Very cool fun for family. My kids laughed and learned of paranormal phenomena and had tons of fun in the interactive exhibit surprise. Great little roast trip stop well worth it

A key part of any Mackinaw experience!My wife and I are HUGE fans of Mystery Town. We first started going by random chance. We were driving up to visit Mackinaw Island for the first time and saw a billboard for it.It is so close to everything and has such an amazing atmosphere! We just got back from our 4th trip and were excited that they replaced some of the exhibits with new things! If you go on the tour, we think the tour is best experienced if you buy in to the idea and use your imagination to enjoy yourself! "Believe in the Fun" as they say! The gift shop is also a great place to pick up a souvenir. I prefer getting a shirt or hoodie!Bring your sense of wonder and excitement!

Was such a fun experience! If your into mysteries then definitely stop! Wait between people was 5 minutes so you can watch an introduction video about the location which was actually very fun and informing!

We were impressed with our visit! We had, in our group, a senior citizen, a teenager, and a preteen. We were excited by the exhibits and found a couple of them to be adrenaline rushes! Fun for all ages. Reasonable prices. Great little gift shop. You wont be disappointed. We plan to return!

If you enjoy cryptids, mysteries, or even are just passing through with your family then I highly recommend this attraction. They have a tour that you can take and its all at your own pace, filled with a lot of informative and interactive exhibits. Make sure to count the spiders!

We were on our way home after vacation and we seen this place so we stopped it checked it out the guy at the front was very nice very informative and he set us up with two tickets and give us a discount on one of the items from the gift shop. Would definitely go again. Youre able to go at your own pace no tour no guide needed.

Must stop! This was a really fun place to spend a little time. There was a lot of reading, my preteen was engrossed but Id imagine her 5 years ago would have just wanted to run through.

It was cool, but the intro video ruined the surprise. Be a whole lot cooler if there was more to it. More information about each exhibit has more artifacts. Was super disappointed.

My niece vacationed with us and suggested this as something to do. I didnt think it would be anything special, but... I loved it. I have a 3 and 8 year old and they loved it too. Definitely could be frightening for some kids but we kept it light hearted and they loved it all. Everything was so interesting to learn about and even if you dont believe any of it, my kids imaginations went wild after we were done. We really enjoyed ourselves and the staff was very kind to my very talkative 5 year old. 😊Honestly, the price seems fair to me for mackinaw city.

Best cute little interactive museum I’ve ever been too have been going once or twice a year for two or three years now definitely worth the time and money!!!

We visited Mackinaw for the weekend and let me tell you this is THE coolest place we visited! I love all the odd fun facts and the self guided tour is so so worth it. We had an awesome time and really enjoyed each of the incredibly well put together rooms. It was like being in another world!

This is such a cool and unique experience. It is definitely worth it for the money. I recommend stopping to read all the cool facts they have throughout all the exhibits.

I just recently made my second visit here and it was even better the second time! I love everything about the place. So much to see and enjoy. The gift shop is awesome. I am a huge fan of Cryptids and this place does not disappoint. We had small children in our group the first time and they all had a great time. My only recommendation is to add post cards to the gift shop. Thanks for making such a unique and enjoyable attraction that reminds me of childhood summer vacations.

Probably better for an older (childcrowd. Took an 8 and 2 yr old. We went through relatively quickly as neither children wanted to read the signs. We understand now we shouldve enforced the reading as this is probably where the meat of the experience remains. There were some scary scenes that pushed us through a little quicker, but killed some time in mackinaw city regardless.

My wife and I stopped in on a whim while traveling. Very informative clerk. We paid for the attraction, had a bit of fun, and learned some things even though it is designed for smaller adventurers. We would describe the experience as a bit cheesy for adults and the gift shop was really tacky. Nevertheless, Mystery Town, USA is a good place to take your kids on a pit stop for something unique.

Very cool experience, the spinning tunnel is the first one that has ever disoriented me. Seems kind of short, but has a lot of cool information.

I loved it, I want to bring my daughter here and I plan to keep coming back.

I purchased tickets as an add-on to my ferry pass and mistakenly thought this was on Mackinac Island. I was looking for a time killer and thought this sounded fun. I was surprised to find out it was on the mainland instead, but glad that we were still able to go because it was a neat attraction for someone like me who has always been intrigued by the worlds unsolved mysteries. Perfect for the adventurous youth or young at heart. The only part I didnt really like was the Black Hole- it made me a little claustrophobic but you just had to keep pushing through. Might be an issue for people with sensitivities, but they do have signs posted, so you get fair warning. They had me at secret passageway!

Quite an interesting place. It is a great last stop when touring Mackinaw City. BEWARE the spinning tunnel! My mom had to close her eyes to get through it; it can be very disorienting. Worth a visit for the inquisitive and curious minds.

This was an amazing place to take the family. Staff was very friendly and the store was clean and bright. But the most amazing part was the tour. It was interactive, realistic and tons of fun. Would definitely go back!!

Looking to spend an hour and keep the kids entertained, this did the trick! Wasnt horrible, for 2 adults and 1 child and 1 under 4 which was free was $38.00 .. this is a tourist town, so this was as expected.

This place was so cool. It reminds me of the old “tourist trap” or side show attractions that died off in the late ‘70’s. My family had a great time here.

My siblings and I saw this place on the side of the road and thought "might be fun" and we sure were correct, it was a lot of fun! We also got matching tshirts at the end. The experience and the gift store were both awesome!

Fun for cryptid fans! As an adult who likes cryptids, this was a blast! The exhibits ranged from corny (and funto museum quality. Ticket prices were reasonable and gift shop was huge with a variety of cryptids featured!

So much fun! Staff is very friendly and inviting. One of the most amazing experiences ever!!! They have a super neat gift shop section.

This was overall a cool experience, but its definitely geared towards kids (younger children will probably be scared in certain areas). I agree with other reviews that the admission price is a bit much, especially for how much smaller it is in person. Parts of the walkthrough were a little lackluster and couldve used a little more imagination. I also agree with other reviews that it wasnt as expected or advertised at all. And the gift shop wasnt as great or as reasonably priced as mentioned by others. There are only a handful of items worth purchasing, and the childrens selection kind of sucked. But I dont regret going and would still recommend. My kids had a blast.

We are locals and love this place. We make sure to visit at least once a year and stock up on fun toys for my kids, t-shirts, books and other fun stuff. My daughters favorite thing is the walk-through adventure, of course. Its super fun, well done and has fun facts all throughout! I highly recommend checking it out!

We decided to come here because it was raining, so happy we did. A fun and unique experience for all ages. In our group we had ages 2yrs-64 yrs. Nice gift shop too.

This place was Amazing! I am a true believer myself and have been fascinated with the unexplained and cryptozoology as long as I can remember (Im 36 so thats awhile)! The immersive scenes, detailed props as well as full sensory experience,here, is right on point with attractions I have experienced at Disney. My kids also loved it (11,10 and 6). Nothing was "too scary" or "boring" for them. They took their time experiencing each element and I didnt have to remind them. We easily spent 45 to an hour inside the actual attraction. My husband fully expected this to be cheesy and boring. He shakes his head at me while I watch ancient aliens and rolls his eyes at my bigfoot beliefs. He had an absolute blast. This man was grinning from ear to ear and running back and forth through the experience to do stuff again. I am trying to keep this vague because the element of surprise is part of the fun. Skeptic or true believer, you will want not to miss this spectacular stop. Well worth the $12ish bucks a person. Then there is the store. Super fun as well and not too terribly priced. Some of the things are $$ but my kids each easily found a souvenir under $15.Finally, the guy running the place was so friendly and helpful.Nothing bad to say about this place at all! Its amazing 🤩

Went on a Saturday afternoon with my 10 year old daughter and she loved it. It’s great to see new businesses come to mackinaw city. The intro video did a great job at showing the owners vision.

A relative living in Kentucky told me about Mystery Town USA located in Mackinaw City, Michigan. Since I was intending to ride my motorcycle from Fort Worth, Texas to the Upper Peninsula, I decided to visit the Mystery Town attraction. It was well worth the time! The attraction was a very interesting experience, full of intriguing stories and speculations regarding some of the world’s oldest unsolved mysteries. If you’re anywhere close to the Mackinac Bridge, stop in. The proprietors are great folks and treat people like family!

Absolutely loved it. We were looking for something to do and found the best tourist stop since I was a kid. Absolutely worth the stop!! My 6yo can not wait to go back!!

Our MUST STOP every up north trip!!This place is amazing! The staff is so kind, the themes are great, great shopping selection right in the heart of town! If you are ever thinking about going, GO!!!

Fun place to stop kids and adults both enjoyed the exhibits! My one complaint would be that the pre video they have you watch showed all the exhibits so it really took away the fun of being surprised! Gift shop was neat too got a new road trip buddy there!

Pretty expensive admission for what little entertainment it is. Its very cheesy. It definitely wasnt what the website advertising makes it out to be. My 4 year old nephew was terrified. There were zero warnings about flashing lights and scary images. If you have balance issues or claustrophobia, dont go! We wouldnt recommend it to anyone.

This place is a must if you stop in Mackinaw! Such a fun place for the whole family. We go back everytime we are in town. Love the gift shop too!

So much better than I thought it would be!!I saw it while we were driving and was expecting some hokey attraction walk through but came to find an immersive walk through experience.They did a wonderful job and I felt like I was walking through another world!Wonderful staff and amazing exhibits.Definitely not your everyday museum experience. I HAVE to come back one day and Ill be recommending this place to everyone I know.

Absolute must go. Period. It was such a cool experience with lots of care and effort put into each section. The sounds of the different cryptids were super cool as well! Overall experience was really fun. I went with my girlfriend who loves this stuff and I was expecting not to enjoy it nearly as much but I really did!

Awesome… a must see. The owner is nice, seemed to care a lot about giving the best experience to each person. He even gave my daughter a dollar because the Crain machine wasn’t accepting quarters. The self guided tour was outstanding, lots of details involved. All my pictures turned out amazing. My daughter loves mythical creatures, so this was perfect.the one thing I would recommend is to not go through the black hole at the end. Yuck. Very hard to push through and took too long getting out. Just use the exit door. Otherwise it was great. We debated going a second time in a roll. The bridge part was so fun. Must see!

Awesome little roadside attraction! Drove passed it on our way to mackinaw city (from mackinaw mill campgroundand we were instantly intrigued! Fun for all ages. Going in depth about the conspiracies of mermaids, Loch Ness monster, big foot, black holes, Area 51, king Tut, etc. Awesome little gift shop in there too! I’d recommend anyone driving by (or in the areato stop by. Great way to cool down on a hot summer day or just a fun little adventure for the day. Plus the owners a really nice guy, from what I noticed.

Pretty cool. Kind of like an unhaunted house that takes you through some of the world’s greatest mysteries. Fun for the family. The classic black hole spinning that makes you ran the rail and try not to fall over. A little under the sea with a touch of ancient Egypt. Overall a solid stop. The gift shop had some pretty cool shirt designs and unique gifts for fans of Bigfoot, aliens, and everything cool. A nice fun stop before heading back to the cabin and enjoy a little wilderness and time away. Most of these places are a little underwhelming but this place surprised me. For for the whole family. Although if you don’t like giant spiders, well...

Ive been to a lot of tourist traps across the country and this is one of my favorites. Its "New" compared to a lot of places Ive been. They tell the story and explore the mystery behind many things such as Big Foot, the Loch Ness Monster, Bermuda Triangle, and Area 51. The gift shop has a lot of unique items and great novelties for the kids. Its easy to find. Would come again.
