You need around 2 hrs to visit it. One of the must visit places while you are in Mysore.

Itβs a decent palace !! The area is quite beautiful but the palace on the inside looks pretty old now ! The lights here are beautiful which is worth watching !!!Also this place definitely needs to be wheelchair accessible !Although there are very less stairs there a lot of old people struggling to climb themThe ticket cost is 100 per adult. No additional charges for photography. Also there is a battery operated car which charges 50 rupees and takes you around the palace campus!
I visited the place twice with family (wife and two young kids). The first visit was in the evening, on arriving in Mysore from Bangalore our driver brought us here to show us the palace, it was completely lit up and looked beautiful from outside. Once inside, we were in the palace grounds and it was a crowd consisting of mostly families. The lights were out soon after at the appointed time which I think is 8 pm, so we were lucky to have come at about the right time to see the spectacle. On the following afternoon, we went inside the palace, basically its been converted into a museum. The whole affair this time around was also very nice. The Palace is very well preserved, maintained and clean, and definitely deserves a visit.
If you are interested at ancient architecture and the history, you enjoy visiting the palace. Consider opting guide service to know more about the palace. They explain well about everything about the palace. You can even enjoy the light show during night on Sundays and public holidays

One of the most beautiful places Ive seen. Theres so much detail to the outside and inside of this architectural wonder. However, I think certain sections were closed off as my visit here only lasted approximately 30-40 minutes. Nevertheless, Mysore Palace is a must-see location!
One of the most beautiful architectures in India as well as the world. One must visit if you are traveling to the Southern part of India. The combination of European and Indian architecture is just a piece of art. Wooden carvings and other vintage items exhibit the richness of the Emperor. You can visit the shops present outside the palace to buy souvenirs. Its a classic case where the government should focus to make it further popular in International destination.
Great place. Ticket price 100 adult. Bag not allowed inside. leave your luggage at car. Walk from parking area. Dont take auto. Its walking distance. Auto ride cost will be 50rupees not worth π π. Beautiful Palace. You will love the architecture camera extra cost rs.100. Wear Mask π· crowded in weekend. Take water bottle with you. You will definitely enjoy. Time required 2 hrs.
This is the most beautiful famous and important tourist place of Mysore. Well maintained properly decorated and with high security. The main Dom of the building is totally covered by gold. This is crowded on weekends when I visit here. This is more than what you can think of. This is a really amazing place with easily accessible from the bus stand and railway station.
Very well maintained palace but ticket price is on higher side. When maximum such palaces have tickets of around 30-50 rupees in India, it has 100 rupees for adults and 50 for children. Moreover, they will throw you out around 6 pm as they will charge another 100 bucks for evening entry for illuminated palace.
First place in the list if you are planning to visit mysuru. Awesome place and amazing architecture. Worth a visit to the Mysore palace. Unfortunately a lot of areas are cordoned off as many parts of the palace have been damaged by tourists. The history is amazing. It is worth hiring a government guide at the palace who will give you a 45 minute detailed explanation and look into the history of the Mysore palace . The best time to go is at 10:00 in the morning when the crowd has not yet picked up . Weekdays are good if you want to avoid the crowd. Foot wear is not allowed in the palace . There is a place to deposit the footwear. Be armed with change as you will not get your money back if you go without change . It is Rs 2/-per pair . Ample parking is available and there are different gates that you can enter to go to the palace.
Awesome place for visit. In the evening its looks amazing as compared to if you visit in day. No time barrier. You can easily come and enter after 7PM also. You can book online tickets also.
Very happy to visit the palace my second time, this time it was Sunday and the palace was lighten up at 7:00 PM and it was such beautiful view Iβve ever seen in my life. Recommended visit afternoon. Online tickets are available and can get it from official website.
Excellent and well maintained! This is a piece of art! Everything about this palace is regal! Its such a beautiful and architectural marvel! Absolutely loved the tour. The only downside was the queue to keep the shoes. Had that process been smoother, it would have been a great experience
The view of the palace is very beautiful. You can get some good number of beautiful clicks. You can visit the palace inside by paying the minimal ticket fee, but i feel they should open more area to be explored. The night view when the lights are on is magical, but it happens only on Sunday.
Magnificent place with some rules. You still have to wear your masks. You will have to take of your shoes before entering and local guides are not available to guide. Otherwise huge parking space for your car. Snack bar is available if you feel hungry or dehydrated. It will take 2 hours to visit it properly.
One of the best kept palaces in south India. A must visit if you are in Mysore. Ensure to hire a guide. Prefer to visit on a Monday. Weekends and holidays are heavily crowded. The collections, paintings are fantastic. The big eye sore to me was : while recently painting the walls, splashes of paint has been spilled on many of the priceless painting. I felt terribly upset seeing theseThe Majestic structure is extremely spacious and well designed, appropriate of the abode of the Royals. Avoid going there on long weekends when there is a mad rush to enter and go round the palace. A bit of crowd control is really required.
Excellent historic space. The palace premise is a great place to roam, photogenic area.Good collections of kings stuff and photo gallery. All is very informative. One can spend easily 2-3 hours here. Adult entry 100 Rs. Children 50 Rs. Still camera can be taken inside free. Note that flash photos are not allowed. Close timing 6 PM
One of the most beautiful experiences in Mysore. Maybe you were shocked at the time of inside the palace because of its archaeological and historical beauty. If you can visit in the afternoon, you should enjoy a night view of the palace. The light show starts at 7 pm.
Palaces are always a place of wonder. You get to learn a lot about the history of a place from the palace. Who ruled the place, where they lived, how they dressed, a lot of things can be known from visiting a palace. In an architectural perspective, Mysore palace is just beautiful. Its such a photogenic place, so well designed. Love visiting the palace. Its always a wonder. The whole place surrounding the palace is also really beautiful and well maintained.
One of the most beautiful palaces I have ever seen. Excellent craftsmanship and the paintings are amazingly perfect. I was astonished by the wall painting done by the artists on those days. Each and everything you see there is perfectly made with the highly skilled craftsmen. I highly recommend visiting the palace if youre travelling to Mysuru.
A wonderful place to visit in Mysuru. The palace is so magnificent. It is well maintained. You are not allowed to use your footwear inside. The architecture, pillars, chandeliers and halls are breathtaking. Also, there is a lot of area around the palace. The courtyard is very huge and you can spend a long time here walking. Horse chariot rides are also available.
This was a repeat visit to palace after a long time. I fortunately it was a long weekend and after festivals so the palace was very crowded. With long queues and people everywhere inside. So the tip is donβt go in weekend and particularly in afternoon. The palace is well maintained and one of the main attractions of Mysuru. Itβs central hall is a place to see with very good artwork. In evening after sunset when lights are on it gives a very magnificent look.
Had been there several times. Historical place. Must go if u want to see the grandeur. Must visit inside the day time. I had visited during day and evening time both. Evening light show is amazing.Must spend some time in the palace front ground overlooking amazing palace.
A magnificent palace visit, very well maintained. There is a free audio guide you can download at the entrance. Id highly recommend it, since it adds to the experience and helps you understand the history of the palace and to connect with it.You can visit inside the palace during the day, while in the evening you can sit outside and enjoy the night light show. Do check out the show timings for the same before visiting.
Best place to spend an entire day with friends and family. Worth the time and money. Get a guide to know every minute details about this place(palace). Very neat and clean. Well maintained. Situated at the heart of the city. No shoes allowed. Visit this place to know the life of the kings and queens who ruled this place. Also walk around to see elephants of this palace in a corner. They tend to dance. And it looks a bit of both fun and aw. Still could remember the panther statue around the palace having sharp teeth made of marble. Try the silk and handcrafts shop outside the palace. Good initiative by the government.

Huge and well maintained palace. You need a minimum of one and a half hours to see it and 2 hours to enjoy it. Lawn is relaxing especially during evening with soothing breeze. Chandeliers are breathtaking. For Indian citizens entry fee is Rs 50.
A must visit if you are in Mysore! The grandeur and the overall experience is indeed fascinating and impressive. The paintings inside are truly amazing! Always crowded. A Govt approved local guide is good to have. Footwear is not allowed inside the palace.
This is one of the top most attraction in Mysore. The palace is very beautiful and the same is well preserved. The staff at the historical monument is very knowledgeable. You cannot wear shoes into the palace for obvious reasons. There is value added services like photography and buggy ride around the palace which is very nice. It is indeed a majestic experience.
We had visited Mysore Palace in the evening. We wanted to see the place in lighting. Lighting will be there on every Sunday from 7pm-8pm.It was really a great feeling to just stand there and watch. There was music arrangement kind of band. It was adding a nice flavour into that amazing experience.
This was a breathtaking experience for me.. The glory and royalty captured my eyes and heart. Each and every structure is mesmerizing and well maintained. While taking the tour many of the things were restricted but I wondered what would be behind the royal doors and yet curious about it. The paintings of the royal family is captivating and will really melt your heart. It is one of the biggest and well maintained palace in India. You can also hire a guide over here. Also there is beautiful temple which really gives positive vibes and your tiredness can go away after an hour tour. There are many gov shops if you want to buy sandalwood products and would recommend to buy it inside the palace as its quite cheaper from the outside market. The palace is well maintained but the hawkers once you ask the price bet youll end up buying the product after bargaining π
Its one of the most beautiful palaces I have visited in India. The architecture, the vibe is phenomenal. Its highly maintained and they wont let you take you shoes inside which I appreciate the most.Youll be mesmerized by the beauty of this place.Do visit once, you wont regret it.
The Mysore palace is no doubt one of the most beautiful palaces in India, probably the most beautiful. It is also largest palace in India and very well maintained. It is pride of Mysore. And when it is lit up during evening 7:50 PM Mon-Saturday for 10 minutes and for 1 hour on Sunday it feels a different world all together.Donβt forget to take guide for the palace tour to enrich your experience with history of the Wodeyar Dynasty(Rulers of erstwhile Mysore Kingdom).
One of the heritage site of India, still maintained very well and subtly getting upgraded without disturbing its historic nuances. This place has got lot thing to see and learn about the Palace and Kings history in relative to their trades and friendship with other kingdoms.1. The entry ticket is 100rs for adults and 50 for children 2. There is a cloak room available for keeping luggage and 40rs is charged for it.3. Before entering the place you need to keep you shoes and slippers in a counter where they charge 2rs/pair.4. Audio guide is available which can be downloaded from play store and number boards will be kept at particular places and can listen accordingly in the app.
No words to express the architecture and the beauty of this palace. I missed the light show but its highly recommended to visit during public holidays and weekends so that you will not miss light show at this place. Each and every turn inside the palace will mesmerize you. No use to explaining it here, so visit this place and experience by yourself.
A beautiful palace. Even the royal family still stays in a part of it. A very well kept palace turned into a museum. Entry was easy. U can carry phone. Need to open shoes at a counter at the entry of palace. Many counters so will not take time. We hired Guide and suggest-if u need detailed stories and history pls hire one. U can get guide after u remove shoes and enter the palace. A very well explained tour we had. It will take around 2 hours to see the complete palace. In nights they lighten up the entire palace with bulbs. It look amazing. Please check when they do it.
It is a place worth watching to anyone. I am glad that we enjoyed, and I got more archaeological and historical since then! It took me out on a voyage of thrones and kingdoms , I just wish everything goes back to monarchy and kingdoms and archery. I loved the whole tour and for beginners like me.Its a palace and its surroundings and exhibition of stuff. There are night lights in the evening and we can check out the rest in the morning;I enjoyed it
The construction and the taste is exquisite in this palace. Government is maintaining ok. But, only the portion of it is open for visitors. It was far better 15 years back when we could see everything. Now, too restricted. Its like a monument watch.. get out in 45 minutes :)
One of the best and beautiful palaces of India. It was built by wodeyar dynasty of Mysore kingdom. You must see the beauty of this place in day time and also at night. Wonderful experience. There is dedicated parking lot for the palace. No entry fee for watching it from the outside surrounding. But you have to buy tickets to enter inside it. There you can see the grand architecture and the museum. A must see place in Mysore. Wear mask and maintain safe distance during this COVID pandemic period. You will not be allowed inside without mask.During December month, there will be flower show and also toy show for tourists. It will be an icing on the cake experience. Go and enjoy....
