Mvuu Camp in Machinga

Awesome safari and camp. Patrick was out guy and was very knowledgeable on the animals and pants andchexwas easy to work with. The camp was nice. Food was very good. One night they had some dancing representing dances of thexarea tribes. They will have a morning and afternoon safari. The afternoon goes to just after sunset. There are 3 options, a jeep safari, a boat safari and a walking safari

The camp is beautifully laid out and of a reasonable standard. You are accompanied by a personal guide at all times. The safaris are exciting, you see lions, elephants, crocodiles and hippos from very close. The safaris are first class. The food is premium class, the chef is a complete professional. The service is in line with the price.Attention: If you need a taxi, the reception refers you to a guide who has his own taxi. The driver tricks you. It is better to call a taxi yourself.

One of my favorite places to visit. The safari experience is great! Everything is well planned and thought through. The staff are amazing - very friendly and available whenever you need them.

Great 3 star camp that will deliver to satisfaction. Nice rooms. Good food. Good activities. But above all great service and hospitality.Dont read me wrong ... Mvuu Camp isnt a deluxe camp but their service will make you feel like a King or Queen.Thanks again for your great input in making my groups stay a real success.

Excellent service from all the staff in particular the guide (Stanfordwho was very experienced and full of knowledge on the Game Drive. Average food, which could be improved. Rooms were very comfortable. Family friendly. Swimming pool.

I had so much fun here in 2015 and am dreaming of returning to Liwonde National Park someday. I had more fun here than I have in possibly my entire life. The water safari was INCREDIBLE and my favorite by far. The land rover ones were amazing also! I saw so many hippos, water bucks, birds, elephants, mongoose, zebras, and more. Our chalet was incredible and I loved it so much, I cannot wait to someday return to this beautiful national park in a wonderful country!

Its all natural. I took the safari and loved it. Saw many elephants, hippos and many other animaks. Was on a mission trip with UTurn ministries.

Great place, great guide, fantastic boat safari

In einem wunderbaren Ambiente würden wir ebenso professionell wie freundlich betreut, die Kompetenz der Guides würde ich mir auch in Europas Nationalparks wünschen. Wir hatten eine großartige und vergessliche Zeit und hoffen wiederkommen zu können.

Very nice place

A beautiful safari camp. We stayed for 3 nights in April, and the Chalets were well kept with spacious bathrooms and areas to relax in. The highlight however was the food, which was fantastic and varied each day. The safaris were brilliant also, but the area around Mvuu is not full of many animals, so I would recommend going further South e.g. down to Liwonde of you are more interested in animals rather than relaxation. Overall a pleasant stay and would definitely go back again!

Elephants just 2-3 min from our cottage. A lot of hippos, crocodiles, monkeys. Very nice and clean cottages. Good food and WiFi for free. Staff very helpful.

The food is very good. The service is excellent. The accommodations are clean and neat. The river and savannah safaris are extremely well guided. The ambiance is enhanced due to the monkeys all around (even if they steal your food on occasionand the proximity of the hippos, elephants and crocodiles in and along the river right across from Mvuu lodge is spectacular.

Stunning hotel, staff were amazing, couldnt do enough for us. The lodges are beautiful and the attention to detail and design was outstanding. Food was out of this world. We did a game drive the evening we arrived and watched the sun setting and the stars coming out over the river .In the morning we went on a boat safari and saw 3 herds of elephants and of course hundreds of hippos. I have completely fallen in love with Mvuu camp

I had a great stay here and would it be a bit cheaper outside the green season (very good deal here for Malawi residentsI would visitmore often. Very well run place, stunning setting, good wildlife viewing. For safari in Malawi probably the or at least one of the best places. Only four stars as Ive been to safari camps in Zambia that outperformed Mvuu just a little bit more in terms of chalet (tree house...), service (e.g. ice tea rather than hot tea before the game drives wouldhave been so good...), food.

I have been in this camp for 3 times . Once with my wife and other 2 times with friends . We all enjoyed beautiful service , views , foods and of course wildlife. Love to come back again..

Genau wie die Lodges ist auch im Camp alles mehr perfekt:- toller Service- leckeres Essen- tolle Ausflüge in die Savanne- Hippos überall- unbeschreiblicher Ausblick über den Fluss- unglaubliche SonnuntergängeEin längerer Aufenthalt hier ist wirklich sehr zu empfehlen!

Absolutely fantastic weekend. We turned up late due to a delayed flight into Malawi. As a result we missed the evening Game Drive. The staff were incredibly accommodating and offered to take us out at 4am the following morning so that we didnt miss out on our Game Drive.Food was excellent, the accommodation was neat, clean and tidy. Food and service were brilliant. Cant really fault our experience. Thank you!

Amikor megérint bennünket a halál rájövünk, hogy a test sokkal hamarabb feladja, mint a gondolatok és az emlékezet. Az arasznyi létünk utolsó sugarai mindig olyan helyekre repítenek, ahol úgy éreztük, hogy az Isten tenyerén hordott minket. A vágyunk egy fájdalom nélküli Elysium felé, amely öröktől bennünk él. Néha megadatik egy-egy pillanat, és úgy érezhettük megtaláltuk a helyet, ahol igazán otthon éreztük magunkat és ennek a képét szeretnénk utolsónak magunkkal vinni, akkor is , ha csöndes öröklét kapuját belökik mögöttünk. Nekem ez a kép mindig a Shire folyó partján van, egy hatalmas akácia fa alatt, ahol a délutáni napsütésben egy bögre teát szürcsölve, hallgattam a kabócák ciripelését és vártam, ahogy az antilopok kilépjenek a fák közül, mert inni jöttek a vízpartra. Poétikus délután volt, mondanák a klasszikusok,de az idő vacak kerekét én legszívesebben ott állítottam volna meg. Örökre. Bár van aki Wounded Knee-ra esküszik, én azt hiszem, hogy a Liwondei Mwuu táborban hagytam már szívem egy darabját. Csak a testem nem tudom mit keres még itt.....

Chalets waren superschön und liebevoll eingerichtet. Alles war sauber. Essen im Restaurant war sehr lecker. Die Angestellten waren super nett.
