A beautiful Museum with a stunning atrium space. I very much appreciate the architecture of this building with its rhythmic arches and contemporary space frame structure that encapsulates the outdoor atrium. This archetype provides a beautiful harmony between old and new which gives the user (usthe ability to appreciate the volume of space being presented.The art inside was both evocative and polarizing. The exhibits today tell stories about fragmentation, temporality, place, and identity. All were very emotional in their own way and I enjoyed the movement through all of the exhibits.I would recommend this place to anyone visiting and PR on a rainy or sunny day. Very inexpensive as well - $5 a pop per person.

Don’t waste your time…there is nothing there. I walked through both exhibits and was done in literally 3 minutes. I wasted 30 minutes walking here, gave them $5 for entrance, and $1.50 for a mask. Place was empty, and the docent made me wear the mask….and when I left, the woman at the front door didn’t have a mask on….

Only one real public exhibit, the rest are pieces by younger students.

We were only able to view two exhibits because the second floor was closed off in preparation for an upcoming exhibit. However we enjoyed the main exhibit which was a time travel exhibit. In addition the mural on the lower level was great. I hope to go back once the new exhibit opens.

1 gallery open. Website doesn’t tell you that as it’s unreachable. Do not recommend at this time.

Not worth visiting this weekend. Almost no exhibits. Paid for a mask and wouldnt replace when it broke after 10 minutes

We enjoyed our visit! There were only two exhibits open but we will definitely be back. We appreciated the free parking inside gate.

Not much to see. I appreciate that they’re supporting queer artists in their main exhibit but they only had 1 big exhibit.

They only had one small exhibit open. If they had more going on, it would have been better.

It’s a very sad experience. Not really a museum, more like a center of activities with souvenirs store with two cheap exhibitions. One of the exhibitions has no coherence and the other one is a kids exhibition. The kids exhibition was very brief, but the only part I enjoyed.

Great museum right in the middle of Ponce. The exhibits were amazing and took queer culture seriously with inclusive language! It was so impressive to see as most museums don’t prioritize marginalized communities. The exhibit on the top floor Cüirtopia, is one of the best exhibits I’ve ever been to in its breadth of creativity, humor, and made objects! There were 5 rooms in all so you can visit everything in about an hour to an hour and a half. You buy tickets in the gift shop and are $5 as of March 2022. Totally worth it!

It’s unfortunate that an art museum has become a venue for explicitly xenophobic events.

Really beautiful indoors. A lot of the current art really reminded me of the states treatment of Louisiana.My photos were taken along the way to the museum.

They asked me for my vaccination card & admission is 5$I was moved by the local culture and I think everyone would benefit from experiencing a walk through this beautiful building.

The exhibit on violence against women was deeply moving.

Not necessarily a lot to see, but for $5 there are some interesting exhibits and always great to learn something new.

Beautiful museum building with a nice open atrium in the middle. There were 4 galleries when we went, each probably took about 20 minutes to take in. The art was fantastic and interesting, the galleries were well laid out, quiet, and pleasant. The gift shop is small and so is its selection. Some have complained about the size of the museum or number of galleries, but for a 1-2 hour visit, it is a perfect size to take in all the art without feeling any hurry.

Loved every minute of it. Theres some great collections in there currently. Lots of COVID-19 precautions. When I went it was pretty quiet. Lots of time to really take in the art.

Very disappointing. Just 3 rooms with a few exhibitions. Not sure why is categorized as a contemporary arts museum. Dont waste your money here, just go to the Museum of Art of Puerto Rico in front of the Minillas towers.

Interesting building with a few small galleries and a friendly staff. I did not connect with an of the current exibition l, but I would return to see what was in display in the future.

Such a beautiful space. It’s small but worth it. The quality of exhibition and friendly docents made for a great experience. The scope of subject matter and expression was top notch.

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit but had expected a permanent exhibition as well as the probably unintentionally amusing one about gender fluidity and feminism.And its probably better to let the work speak for itself than resort to a word such as epistimiology, among other instruments of obfuscation.

Interesting information. Great staff, it was quite but it helped to approximate the movement as well as the art pieces with it.

The employees from the start, to the store and the ones that are in the art rooms are all amazing people. Its very simple and clean the museum with a perfect touch of relaxation in the middle with nature.

Unfortunately couldnt take photos here but I love the architecture, it use to be a school turned into a museum. Love the outdoors courtyard feature in the center of the building. The basement featured some school childrens artwork.

Enjoy contemporary art paintings in this cozy and lovely museum. Although not often, art performances and theatrical plays can be appreciated as well.

Had some time to kill before my flight had lunch at China Sun across the street and decided to go in and give the museum a shot. Im not too keen on modern art but overall the place was good the only bad thing Id say is that its too quick of a visit but other than that staff was super nice and friendly building was neat looking and the art was pretty cool.

Great museum with an interesting and diverse collection. Pretty inexpensive and took us about 90 minutes to see everything. Most of the exhibit text is in both English and Spanish and the staff is bilingual.

Small but fantastic museum! The collection is varied, showcasing some really great 20th century to present Caribbean art. Easily done in 90 minutes. Adults $5.

This museum, set in a beautiful old building which has an open-air courtyard in the center, is filled with several exhibitions featuring some really great artwork. All of it is made either in Puerto Rico, other Latin American places, or people who are descendants of any Latin American countries. You can definitely get more out of it if you speak Spanish, however I still got a lot out of it as an English speaker with no Spanish experience. Highly recommend checking this museum out if youre in the San Juan area!

Its a new, small museum. IMHO, the museum does a great job picking meaningful works. Its hard to get a good collection with very scared resources, but they are the proof that taste and ideas do matter.

Spectacular building. Well curated exhibitions. Well kept secret!

A small but exciting and odd museum that creates different emotions in the visitor. A place to go with friends invested in art. Not a family friendly museum due to explicit artistic content. However, the museum does stage different activities for people of all ages.
