Casual neighbourhood restaurant & takeaway with wooden furniture, statues and a classic Thai menu.
Great food, great people, all around great experience!
This place is fantastic. This time we sat in and service was wonderful but if its restaurant or takeaway I highly recommend this place.
If you eat an authentic Thai food in Thailand, My Thai is not a Thai restaurant! I am sorry to write this but it was an absoulete disappointment for me and my family. Ordered torm yarm, papaya salad, sticky rice, kao pad, and some more but none of them even a bit close to Thai food! All rubbish. Do not waste your penny.
Lovely food, lovely staff, nice interior & reasonably priced food & drinksTakeaway is just as good as dine in & nicely presented
First time here. We didnt book(which I would recommend as gets busy)but they fitted 2 of us in. Food was lovely and fast service will definitely be back
authentic Thai food. just excellent! come and try and you will know. The host provides fantastic service as well.Highly recommend!
My partner, father in law and I came in tonight for a celebratory meal. The staff were very warming and welcoming, as neither my partner or I had thai food previousley the waitress came and explained the dishes in more detail, Im not a fan favourite of spicy food and was advised all the dishes could be adapted to suit as they are all cooked fresh. I had the prawn starter and the rainbow salad for main, it was amazing and very fast service, the prawns were divine and huge! We joke in our house that my partner has hollow legs, there was more than enough food in the plate to fill him. All the food we were served looked and tasted brilliant. The staff were very attentive, when our glasses were empty we was offered a re-fill straight away. 5* would definitely visit again, thank you all for the amazing meal and service.
Fantastic restaurant, all the staff are very friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent and very well presented. Had a great time. I will definitely be going back again.
Amazing food and ambience. The customer service was superb.Ill definitely be going back
Very authentic Thai food very tasty. Good service and reasonable price
First visit to this absolute gem. Cozy little restaurant-perfect for those like myself who do not like big crowds. Partner and I had the Bangkok set menu, a variety of different dishes perfect for people like us who are not experts on this cuisine. Everything piping hot and delicious. The ladies are so kind and warm. Only slight downside is the temperature of the restaurant was a little cold, however, is a small negative compared to our enjoyable visit. Will recommend to friends and definitely visit again. π
Very good service.Reasonable price.Lovely atmosphere even though we went early and it was not busy at that time.
Food was beautiful and the staff were friendly we will be back regular
A solid 5. The ribs for starters were probably the best I have had anywhere. Truly superb. The jungle curry was excellent. The ambience is very pleasant, good service and sensible prices.
A mighty nice restaurant with lots of interesting dishes and helpful staff who can explain them all. I had a number 57 ( stir fry beef with ginger. It was gorgeous. Nice ambiance with sparkling lighting. Reasonable prices. Would definitely come again.
Become a new local favourite that serves halal food. The owner is really lovely and has excellent customer service, will always endeavour to help you.
The food was amazing, the service was amazing, the atmosphere was amazing. Could not fault this place one bit and we will definitely be going back.(100% recommended the seafood tom kha soupπ, it was the most delicious thai dish I have ever tried)
Lovely little restaurant. Food delicious. Staff very welcoming and helpful.
Food was real good. Just not the best organised with their orders. I preordered and paid, went to pick it up and they didnt have my order. They did get on it right away and I waited 10 mins to collect and other takeaway drivers were waiting for orders. I was handed a bottle of beer for the mixup which was really nice of them! 4 stars as the food was good would be 5 if not for the mix-up.
The atmosphere is so nice, perfect for date nights. However this restaurant has a very limited vegan menu. We accidentally ate a green curry and learnt afterwards that it contains Shrimp Paste.
The food was amazing so much flavours and the beef was so soft and cooked perfectly staff are so friendly and the resturant is so beautiful would highly recommend
The food was absolutely lovely, but I would recommend sticking to what you know. We tried being adventurous and it was instantly regretted: though it was made really well, the flavours of some of the dishes werenβt for us. That being said Thai Green and Red curries were one of the best we have ever had! Also 15% if you pick it up instead of delivery!
Been on a few occasions. Each time the staff are friendly. The atmosphere is great and the food tastes fresh and authentic.
We went for the Bangkok 3 course.. so much food so tasty and full of flavour , lovely staff, place is nice and clean
Ordered a takeaway today as weβve always enjoyed the foodβ¦ however today it was extremely disappointing. My tofu tomyum soup had no tofu, the jasmine rice was over cooked and almost squishy, and my pad prik gang was terribly sweet and not spicy in the slightest. The crispy tofu starter was also squishy and sweaty.Unfortunately this was probably the worst food Iβve ever had from My Thai.
What an absolute joke it was. The racism was the kind ive never faced before! Firstly the lady working there kept serving all the white people before us even though we were waiting in a queue (when we phoned them they said it was walk in and no table bookingsbut she served people who came 10 minutes after us first! Then we were seated but she kept taking orders of all the people who wereβnt dark skined first and when we complained she asked us to leave. She really humiliated us, no apology, no manners of how to serve. What a horrible experience. 45 minutes of waiting and no one served us, ended up leaving and they were quite happy about it! My partner ended up leaving with tears.
Amazing service and equally amazing food! Good value for money. First time there for me and my girlfriend, well definitely be revisiting soon!
My girlfriend and I discovered this place during lockdown and had a fair few takeaways from them when the restaurant was closed for dine in. We absolutely loved it so it quickly became our go-to takeaway place. We said wed have to go and dine in once they open again.Since then, due to a health condition, Im now on a very strict diet (no gluten, no lactose and no sugar!I decided to give My Thai a call just to see if there was any chance there was anything on the menu Id be able to have, and they were more than happy for me to choose any soup, salad and curry from the menu and make it from scratch excluding any of the things I cant have, without any fuss at all. Not only that, but without compromising on the quality of the food in any way. I still had a delicious meal and thoroughly enjoyed eating out, something I thought would be completely out of the question due to my restrictive diet.We will absolutely be returning again. Thanks so much My Thai!
Wow, this is honestly the best Thai food Ive had yet.The restaurant is beautifully designed and the lady serving us was lovely.Just an overall amazing experience. I cant wait to go back.
Ordered with Uber Eats half priced food deal. The flavours were not great. So even for half price I wouldnt order it again. It was greasy with Pad Thai being on more sour side. Definitely wouldnt pay full price for it.
We always enjoy a Thai meal at My Thai. This time it was a little cold especially when people came in from outside. The thing I have started to notice is the meat its kind of processed in that it comes in strips weather its beef, chicken or pork. Yeah the taste is still good but for me theres not much variation in the meat texture. Clean and well organised, service is very good.
Returning to My Thai after a few years away we were delighted at the service and the food which was delicious. we shared a mixed Thai starter which was totally amazing, crispy and fresh. then my fiance had the volcano duck which was cooked to perfection, tender, spicy and crispy, amazing.
So, 1st visit here after hearing some good reviews. Meal for my friend Lexis belated birthday celebrations. Three of us tried the sharing option of mixed starters and pick your own main. Food was excellent as pef pictures below, only issue was the main cam with cold plates, come on My Thai, not a great ask to put in a plate warmer, or oven for 5 minutes.
Under present circumstances their arrangements were very good for customers to be socially safe. All felt they were well prepared for us to enjoy well produced food. Everything helped us to be relaxed with the intention of booking a return visit in the near future . Cant wait!!!!
The low hygiene rating deterred us from eating here for a while but nevertheless decided to give it a try. Not one but TWO long black hairs found in the food! When we raised this with the server (who also greeted us upon arrivalshe was very defensive and actually became quite rude. No apology or offer to change dishes. My partner is a blonde and I am almost bald so there can be no explanation other than that it found its way deep into the dish during prep. Really turned our stomachs and we left without finishing the mains. Parking is also a nightmare and if you are unlucky enough to be seated at one of the tables into the reception area then be prepared to wear your coat throughout. Avoid this place and head to Leeds if you are after authentic, fresh, and CLEAN Thai cuisine.
First time we have ever eaten Thai food & we were not disappointed. I had chicken skewers in peanut sauce, others had sticky ribs, sticky chicken wings & soup with tofu & veg. We all agreed starters were delicious, having each sampled a little of the others. Mains included yellow curry, volcano duck, sea bass & chicken curry, flavours different to what were used to, but again all of us said the dishes were excellent. Part of Augusts eat out to help out, so Β£40 knocked off the bill., would be a bit pricey normally, but as a special treat, worth it. Will go again. Service quite good even though busy on the evening we went π
During socially distanced times, My Thai seems to have figured out a safe and efficient way to operate. The food was excellent and with the 50% discount, extremely cheap. Service is quick and friendly, the menu is not overwhelmingly large, which means that what they do, they do extremely well.
Visit the restaurant and get take outs regularly given the fact the food is amazing every time!On my last visit I rocked up to grab a takeaway having not rung up first to place my order as my phone lost signal. On arrival it was crazy busy with diners, but these guys managed to squeeze in my order and still make it delicious! Staff are a credit to this business, great customer service π
We had a party of over 30 of us dining. Staff were very helpful and accommodating, providing great service and atmosphere. Food is very nice and a good choice of dishes. Would recommend you visit. You wont be disappointed. π
What a lovely restaurant. The fairt lights on the ceiling felt magical and the design felt warm, relaxed and cosy. The staff were lovely. Im not great with heat and they were very helpful to make sure I had milder heat yet still very tasty with the spices. We had the Autumn special, absolutely delicious. My tip is to eat early if noise bothers you. We arrived at 6pm and the acoustics were good, by 8pm (Friday eve so busyit felt more noisy and had to listen hard to what others on the table were saying. For many this isnt an issue. The My Thai low alcohol ipa was lovely with the food. The drinks are pricey but the food great value in my opinion.
Had a lovely mixed platter starter and a great massaman curry. The coconut rice was also quality and the Thai IPA is a must get. The atmosphere was also really chill. We were surprised that they dont do desserts however! Highly recommend.
Excellent food, helpful staff, nice decor
Very nice food. Good service and great atmosphere. Little too much coriander and bay leaves in the soup for out taste but other than that food was lush
A Thursday evening visit mom, who hasnt eaten thai food before. The staff were so welcoming and knowledgeable and the Bangkok tasting menu was to die for. The flavours were aromatic and authentic, and the service to our table was superb. The atmosphere was happy and relaxed and everyone we spoke to was having a lovely meal too. Id highly recommend this eatery and if youre close by you can order takeaway too! We both thoroughly enjoyed our meal and drinks and will definitely by back for more!
Delicious Thai Cuisine! good atmosphere, friendly staff, amazing food!
Amazing place ,food and atmosphere . Staff very pleasant . I recommend to go and try Thai food there .
First visit last night on a Groupon deal. The food was absolutely lovely and we tried a few new Thai dishes for the first time.Staff very friendly and welcoming with a sense of humour. The drinks menu is very reasonably priced. The only downside was the limited parking nearby. Will definitely be returning.
Good thai food good view and not expensive ππ
Simply great, best tip, dont eat before you go.
Amazing Thai restaurant! Absolutely delicious with powerful flavour and plentiful portions. The atmosphere and decor are so warm and welcoming and the staff to top it off were lovely and bright. My wife and I enjoyed the meal and will be coming back again. I will recommend to friends, family and anyone wanting to have a great Thai meal. Brilliant!
