The culture of the old West & the modern day equivalent is examined at this museum of cowboys.
Very very nice museum. Highly recommend
A very intresting place. Many artifacts and lots of pictures and storys.Must spend better part of a day to fully enjoy.
This was a pretty good museum, however, was alot of space spent on ND rodeos and personalities.... and cowboy hall of fame was for ND cowboys only, even though, there were a large number of others that were here before ND was. The dollars for admission are well spent, as this is a very high class museum
Very interesting and informative. I didnt know PBR was something other than beer. Much to learn of the area and rodeo. Worth going!
Theres a lot of excellent history, well worth the visit.
Amazing history. Go and learn about it. I found a cowboy of yesteryear with same last name. Will check relationship to me.
Was a really cool hall of fame and the exhibits are so informative. Two videos need to watch. Great stop.
Very informative, great history on display
Was interesting place..gift shops are expensive as usual
This place was awesome, had a nice short film on cowboys and the displays and art were unbelievable. learned alot about the indians and cowboys of the era
A great place to go while in town seeing the park.
This place is super cool. Western history, and if youre a rodeo fan, this is the place for you.
Took us by surprise, great place yo visit. Gave a great ovrrview and besutiful presentation on growth of ND. Would highlry recommend it.
Learned a great deal about cowboy and ranching life. Dont have this in our part of the country
One of the nicest cultural history sites around. Ranching, rodeo, agriculture, Native history all preserved in context.Displays are constantly being updated, so if youve been here in the past, there will be new things to appreciate.Interesting. The staff is wonderful.Absolutely worth your visit.
Great history was amazed but all the information they had from years past to today’s time frame if you ever visit Medora you must visit
A great little museum, and one of the better things to do and see in Medora. The museum does have an entry fee, but the information and displays inside are worth the cost if you enjoy cowboy and western history. They have a good selection of beautiful cowboy and Native American pieces with excellent information on each, as well as a great authentic rifle display. The museum part is downstairs, and the HOF is upstairs. The staff is very friendly, and there is a little gift shop in the lobby. They also have nice bathrooms as well as water fountains, although they dont allow water bottles inside the exhibits. Give the museum a shot!
It was lovely. The lady let us in this morning and was very nice and patient and we had a good time.
This place was really cool the let us bring in our dog and the lady was super sweet working the desk
Excellent museum, interesting regional history and deep dive into rodeo and horse culture. Nice meeting room upstairs with some more sculptures.
Great place. Small but packed with fantastic information. Really enjoyed it. Well worth the small entry fee.
Very awesome museum we loved the native american exibites and the cool displays offered of past life of the cowboy!
Fabulous, very informative loved it! Probably more enjoyable because my friends brothers have been inducted!
Enjoyed it very much. This is history and it is important to learn for the future. Cowboys 🤠
Great museum, excellent 15 min videos and wonderful western art.
Such a fun tribute to the Badland areas, Native Americans and of course COWBOYS!!And the sculptures of cowboys and Native Americans were fantastically done!!
Very different museum in Medora that highlights the history of cowboys in that part of the state
Enjoyed the museum. Very interesting and informative regarding North Dakota history and culture.
Everything you ever wanted to know about the cowboys in ND. The saddles were stunning and ornately done.
Very well put together. Interesting memorabilia.
We love this museum! It has some the best Native American exhibits. And learning about the Rodeo was a lot of fun too.
Learned some things. Interesting place. Has a little bit for kids, but mostly middle school and up in my opinion. Would love it if they had something more interactive like bull riding simulation or roping practice bull.
Excellent museum that pays tribute to the early leaders of the early North Dakota ranching industry. There is also an excellent display of artifacts that speaks to the 1st Nations (Siouxpresence in this region. A must see!
Well worth the time even if your not the cowboy/rodeo type. Information from prehistoric time, Native American history with horses, ranching and farming history to the rich history of rodeo in North Dakota.
Loved it there. So much history. If you like Rodeo, you must see this place. Some nice native American history too!
Very nice building and displays. Perhaps smaller than you would expect from the outside, but certainly worth a stop if in the area.
This place is rich with North Dakota Indian cowboy and cowboy tradition. The world needs more respectful people like them.
A must see if you have more than one day in Medora.
I was in Medora as I toured Theodore Roosevelt National Park and stayed in Medora while there. The ND Cowboy Hall of Fame is on the edge of town near the Sout entrance to the park.It is a small museum, only 2 floors. Upon entering it seems like a place out of time and, in reality there are parts of it or some of the exhibits that are outdated. But looking beyond this, the ND Cowboy Hall of Fame is a jewel of Western culture and times. It is filled with items from rodeos and its stars, with western gear and how it was used, e.g. Pony Express mailbag, and artifacts from the early settlers to the Plains or ND.There is a small gift shop and also an outside patio that might be a neat place to have a snack and rest awhile while taking in the views and history.Definitely worth a few hours of a day in Medora!
Neat place. My family enjoyed it.
Have always been a cowboy at heart. Had a horse farm in Kentucky. Always wanted to see the cowboy hall of fame and Teddy Roosevelt National Park. Makes a perfect vacation to visit Medora to do both.
Incredible history of the original men and women who, against all odds made North Dakota world famous for rodeo, and hard work paying off; making the state and country great!
Not many artifacts. Lots of reading plaques. I think it should be combined with a history of Medora and the state of North Dakota. Cowboys might be part of your history but to most are not that interesting unless your into that sort of thing. Very nice lady at the front desk.
Great museum. Fair and accurate Native American exhibits. Lots a pro rodeo history. Authentic and accurate firearms exhibits.
This was a great place to learn the history of the American people. What hardships people endured, the hard work they did to save the American West. The cowboy history is very informative.
The ladies at the front desk were awesome! Greeted us instantly and told us everything that the museum had to offer. The movie had already started so she came and got us so we could watch the whole movie. Lots of stuff to see. We learned a lot. My kids really enjoyed it.
The Cowboy Hall of Fame is an affordable and noteworthy place to visit in Medora. The great cowboy legends of North Dakota are all honored, including the legendary North Dakota Six pack. The hall of fame not only honors the cowboys of the plaina but also goes into detail about the history of horses on the plains and pays special tribute to the Native Americans who first used the horse in the state and who died protecting their land and were forced to move onto reservations.Definitely would recommend a visit at least once if you are in Medora.
Dont think that this North Dakota Cowboy Hall of Fame is just for cowboys. As someone who has only ridden a horse once (and poorly at that), I found this museum fascinating. It is a history museum more than a hall of fame, and anyone with an interest in the culture, history, and traditions of North Dakota would be well served by a visit. I also appreciated the portions about Native Americans.
This place is right at the beginning of the Northern Bad Lands... T.Rosevelt State Park. Real nice. Real nice lady.
A nice museum to visit if you enjoy the history of cowboys and if you dont its still enjoyable. Price of admission is good. Friendly staff. Two floors of various items with elevator access.
