What an incredible, well kept, clean, safe and organized place to visit.I want to commend the Karnataka and Mysuru city for not price gouging. Its a fair ₹100 for adults (Indians or foreignersand not price gougers like the state of Tamil Nadu.Once you pay make sure you dont lose your ticket else you wont be able to enter.Shows are not allowed, but the palace offers a ₹2 per pair of shoe service at the entrance, shoes are bagged together (per familyor in my case in a single bag. There are many explanations in English, Kannada and Hindi throughout the speakers, but they play at random. I would encourage to book a tour guide (prices are fixed and available in a placard at the entranceor study and adventure on your own.The place is huge, you will first walk the palace halls, then residence hall with the temples then the main entrance (which is closed). Beautiful gardens all around the park as well.Even though its large, the place will be crowded. Many students also visit the palace. One of the most memorable experiences in India. Kudos to Mysore for preserving it so well.

One of the grandest palaces in India, one of the must visit places in the entire country and the best architecture of the British and South India can be seen here. The interiors are just flawless and has huge rooms and corridors. The Gardens are lush green and well maintained, exteriors are well protected and have grand entrances.Ticket price is 100 rupees which I think makes it completely worth and in the premises you get a food shops where you can buy Indian food and also washroom facilities. There are also many temples around the palace.Weekends are really crowded. You can click the pictures inside there is no restriction and it takes around 1 hour to take entire tour of the great Mysore Palace.Must visit place!! 😀

To be very honest I wanted to give 5 star ratings but its so much congested. Maximum people went there just to click pictures only. As a result, I couldnt even stand in a place just for a second to read the information given.Just a simple suggestion, to prohibit camera inside the palace museum and follow the rules in a very strict way.Other then that its amazing. Specially, the architectural beauty is mesmerizing.

Fantastic spot for a good evening. Do check out the interior as well as the exterior. It is a good spot for historical rememberance. Do not miss out on the night lighting. It is spectacular. You can come by around 6:30 to see the lighting. The actual lighting only starts at 7 but you can catch a good spot half an hour before for some brilliant pictures.

It’s a decent palace !! The area is quite beautiful but the palace on the inside looks pretty old now ! The lights here are beautiful which is worth watching !!!Also this place definitely needs to be wheelchair accessible !Although there are very less stairs there a lot of old people struggling to climb themThe ticket cost is 100 per adult. No additional charges for photography. Also there is a battery operated car which charges 50 rupees and takes you around the palace campus!

I visited the place twice with family (wife and two young kids). The first visit was in the evening, on arriving in Mysore from Bangalore our driver brought us here to show us the palace, it was completely lit up and looked beautiful from outside. Once inside, we were in the palace grounds and it was a crowd consisting of mostly families. The lights were out soon after at the appointed time which I think is 8 pm, so we were lucky to have come at about the right time to see the spectacle. On the following afternoon, we went inside the palace, basically its been converted into a museum. The whole affair this time around was also very nice. The Palace is very well preserved, maintained and clean, and definitely deserves a visit.

One of the most beautiful architectures in India as well as the world. One must visit if you are traveling to the Southern part of India. The combination of European and Indian architecture is just a piece of art. Wooden carvings and other vintage items exhibit the richness of the Emperor. You can visit the shops present outside the palace to buy souvenirs. Its a classic case where the government should focus to make it further popular in International destination.

This is the most beautiful famous and important tourist place of Mysore. Well maintained properly decorated and with high security. The main Dom of the building is totally covered by gold. This is crowded on weekends when I visit here. This is more than what you can think of. This is a really amazing place with easily accessible from the bus stand and railway station.

Very well maintained palace but ticket price is on higher side. When maximum such palaces have tickets of around 30-50 rupees in India, it has 100 rupees for adults and 50 for children. Moreover, they will throw you out around 6 pm as they will charge another 100 bucks for evening entry for illuminated palace.

First place in the list if you are planning to visit mysuru. Awesome place and amazing architecture. Worth a visit to the Mysore palace. Unfortunately a lot of areas are cordoned off as many parts of the palace have been damaged by tourists. The history is amazing. It is worth hiring a government guide at the palace who will give you a 45 minute detailed explanation and look into the history of the Mysore palace . The best time to go is at 10:00 in the morning when the crowd has not yet picked up . Weekdays are good if you want to avoid the crowd. Foot wear is not allowed in the palace . There is a place to deposit the footwear. Be armed with change as you will not get your money back if you go without change . It is Rs 2/-per pair . Ample parking is available and there are different gates that you can enter to go to the palace.

One of the best kept palaces in south India. A must visit if you are in Mysore. Ensure to hire a guide. Prefer to visit on a Monday. Weekends and holidays are heavily crowded. The collections, paintings are fantastic. The big eye sore to me was : while recently painting the walls, splashes of paint has been spilled on many of the priceless painting. I felt terribly upset seeing theseThe Majestic structure is extremely spacious and well designed, appropriate of the abode of the Royals. Avoid going there on long weekends when there is a mad rush to enter and go round the palace. A bit of crowd control is really required.

Best place to spend an entire day with friends and family. Worth the time and money. Get a guide to know every minute details about this place(palace). Very neat and clean. Well maintained. Situated at the heart of the city. No shoes allowed. Visit this place to know the life of the kings and queens who ruled this place. Also walk around to see elephants of this palace in a corner. They tend to dance. And it looks a bit of both fun and aw. Still could remember the panther statue around the palace having sharp teeth made of marble. Try the silk and handcrafts shop outside the palace. Good initiative by the government.

This was a breathtaking experience for me.. The glory and royalty captured my eyes and heart. Each and every structure is mesmerizing and well maintained. While taking the tour many of the things were restricted but I wondered what would be behind the royal doors and yet curious about it. The paintings of the royal family is captivating and will really melt your heart. It is one of the biggest and well maintained palace in India. You can also hire a guide over here. Also there is beautiful temple which really gives positive vibes and your tiredness can go away after an hour tour. There are many gov shops if you want to buy sandalwood products and would recommend to buy it inside the palace as its quite cheaper from the outside market. The palace is well maintained but the hawkers once you ask the price bet youll end up buying the product after bargaining 😁

A beautiful palace. Even the royal family still stays in a part of it. A very well kept palace turned into a museum. Entry was easy. U can carry phone. Need to open shoes at a counter at the entry of palace. Many counters so will not take time. We hired Guide and suggest-if u need detailed stories and history pls hire one. U can get guide after u remove shoes and enter the palace. A very well explained tour we had. It will take around 2 hours to see the complete palace. In nights they lighten up the entire palace with bulbs. It look amazing. Please check when they do it.

The construction and the taste is exquisite in this palace. Government is maintaining ok. But, only the portion of it is open for visitors. It was far better 15 years back when we could see everything. Now, too restricted. Its like a monument watch.. get out in 45 minutes :)
