided unlimited bottle water and unlimited ice. The hotel was perfect because of its location, the excellent bed linens, robes and slippers. Most of all the hotel was excellent because of the service provided.I will definitely stay at this hotel.Thank you Mayte, and the rest of the staff for making our stay so enjoyable!

The room was a little small. Breakfast is one of is one of the best Ive had. Amazing staff. Perfect location.

Beautiful hotel and location. Staff were extremely kind polite, and very knowledgeable. Our very room had a comfortable bed - nice linen - The room stewards were lovely , cheerful and friendly and very hardworking. Breakfast was included and the quality of the breakfast was very good. I will consider this hotel on future visits.

I booked a superior room and received a very standard room. It looked like the space was previously a closet and someone decided to transform it into a hotel room. Our window was tiny and overlooking a wall (yes, a wall). Breakfast was just so plain and it costs 25 euro pp/day (better grab breakfast outside). We did not receive slippers in the room, and the floors were constantly cold, especially in the bathroom. Overall, I would have expected more from a 5 star hotel. Probably the best thing about this hotel is its location, steps away from Prado Museum, a few minutes walking distance to the main city attractions, restaurants and bars, as well as the airport shuttle. The staff was very kind, professional and always smiley, something of a rarity nowadays. I think the management, the quality of rooms and the facilities can be improved.

Fantastic location near The Prado and several other major museums. The beautiful Neptune fountain is also right outside the front door. Walking distance to many of the wonderful neighborhoods. Staff was great, breakfast even better. The rooms were on the small side, all somewhat angular which was all fine. My only complaint was the comfort of the bed. Not sure if it was too soft or too hard but it hurt my hips and I had to sleep on my back only so as not to ache.

Very nice hotel! Fairly close to most attractions or at least a reasonable walk. The staff are very friendly. Beautiful view from their panoramic rooftop. My favorite part was the large bathroom and footwash!
