Ordered the 168++ course menu, food was mediocre

The worst Japanese food I ever tasted. I ordered grilled Kagoshima pork but it looks like boiled pork and the custard egg with foie gras and fish roe is so fishy, doesn’t seem like a good combination.The I.D cocktail I had is also one of the worst. The green syrup is smeared outside the glass and stained my fingers as it melted. Service is excellent though but not the food.

I had try this restaurant during my stay in the Shangri-la. I love japanese food and this one is very good, but the stars is mostly due for the service, especially Eunice that made my day for my last week in the hotel.From that italian guy of the room 661

Came back twice. First time, wasnt impressed one bit. Tried the sakura snapper omakase, and was dying with too much fish towards the end. Good fish, no doubt, just a very gelat experience. The space too, if you werent aware, youd not have understood why they were housed where they were, without changes in the furniture. Definitely left me puzzled.Second time though, we had a special treat and ordered off menu. Chef simply made what was good for the day, and thats when I understood what omakase truly meant.Chef is supposedly from Dallas, and hes really good with his proteins. The beef he served was amazing. The otoro handroll was beautiful. The uni avocado taco, which has western influence, was an extreme bomb.As the underdog restaurant being moved around Shangri-La, this space that theyre at on 3rd floor of Valley Wing, is definitely not ideal. But if you went behind the story and understood what the team had to go through, this is actually quite a remarkable spot that Id come back a 3rd time for - but for their chefs special omakase (dont ask for the price, just serve).

They are now relocated at the State room, spacious but really not much of a view.We had an enjoyable Omakase meal with warm service from the team (esp Krystal, very attentive and thoughtful). However, I would be more pleased to see some meat items amongst the all fish/seafood lineup.Interesting items were: fish jelly (with gold flakes), okinawa sea grapes and firefly squid.Will revisit when they move back to their original premise on higher floor (hopefully soon)!

One of the top japanese restaurants in Singapore. Quite pricey but nice to try if you have the money.

Would not recommend coming here at all. Everything from the service to the food to the authenticity did not justify the hefty price tag. Service was very slow even though business was slow. Definitely do not order ala carte. No effort was made to ensure that the dishes arrived for everyone at the same time, which would be okay at a more casual restaurant but not at a fine dining restaurant with these prices. The chef just shrugged when we commented about it. The chef kept forgetting our allergy requirement. One of our group had finished their main course by the time someone elses sushi bowl came (the sushi bowl took 60 seconds to assemble - we know because we saw the chef do it). The sushi bowl was advertised as being fatty tuna, sweet prawn, uni and Ikura. It turned out to be minced tuna (we would not have paid $95 for minced tuna), and the prawn was minced too. The menu was misleading, the portion was miserly, the rice wasnt well done and frankly it looked like something we could have gotten from isetan supermarket. The beef course and Sushi omakase were pretty underwhelming (and smallcompared to other places we have tried. They tried to serve us wine that had been open for 3 days and forgot to give us soy sauce. Service was a hot mess tbh. Definitely felt rather ripped off at the end of the night.

I asked Chef to arrange like ”omakase”. The taste and arrangement was great! Had enjoyable time. Will come again

Great Japanese food with a wonderful view

They no longer have Japanese chef or Japanese service staff.They try to serve in Japanese style, but it became strange for us unfortunately. No more authentic Japanese restaurant in terms of both dishes and service quality. Also disappointed that we could not get drinks what we wanted as they do not have knowledge. Price is the first class, but we have lots of much better alternatives in Singapore if we pay the same amount.シェフはシンガポール人らしいが、料理はちょっとローカライズされているし、アジア系ではない外国人によるとても違和感のあるサービスで、一流ホテル内というロケーションにもかかわらず、なんちゃって和食屋さん。とても残念なお店になってしまった。値段だけは一流だったが、同じ値段を出すならもっとまともな店がいくらでもある。

good coffee, good food and excellent service!

Had dinner here while staying at the hotel. Dinner menu has a solid selection but limited in variety. Sashimi is fresh and can do half order. The wagyu beef over rice was good. Expensive compared to other Michelin star restaurants but convenient if staying at the hotel.

Beautiful restaurant with a great view and airy feel. The service staff is very attentive and accommodating to our requests.Food is good in general, although my steak was overcooked (requested for Medium done-ness but it came Medium-welland a bit dry.The udon executive set lunch set was yummy and very good value at $35+++, but the steak set ($50+++did not impress. The Shokado box bento ($70+++was modified to our request for “no shellfish” (but it was wrongly interpreted as “no raw food”so it’s not representative of their usual offering.

Decor felt like a canteen. Food was good but ordinary like what one would get from any of those Japanese restaurant chain, despite the price. Great views were the only redeeming factor. They could have done better with the decor. Really what a waste.

Cosy restaurant atop the Tower Wing of Shangri-La Hotel Singapore. Attentive and polite staff. Quality Japanese food here though was here for a special Nami x Osaka Cocina Nikkei menu.

Excellent Japanese restaurant, ranks up there with the best. The head chef is always front of house at the counter. I recommend the omakase menus, excellent value.

Ran out of edamame, ran out of salmon, ran out of steamed veggies, reused glasses for pouring beer - ooops

Located at the 24th floor of the Shangrila, this Restuarant has a breathtaking view of the Orchard Road area. The service is excellent as well as the selection of Japanese sushi and set menu

Sumptuous set lunch with decent portions at affordable prices soak in a pleasant ambience for nice catch-up with friends over a meal, highly recommended

Nice view overlooking the peaceful end of Orchard. Decent quality of food but cant say Im blown away. Try to get a table away from the kitchen.. too much noise coming through. Service staff not too experience during my visit. Might be isolated case.

I have been to many Omakase restaurant. This one is newly opened for 1 year and located at Shangarila hotel. However, the value for the Omakase menu is way too high compare to many other when comparing the food served and quality. Came with 5 type sashimi, 6 types sushi , rice with Okura and Uni, soup , grilled cod fish , seasonal fruit and appetiser that’s typical other restaurant may serve but serve by piece and not by the whole plate. A bit pricey and the 240++ per pax, you can get a better one in singapore . Service is ok with beautiful view at level 24 of the hotel. Many sake and whiskey to choose from. I would try their ala Carte menu the next time . Good for business and family . However, the counter Chef is not as professional impart to other you would find from other Japanese restaurant

Great food and atmosphere!

Very pleasant ambience, for dining with friends and family and the staff , especially Ava and her colleagues are very attentive to the needs of their diners and they are approachable even when they are busy 👍 I will definitely look forward to dining in Nami, especially at the end of a busy day. Kudos to the chefs and the team 👌

The restaurant sits on the 24th floor of the hotel building which provides a good view of the city, can see Botanic Garden from here.A bit hard to get to as theres no public transportation near by.Food is a bit pricey, but their ingredients are very fresh.
