Contemporary monument commemorating Kosovo's declaration of independence from Serbia.
Good for the history but the monument itself is pretty normal, you have a lot of cafes and restaurants around in case you want to visit
Awesome place. And Good Art Of The Text
Not much to see in here. Might be the place were Rambo was killed!
Nothing much about it. But its in the city center and can be seen if you are travelling by Publix transport.
A nice symbol of the city with an uplifting message.
Old but Gold!
Nice experience
Nice spot but nothing special. Though some nice art on it.
I enjoyed this "monument". Its very unique and special for Kosovo. The importance of it joined with the artistic aspect of the monument makes it a "must see" in Pristina. Its also very central too.
As a landmark of the city it’d be silly not to pass by, but situated where it is and on a busy road means there isn’t a great deal else to do in the immediate area. However this does also mean (certainly every time I passed anywaythat it isn’t swamped with tourists continually and people taking photos. There’s not any signage explaining the significance which I spotted but with the ever changing design it’s something worth revisiting each time you’re in the city.
A nice historical place to visit in Kosovo, you can connect many other attractions near to this as it’s in centre and the same time you can see many nice historical sculptures as well as the library, Museums, old mosques 🕌 and in case of being tired you have many options to eat in Restaurants or cafes to drink something as there are many options which you can choose.
Great monument to Kosovo being the newest European country.
Not a lot to see/do. The memorial for the heroines is more worthy than the Newborn monument itself
Just nice.
Newborn sign texture change every year. Nice idea & installation that worth to visit each time then you are in Pristina.
Symbol of the free and independent Republic of Kosovo.
Basically THE momument in Pristina.
A symbol of independence mostly made by young people. Scars of war last long time-
Simple but meaningful, the only RKSs independence symbol.
A monument which symbolizes Kosovo’s independence. Every year a new artist paints it into new style
Its a nice stop on the way to take a picture, nothing really around it or to see in that spot beside it
Its the city symbol, to me was nothing special.
Nothing much..u can just drive thru for a view. Never go here during peak hours!!
It’s mostly symbolic than an attraction though it serves so for tourists.1very much accessible and easy to find near the city center.2the color theme is changed periodically3not worth altering one’s route to visit it, but it’s nice to stop by.
Any time you fine my in this place ,Center of Pristina 🇽🇰 From 19:00 to 06:00 a Clock 🕟Auto Taxi " Ⓜ️ULI "
Such unique monument to Kosovos independence from Serbia in 2008 a lot bigger than I thought it was
The surroundings is maybe not the best, but the place itself is a place where one needs to come when visiting Pristina.
It is a meaningful simbol of the creation of a new state but of a people with long history and ancient roots. Nice little square in the center of Prishtina.
cool place for a holiday photoClose to shopping and cafes
It is an interesting monument not because of its beauty, but because of what it represents. Kosovo is a new country, born in 2008.
Mandatory to visit, a famous landmark of Priština. Not incredibly impressive, however.
A very nice, quiet place with a lot of history.
The monument, at this time, has a fence in front of something under construction.Nothing that a mirror photo on the back does not solve.
Cool sign, the tourist thing to see when in pristina.obvious historical significance of whne Kosovo declared itself a country
Important to the city and some really beautiful designs spread across the letters. Shops and restaurants nearby as well if you fancy a coffee or a beer.
This area was located in the middle of lots of restaurants and stores. Its pretty crowded in the evening time.
Easy to find while in Prishtina and frequently place. Good restaurants and bars around. Recommended!
I really appreciate the meaning of it. And also its one of the few not old sightseeing spots in this city.
I really wanted to see this, so I was very pleased to get theyre. Its easy to find, right beside a bunch of restaurants (youll get better prices elsewhere thoughand it has an intention! This year the paint is focused on natural environment:N - Natural environmentE - EnergyW - WaterB - BiodiversityO - Oxygen and airR - Reducing and RecyclingN - Nature (aha! See? Full circle!)
Not much on its own but worth visiting to look at the Palace of Youth and Sport on the plaza behind.
The center of the greater Prishtina city. It os a great focal point to use for meet ups or just to enjoy one of the many caffe or eateries
The NEWBORN monument symbolizes the “new Kosovo”. When Kosovo celebrated their fifth year of independence, the seven letters were painted into the colors of all the flags of the countries that recognizes Kosovo. Since then, every year, the statue changes in other colors.
I understand and respect the important symbolism of the monument, but artistically it was nothing too spectacular. Difficult to get a picture due to the proximity to the busy road.
Well if youre in Prishtina, many would consider this a must see. In reality its a fairly average symbol, but of something with great significance to the local population. Their fight for independence, the birth of their nation. Kosovo itself is far cleaner and more modern than I had imagined, with a lovely chilled vibe. Worth a visit.
its more beautiful plac in the world
I was told that the monument is changed every year, but I’m not sure if the graffiti is intencional or not... even though it is historic, it is not that big of a thing
The iconic monument for the new Kosovo state. The lication in front of a slightly run down shopping centre is a bit underwheling but the monument itself is great, and a definite step forward from sinilar monuments in other cities that are just the place name. Each year the design is redone and they tend to be provocative and thought-provoking. Very cool.
Average symbol for tourists but means a lot to the people. We were there after 10th anniversary so it has been changed now to NEW10RN
Nice symbol of new establishment of the Kosovo country which is “now” celebrating 10th year anniversary. There should be more care from city to remove graffiti.
Just an outdoor ambience downtown in Prishtina.
