Museum of the History of vodka - Museum in Krasnogorsk, Russia
Museum of the History of vodka in Krasnogorsk
Description
MoreMuseum of the History of Vodka in MoscowVisited on 7/10/2019Museum of the History of Vodka is located within the Izmailovo Kremlin complex, a unique centre of culture and entertainment.Although all the members in my tour group are not into alcohol, we still find the visit rather interesting and informative. This is just a "boutique" museum of vodka, and therefore visitors should not expect the building to be like other museums occupying very large floor space.Russia is considered to be the birthplace of 40% alcohol proof vodka, and therefore vodka is synonymous with Russia. Many varieties of vodka are on display, in addition to many historical documents, photographs, artistic installations and the first distillation unit.We are offered a vodka tasting session, and of course visitors are welcome to purchase bottles of vodka.
MoreIts rare place to vist . This place is very smal but dont underestimate it. This has all kinds of vodka in very distinct from and shapes varying from ingenious to exotic brand all in one place. But they all are only for display purposes 😅😅😅😅. So Dont get you hope too high.
MoreFriendly staff it was nice to talk with her and she speaks English
MoreVery interesting exposition with English guides and pleasant tasting of different types of vodka ;)
MoreZespół Kremlin. Muzeum wódki robi bardzo dobre wrażenie. Miła i kompetentna obsługi. Dobrze zaaranżowane wnętrze, ciekawe eksponaty. Polecam znawcom i koneserom. Wszystkim innym również.
MoreThis was so great! The audio tour was great and I had a good time.
Nothing to see. Nothing in English. Only a good taste of vodka.
Nice place to visit if youlove vodka not to expinsive
Never knew this much about vodka
cute museum and dog
Interesting exhibit, with interactive elements for non-russian speakers. Staff and dog are incredibly friendly. Make sure to grab a bottle from the gift shop.
MoreGreat museum, but the Vodka selling is a business there.
Small, 20 minutes museum included an annoying dog inside which tried to eat our jacket. But the history of the vodka was interesting!
MoreAmazing place! 😍

Small but very interesting musium. Well explain by the girls who work there. They help to understand how russia famous for vodka. Many vodka flavers can try free of charge. 1000 of different flavers, bottles, brands are display for visiters. Can by some vodka bottles too.
MoreGood place
Rude. Was chased away. Had a meeting. Wanted to support them with huge vodca purchase.
MoreVery good,drink some vodka
Place is inside Ismailovo Kremlin.. not very difficult to find...Entry fee is only 250 ruble /head...audio guide in mobile set is free of cost...Nice way of narration...Many historical photographs and history related to vodka...Its preparation, modification and finally coming to its best shape and odour! Must visit for all alcohol and vodka lovers.
MoreNice
Really not worth the journey. The place was shabby and dingy and gloomy. Like time had stopped there at some point.
MoreNothing special
Really worth taking a break and tasting vodka. good local experience !!! love the antique table settings.
MoreAmazing place, highly recommend for foreigners!
So much history behind the popular drink as well as its involvement in Russia. A very fun place to visit!
MoreA cute mini museum with a history and walking tour (in English and Russian). Plus, a vodka tasting!
MoreHave english guided audio
Dont go here, waste of money, time and oxygen (walking 2 floors)
A little boring
Absolutely amazing tour by Anna!!
Best
Very interesting place to visit good atmosphere
Many bottles of vodka without real history of vodka. Its expensive for the exposition.
MoreThe size of this museum is like 15 meters square and the tasting was horrible.
At what other museum do you get a welcome drink on arrival! Theres a slew of interesting artefacts and tidbits of information on the history of vodka. Download the phone app and read the QR codes to hear the story. Theres also drinks to buy including ciders and vodkas after you finish. The museum is small, itll only take about 20 mins to go through, but really enjoyable. Watch the days you go however, on some days the museums are closed (theres also the bread and the chocolate museum to visit). The most days the markets are open next door, which has the cheapest and largest selection of handmade babushka folks in Moscow.
MoreVery disappointing. No explanation whatsoever other than in Russian, the tasting was of a flavored Vodka
MoreThe place has changed the location. Now its a lot worse than it used to be. You go up to the third floor without elevator. You stay in a very stuffy room with no air conditioner. And then you climb down the stairs again. They had vodka tasting which wasnt good either. Three kinds of vodka - horse radish, cranberry and pine tree nuts infused vodkas. All were diluted by half with water. Beware guys. You might not like it.
MoreNot what I expected, not even vodka tasting. WIFI does not even work inside the museum.
MoreWorth a visit
Interesting Russian place. Nice bar and a small vodka museum inside.
Excellent Russian food with interesting History of Vodka Museum on the grounds.
Interesti.g place, real Russian atmosphere.
