My Friends in Florence

It’s small but awesome! It’s more like a Airbnb with free food and drink. The receptionist also gave me a map of the city and briefed every must-do to me. It makes me feel like home!

Staff really nice and helpful!The rooms are nice and cleans and there is a great kitchen with everyting you need (pasta, bread, eggs..I highly recommend!

Truly one of the most hospitable hostels Ive been to! Elio, and all of the staff there, were so kind and welcoming. The kitchen has food provided by the hostel, which saved me lots of money. And when I had a few issues come up (broken phone and need for an English-speaking doctor), Elio was able to lead me in the right direction to find solutions to both. I felt very taken care of here!

I cannot say enough good thing about this place. They went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and even helped me out when they were obligated to. Don’t hesitate to stay here, it’s truly a home away from home.

Very very hospitable! The man on the reception told me about all the things you can do in Florence and was super friendly and nice. That gave me a great mood! The rooms are nice, beds are soft and comfy. There is a lot of free food in the kitchen for guests to enjoy. This place is a synonym to Italian hospitality :thank you very much! I loved my stay!

Both Nadina & Lisa were amazing hosts! This place is your home away from home. All the recommendations and the place makes you feel like a local. I really had a great stay with them! Nadina was very helpful even before I arrived to Florence and managed to cancel my booking from Booking.com as I was arriving to the city a day later. Definitely recommend if you’re a solo female traveller. Thanks for everything!

Truly one of the best experiences at a hostel . The girls dorm was so fun! A very good stay was made spectacular by the hospitality of Lisa at the front desk. The beds are comfortable, and its nice to sleep in a single bed instead of a bunk bed. There is coffee and simple breakfast foods in the morning. In a city of mediocre hostels, this one stands out!

What a pleasant stay, lovely staff and a very good price-performance ratio - they even hat a great choice for breakfast, including tee and coffee - and this 6 Minuten from the Train Station. Will be from now on my 1. choice in Florence - thanks

Absolutely recommend to stay here!Really really nice Hostel with very friendly and helpful staff. They have two appartements in old buildings in the ground floor with AC. There are several rooms and a big kitchen with refrigerator and oven where you can prepare your own food. For breakfast they have some baked goods and toppings and you get cereal and milk all inclusive. Also an espresso machine for guests use.WiFi works very well, the rooms are clean and comfortable.

To be true, if you are visiting Florence try this place! You wont disappoint.Pros -1. Very impressive paper board navigation for guests in case of late hours check-in.2. Cleanliness was really good at all places like room, kitchen, bathroom, lobby area.3. Making bed on daily basis.4. Open sky area for sitting and get together with other guests.5. Helpful staff and owner to comfort guests.6. Nice suggestion on map for places for cheap as well as good food, places to visit.7. Location is good near to tourist attraction as well as near to train station.Can improve -Give a call to customer if nobody (hotel staffwill be available to receive them in case of odd hours for letting them know about your arrangements or receive call if they try to connect

So happy I booked at My Friends! The staff is friendly and helpful from the get-go, and are ready to make sure that all needs are met and each guest is comfortable. The hostel is in a great location (close to restaurants, attractions, and public transportation), and it is very well-kept and clean. Lots of nice details are added...shampoo, fresh towels, lockers, breakfast, an espresso machine, maps, safe baggage storage on days of check-in and check-out, and more. I especially like that it’s low key...good for socializing yet quiet enough to relax☀️

Guten tag! The host is a professional knowing how to deal with people, how to catch up your needs before you ask something. I assure she will be willing to help you and she will be your friend especially if you travel by yourself. I searched for the other hostels in Florence, but any hostel cant be better in host, location and also price. Book this hostel before its fully reserved. Danke ;))

One of best hostels Ive stay at. The host Lisa is super nice and really helpful, she gave lots of useful information. The amenities are excellent, its very clean, has air con, wifi is really good, they provide breakfast, its right across from the train station and trams and walking distance from attractions. Great value for money. Really deserves 5 Star! Highly recommend this place.

Very lowkey and relaxing hostel. The rooms are very clean. The owner is extremely friendly and helpful and just made my time there amazing. She even made free breakfast for everyone!

I stayed in a female section of the hostel. It was nice, very clean, tidy. Had air conditioning (thank God), working wifi, a kitchen with full breakfast in the morning included in the price.2 Large shared bathrooms with clean towels.The girls who own the place are half German and half Italian, theyre really lovely and helpful and made me feel at home.They even left me the keys for whole the day of my check out, so I could leave my luggage there and use their facilities with no extra cost. Bravo!

Amazing hostel. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful, even made everyone a lovely breakfast in the morning. The beds were clean and warm, with extra blankets if you needed them and towels ready for you.

Clean and tidy. Very friendly atmosphere. Owners are top top and very friendly. Come here for good recommendations and a relaxed quiet centotally located stay in Florence.

I liked it. Friendly staff and clean.Note: no lockers for luggage, only small lockers to put valuables. Only two bathrooms so very busy in the mornings. Room was right beside busy road and the soundproofing was terrible.

Really enjoyed my stay here. Well priced and situated right near the train station, I would highly recommend it if you dont mind hostels and the breakfast is a bonus.

A truly wonderful hostel, located in the heart of Firenze. Nadina and Lisa really made this hostel feel like a home! The free breakfast and kind service is reason enough to stay in this hostel, let alone the fresh bed sheets everyday and free toiletries! They go out of their way to make this hostel clean and inviting upon entering. The location is perfect, as it’s in a quiet pocket but close to the train station, close to restaurants, bars, and walking distance to all the major attractions Firenze has to offer. If you’re looking for a small, quiet, and friendly hostel, then My Friends is the perfect fit. I met so many friends staying at this hostel that I’m sure I’ll reconnect with and stay with in the years to come. Love My Friends!

The host is really gentle and she has been really kind, as it was the first time for me in an hostel. I slept in a room with 6 beds, everyone was gentle, the onliest problem is that someone may come back to the room late, but thats normal. There where 3 a little bit small bathrooms, used even by the other hosts. Onliest problem was that the BIDET was not present.

It is right near the train station and close to major attractions in Florence. The house is incredibly nice and helpful. Offered advice on restaurants and best place to watch the World Cup. Breakfast is good every morning and beds are comfortable.

My Friends is a warm and cozy place to stay in Florence. Nadina is a fantastic hostess! She is very welcoming and attentive to her guests. Id highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Florence.

Fantastic. Owned by a friendly, social and attentive couple. Youll be well accommodated, free breakfast, guests polite and location in such a great city is brilliant, with everything in short walking distance. Theyll even recommend the best places to go. You can even securely store your belongings if you want to put your mind at ease. 5 stars! Joel :)

The hostel wont blow you away, but if you want that go find an expensive hotel. It has everything you need, plus the owner Nadina makes this one of the better hostel experiences youll find. Shell make sure you know where to go in the area, help you in any way and even make you breakfast the next day. Nadina really makes the place. Ill be back when in Florence.

This Hostel is only 1 of 2 hostels I stayed at that gets 5 stars from me after 2 months traveling Europe. The reason why, was the hostel clerk (Owner?was by far the most friendly and accommodating person I dealt with while staying in hostels. She was helpful about letting me leave my luggage and she put up a sign for me in case she was out when I came back so I could find my room. (Since I had arrived way before check-in time, didnt faze her at all though). She was very friendly with other international hostelers, always knowing a few words in their language to make them more welcome. Thought about the room composition and what would be best for everyone, without a thought of charging more. A full Breakfast is served to you on a tray in the morning. Free juice, tea, ice at any time. I got the feeling whatever she could do to improve your stay she was willing to, and wanted to do. Rooms and bathrooms were all clean, very safe feeling and environment. Its downsides were no AC, spotty Wifi in some rooms, and no real lounge room or bar to socialize in. However I felt so welcomed there, and any issue I had in Florence she worked with me to fix. Along with great suggestions where to go eat, or what to see. Despite what should have been a few setbacks, this was my favorite hostel experience of my entire trip.

It is quite close to train staion and duomo cathedral. Nadina(not sure her name), the owner, is very friendly and willing to help you. Not very high quality in condition, but absolutely good for budget travellers.

Book this hostel now! The best hostel experience Ive ever had, starting with the wonderful Nadina who was the most welcoming host Ive ever seen. You immediately feel like family in her presence and the little touches like a map with hand-written and highlighted recommendations was great, as was a little bottle of wine at the start :The people that stay at this hostel are amongst the friendliest Ive stayed with as well Only negative was the wifi was pretty average but on the whole: 10/10!

Fantastic hostel in Florence. Nadia, the owner, was always so sweet and even made reservations at a steak house down the street for us. She also gave us some homemade wine to take up to the Michelangelo hill/plaza! Several small bathrooms were available and a little area to sit and eat and meet others. Everything was very clean too. Highly recommended!

The best hostel I have stayed at in Italy and my first Port of call whenever I am in Florence. The hostess was delightful and offered proper hospitality. The location is perfect balance between the peaceful end of town and the busy Central streets.

Lovely place to stay near the center of Florence. The proprietor is friendly and seems genuinely enthusiastic about her business and her guests. Not a party hostel - no issues with noise at night.

New owners! They are running this place since last summer. Amazing hostel where you will meet nice solo travellers in a quiet relaxing vibe! Its not that kind of typical party hostel and I liked that! Especially for travellers who really come to florence for the art and culture and of course food and wine:amazing beautiful city!!
