very authentic place which immerses you in the past centuries, interesting even for me as a non-medical student.

Very interesting quirky place that we were lucky to stumble across as a respite from the beautiful but busy square.We were escorted around by a very lovely interesting man (unfortunately I missed his namewho was was full of interesting facts and stories.He really added to the whole experience, well worth a visit.

Expérience hautement positive.À la différence des autres musées de Kaunas qui, lorsqu’ils prennent la peine d’ouvrir, offrent un accueil digne du plus fervent des communistes, ici le maître des lieux est chaleureux et passionné. L’établissement est riche d’une collection exhaustive et d’une ambiance assez particulière (l’étage de la cave). Aussi bien les simples curieux que les vrais passionnés de médecine ou de pharmacie y passeront à coup sûr une bonne heure d’enrichissement culturel.

Interesting traditional exhibits of historical items related to pharmaceuticals, and some related to medicine in general. The staff was fantastic: knowledgeable and friendly!

For me as a pharmacy student was this place really beatufil! Exhibition looks nice and guide was amazing, she kows everything! We saw also medicine department of the museum with many gadgets. I recommed this place everyone, also not-pharmacy people.

Very nice museum, they have a large collection of items related to medicine and pharmacy. The guide was very passionate and happy to give us information.

Make sure not to miss this authentic and well stocked museum, depicting lithuanian pharmacy and medicine creation in the late 19th century and first half of 20th century. Very sweet and approachable staff, greetings to the witty elderly gentleman who told us some interesting facts in historical context and with whom we shared some laughs!

Ganėtinai įdomi šio muziejaus istorija ir ekspozicija, kuomet tų laikų vaistinė buvo tiek vaistų, tiek higieninių priemonių ne tik pardavimo vieta, bet ir jų gamykla. Todėl ekspozicijoje yra atvaizduota XIX a. pabaigos – XX a. pradžios Lietuvos miesto vaistinė. To meto vaistinėje budavo kelios patalpos: oficina (receptūrinis kambarys), koktorija, vaistingųjų medžiagų atsargų kambarys, laboratorija, rūsys.

Įdomus, autentiškas ir nebanalus muziejus. Rekomenduoju pasiimti gidą, su juo muziejus atgyja į vientisą farmacijos ir medicinos evoliucijos istoriją, kurioje netrūksta humoro, nenuobodžių faktų ir istorinės apžvalgos ;)

Nerealiai buvo įdomu rekomenduoju 100%tikrai verta o Kaune mažoka muziejų kur verta labai ačiū Gidei už nuostabų pasakojimą

Muziejų aplankyti verta, bet su gidu ne visada pasiseka, tuomet ekskursija labai prailgsta ir įdomios istorijos tampa nuobodžios

Fantastiškas muziejus ir nepaprastai įdomūs, apsiskaitę, šarmingi gidai. Atėjau praktiškai nieko nesitikėdama, o išėjau pilna galva įdomių faktų. Negana to, muziejus kupinas įdomiausių eksponatų ir pasižymi žavinga architektūra. Nudžiugino ir kiemelyje kabantys Šimkūnaitės ir trejų devynerių plakatai. Drąsiai galėtumėt pakelti bilieto kainą, nes muziejaus vertė - neapsakoma. Reikėtų ir labiau reklamuoti, nes tikrai nedaug kas apie jį žino. Ačiū :)

Very interesting museum, not crowded and not expensive

Polecam, Swietne muzeum, i bardzo oddany przewodnik chętnie opowiedział o wszystkich eksponatach po angielsku, polsku jak i litewsku.Warto odwiedzić, nie tylko studentom medycyny.

非常令人驚艷的博物館，保留當時十分完整的設備和環境。導覽人員活潑又仔細地說明更讓人喜歡這個地方。如果有來到這附近千萬不要錯過它！另外，地下室是過去保存藥品的地方，因此即使外面酷熱難耐，在裡面仍然會覺得蠻冷的，記得穿上外套。

great unusual place, interesting little facts, even if you are not from medicine area. During hot weather, definitely good for cooling down inside. Guide was incredible.

We had a great tour of this exhibition, the staff are really friendly and taught us so much about the history of medicine in Lithuania. Would definitely recommend!

Atvažiavome iš miestelio ir apie mus kalbėjo blogus dalykus, labai nemandagiai elgesi jog mes esame žemesni už juos. Labai nusivyliau 😔

Great museum to visit

The most interesting museum I have ever been to. Just after coming in authentic building and friendly personnel meets you. Lots of exhibits dating from 1000 years old till ones of 20th century. The cost is also ridiculously low. Just 1€ for students and 2€ for adults. During the visit I was constantly narrated about history of medice and pharmycy which was much more interesting, than just reading information tables. Also even thought I am not pharmasist or doctor the museum managed to really engage me with lots of bizarre facts and stories. Truly big thanks for the dedicated staff. I recommend to visit this museum for anyone who is in Kaunas. Undoubtedly one of a kind.

Very interesting museum and guided tour. Museum is part of the Kaunas University of Medicine and holds large collection of medical instruments, tools, and displays. You can see also working pharmaceutical machinery and learn how the old time pills and medicines were made. In another room you can find pharmacist shop and dentist’s studio.Suosittelen kovasti kaikille joita vähänkin kiinnostaa lääketiede. Hyvin opastettu pieni museo.

Its intresting place to visit as an adult and for the family with kids. It has gathered old time tools and machine used in medicine and pharmacy from all over Lithuania. Its intresting for everyone not only doctors or pharmacist.

Tai labai tinkama vieta žmonių sanitariniam švietimui, kaip teisingai vertinti vaistus, daryti teigiamus pasikeitimus savo gyvenimo būde....Buvau keliose paskaitose...Labai patiko.

Buvo labai įdomu susipažinti su medicinos istorija nuo senų senų laikų, kaip keitėsi priemobės ir įrankiai, o labiausiai patiko senosios vaistinės patalpos su visai buvusiais baldais, prekystaliu, vaistų gaminimo vietomis ir žinoma senuoju kasos aparatu.

A must see for everyone interested in the subjects of history, pharmacy or medicine. It is one of the most interesting museums Ive seen covering that subject. People working there seem very commited to what they are doing. The guides can tell you lots of interesting stories related with the items displayed there. The musuem has a full reconstruction of a pharmacy of the 19th-20th century. Along with that, they have a display of belongings of prominent Lithuanian doctors, old X-ray equipment as well as a dental treatment workstation. Informative, interactive and without doubt worth your while.

Very interesting, friendly, informative

A must see! Never thought that we have such an interesting place. So many curious items. The museum is near the town hall. Inside you will find a complete reconstruction of the 19th - 20th century pharmacy. Museum was founded in mideaval building so there are lots of small spaces full of medical oddities from early ages to 20th century.

Excellent guide in English walked me through the different rooms showcasing a number of artifacts from the history of pharmacy and medicine in Lithuania. Very interesting stories to accompany each room! Strongly recommended for anyone in the medical sciences to stop by.
