I tried the southern thali dish.Thali is Indian-style meal made up of a selection of various dishes which are served on a platter.They also serve North Indian dishes and indo-Chinese dishes. The food is just average now a days.Prices are reasonable and accepts Cash and Benefit Pay.Service is standard. Post 2020 the dishes are served in Plastic containers for dine in.Overall an average experience.

We are regulars of the place since childhood. They still serves the best vegetarian Indian food in Bahrain.

Superb vegetarian food, served in decent portions, relatively cheap. Service is pleasant and they always look very welcoming. Dinner for two will be BD4/-. Seating is OK, not plush comfortable though.

Good for breakfast, but not for lunch.their thali was absolutely bad, the food became uneatable after a point because many of the dishes were bitter. the special biriyani we ordered wasnt good at all, it had so much of sand like particles probably because they dont clean the vegetables. Bad experience.

Good dining place for vegetarian south Indian food. Located in downtown Manama neasr the sacred heart church it serves a good spread of South Indian as well as North Indian cuisine. The place had a ground floor and first floor too which means it has good place for groups too. Parking can be a problem at times but with the new parking meters installed the spaces keep cropping up around the restaurant. Good staff and hygienic place too.

Mysore Bhavan has no great interior decorations, but the place is neat, tidy and clean....very hygienically maintained to have a quick, good meal at lower price comparatively to other famous south Indian restaurants . They do not have facilities for celebrating a special event or spend time. It serves a wide range of vegetarian items - only vegetarian items both South and North Indian. The South Indian varieties include the popular snacks like dosa, vada, idli, pongal, uttappam etc. which are also breakfast items. What I liked best is their South Indian thali ( full meal served at lunch time), a large plate with several small bowls containing a good assortment of dishes - sambhar, rasam, poriyal, dal / kootu, vathal kolumbu, pappad, sweet, pickle, rice and chappatis /pooris. The chappatis are served hot and soft.. In fact, all the items are hot when they come to the table and are well prepared. Service is very good. Overall, an excellent restaurant for any one wanting to try out South Indian specials...the only disadvantage is the parking, can not find parking close to the restaurant...If you are fortunate enough you may find parking slot near by.
