My Friend's Kitchen - Restaurant in Darwin, Australia
Great lychee drink and yummy food
The brisket and rare beef pho is one of the best Ive ever had. And exceptional service.
Food was good.. I enjoyed my crispy chicken with egg noodle soup.My wife said her vermicelli dish as average. She would have given it 3.5 stars
I go here regularly for phõ bò. Very satisfying. Very obviously a family run business with very polite and friendly staff.
Nice meals, freshly prepared, flavour with no chilli so modified for Australian tastes. The vermicelli noodle bowl with lemongrass beef was good.
Visited this lovely little restaurant on a Tuesday at 8.45pm. They accepted us even though they were closing in 15 mins (9pmwhilst they were extremely busy which I appreciated greatly. They warned me about the 30min wait and I am glad I decided to wait because it was so worth it!If I could give them 10 stars out of 5 I would because the food was simply delectable, flavourfilled and made to order so it came out piping hot.I ordered the grilled chicken rice paper rolls and the rare beef and ball noodle soup (Pho). My rice paper rolls were made with fresh ingredients that burst with flavours while my Pho had such an intense deep broth that came out smelling divine and tasted even better. The family that run this business really are so sweet and hard-working. In a busy street full of food options, this little place stands out the most to me. I will be visiting them again before I leave Darwin and recommend them highly!
Slow food and extremely small portion sizes. I would not recommend there are far better value and quality options around unfortunately
Best food I have eaten in Darwin. So fresh!
Hard working people but we had to wait for too long. 30min wait for rice paper rolls and anther 25min wait to get the main dish. The thing was not many people were there in the restaurant. Small place but it wasn’t full or no food was getting ready for take away either. Food quality wise i had better Vietnamese places.
What a beautiful surprise. The best dimsim I have EVER eaten. The best fried rice Ive ever eaten. The best honey king prawns I have ever eaten. I honestly cant say much more than amazing food and great service and BYO to top it off.
Nice asian food located right in the heart of Mitchell st. Will be back again :)
I really wanted to love it but the food was a little disappointing, the flavours were really authentic but all the meats were overcooked and dry, service not overly friendly
Great food would definitely recommend
Arrived Sunday at 1pm. Not open. Sign on door says open Sunday at 12. Completely closed. No notice on the door.
Food always great, service a tad slow, however food so lovely we never mind, just allow time.
Delicious Vietnamese cuisine in Mitchell St. They have the best Vietnamese Iced Coffee too. Highly be recommended!
Punches above its weight. Good mix of greens & vegetables, meat & carbs. Tasty, pleasant service & well-priced, would eat here again.
Worst Vietnamese dining had in darwin frozen meat heated up could tell and heard no sizzling in kitchen just microwave beeping, pork vermicelli little bit dried pork lots of iceberg lettuce little bit carrot and no flavour
Very quick and friendly service, this Vietnamese family owned restaurant cook delicious food, we emptied all the dishes we ordered🤣Usually can’t take a lot ...lol
Great little restaurant. The young kid who took our order was very polite and very efficient when he’s not on his iPad.Food is very good especially the salt and pepper prawn dish
Really nice family run place. Quick service and tasty food sizzling beef satay was pretty good.
Very friendly and accomodating, happy to customise an order for extremely particular clientele! Satay beef was magnificent, highly recommend! Special Fried rice was the perfect accompaniment 👌
The restaurant was really clean. They serve the good quality of all the dishes. Very recommended. Price friendly, and great food too.
Really sweet family running the restaurant. Pleasant atmosphere and quick service. The food is really yum, I especially like the bun cha with grilled pork and spring rolls. Highly recommend.
Lovely family run biz. Sometimes quite busy, but service usually spot on. Tucker very good. BYO fair deal. All good.
Clean food we ate was delicious and owners very welcoming and polite.very enjoyable meal.
The food was quite alright, nothing to write home about though. Got served by approximately 11yo. kid who was busy catching a cockroach around the restaurant. No bugs in the food though.
Great food and services, staff were really friendly and warm
Great restaurant and great food and prices are not expensive the food was excellent highly recommended this place
Very professional and food is good also. The chef was very caring with all his customers. Good Job!
Beautiful home-style food in an unassuming little shop on Mitchell. Food is way better than the some of the more lit and buzzing places nearby. Give it a shot. You wont be disappointed. 😀
Fresh tasty affordable vietnamese food. Delicious🤩😍🤩 would recommend
Very delicious Vietnamese food in a clean setting and with excellent service
Central CBD. Calm, friendly, reasonably affordable - meat noodle soup =16$ - filling. Very tasty. Soup suitable for kids. Not very kids friendly. Nice bright decor. I would go back for the tasty noodle soup.
A bit pricey for ordinary Vietnamese fare. To be expected in the Mitchell Street Tourist Precinct. Great pho broth, in my humble opinion. I wish, however, that the combination noodle soup truly lived up to its name. I was disappointed by the portions of beef brisket and tendon. Mostly beef balls and sliced beef. All in all, I left satisfied. The free canned soft drink helped.
Great service and great food. Never had a complaint and eaten here a lot.
Expensive little restaurant. Friendly and prompt service. But not worth it. Food taste more or less average. Was not impressed with seafood dish. Maybe other dishes better.....
Delicious Vegetarian Soup - home cooking style 🥰
Absolutely fabulous, must try, great little place
Fantastic Vietnamese food. Great friendly people. Food is reasonably priced. Highly recommend.
Great for a very quick and fresh lunch (or dinner). Cant go past the pork chop with rice, or beef pho. And should start off your meal with the stuffed chicken wing.... yummo.
Great food and service is extreeeemely quick. One of my favourite lunch spots.
I go there for the Pork and Wonton Egg Noodle Soup - simply delicious and the best in Darwin
We have tried the pho and the pork chop rice. Food is reasonably good, although i would say the portions are a tad small for the price. The pho could really use a couple more meatballs and slices of beef. The the service is quick and friendly.
Staff very nice and the food is delicious , particularly the Pho beef soup I lovely. I recommend for my friends. Is my favourite restaurant in Darwin.
The space is nice and the staff was friendly, but they really skimped on the meat in my pho.
Fast friendly service. The best Pho Ga in Darwin! Great rice paper rolls too. Highly recommended.
Always a favourite stop off when staying in Darwin. The Pho Tai (rare beefis great as well as the Vietnamese Milk Ice Coffee.Friendly atmosphere and good food at a good price.
Authentic Vietamese. Homey atmosphere & fresh food prepared well & quickly. Good value & the name says it all. No pretensions.
“Very average meal but cheap”Overall it was an uneventful experience. The food arrived nice and quick and the food was freshly prepared. The food is quite blance and the service was simply take the order and bring the food - no wow factor. Not much more to say other then if you want authentic Vietnamese, youll need to go elsewhere.Visited October 2012
