It would be great if they made a note that this is only open to hotel guests….After I walked 40 minutes in the pouring rain to get here.

For having known 5POINTZ, my friend who lives in New York had his building embedded in this place. Every time I went to visit him I took pictures of all the graffiti, there were sublime ones. Then the place was destroyed. In December 2018, I went to citizenM Bowery and visited the place. All along my descent I photographed the walls of the stairwell, and I was dazzled by the beauty of the works presented. So, do not miss this visit.

Museum of Street Art (MoSApreserved a artworks in a setting where any individual and pause to absorb its beauty, lessons and culture. It starts on the 20th floor and concludes at the lobby. Yes a trek but not one that is arduous.

This was a joke.I was so excited to find this museum & see the graffiti work, BUT THIS IS NOT A MUSEUM. It’s only a STAIRWELL in a new trendy hotel in New York City. The hotel design is spectacular BUT THIS IS NOT A MUSEUM. I was so disappointed.I throughly browsed the website, made a reservation to come...no one even cared about me having a “reservation” (it’s not needed btw). One of the hotel employees took me to the rooftop floor - there are no signs on the rooftop that instruct you to the “museum” - you go out the EXIT door and the “graffiti” starts...every artist had 1 floor designated for their work; I only noticed a handful of graffiti artists and the remainder was portrait artists. You get to the bottom floor and THAT’S IT! No conclusion, no “museum staff or support” - I thought the stairwell was only the beginning of the experience. This experience left me with “less to be desired work” - hyped up for no reason and on top of it, the curator wasn’t even born in NY, not the United States...she moved here when she was a teenager. How do you curate culture that you never grew up with?THIS IS NOT A MUSEUM - do not waste your time. You can see amazing graffiti artists all over NYC, without going here. Go to the TRANSIT MUSEUM - this is where you will find amazing history and value the efforts of all those who made this MUSEUM possible + truly appreciate the workers who died to make the NY Transit System.

A true New York experience! Located in the recently opened Citizen M Hotel, the Museum of Street Art features artists from 5 Pointz. It closes in the late afternoon so it is best to visit in the afternoon. After taking the elevator to the top floor, the exhibits are in the stairwell, each floor featuring a different artist. After walking down, take the elevator back up for a cocktail in the rooftop bar which has truly fantastic views of the City.

Really neat idea and loved the art. It was very interesting that it was in the stairwell. That rest of the hotel actually looked really cool too.

Fantastic idea and well executed in terms of the gallery itself. Probably needs more signage though. I only stumbled across it because I was starting a free floors down from the roof bar. Pretty cool idea to have a museum in a stairwell, cant say Ive done that before 👍

An exhibit displaying a wealth of art by NYC-based street artists in the stairwell of the CitizenM hotel. It could use some more signage/information about the work/artists but it’s an enjoyable, quick visit.

We checked it out on the way out of the CloudM Rooftop bar. No reservations. Its a very cool idea, utilizing a space that in most hotels are simply ignored. Each flight of stairs for the 16 floors has a different artist and theme. A lot of different and.wild stuff going on in there. Definitely worth checking out. Take your time, hold the handrail and youll have fun.
