Poorly maintained collections.. no guides available..
The history of Indonesian post from the Dutch colonial era until nowMany of traditional tools used by post were on display like post bycicle , letter bus etcOf course the postage stamps have been issued are also shown
Cool historical place, well managed
Ive been here to buy some stamps. I love the nuance. Its calm, quiet, and far from the crowded places. Though, its also a lil bit sad for no many people seem to care or even use post delivary services.
Not too big, perfect for short visit. Its also free. It has big collections of stamps from around the world but not very up to date.
Underrated place and need more good care instead of just putting some stuff in basement.
Underrated place, have a long history of Indonesia literature.
Nice museum, kinda deteriorate and need more collection and creativuty. But it gave a pleasant nostalgic memory how i used to wait for mr postman, or the orange post box i often pass by on my way to school
Free entry, just write your name at visitor book. You can see many stamps from back years and many countries.
Because Im a Postcrossing member.
Beautiful, low-ceiling exhibition room, but complete informations and interesting dioramas. Shame it looks a little bit unmaintained, some items are broken and dusty
This place has a lot of stamp collections that are arranged well. Some area are so dusty (lack maintenanceand some stamp collections can not be pulled off from the wall. The first time went to museum, i have a good vibe; this museum was very unique than others in Bandung
free entry here, and many collection
Good
Free entry and nice collection of old stamps from all over the world and postal equipment used by Indonesian postal service.
Its good to know the historical of sending messages before globalization era.👍👍
One of the best museum in Bandung or maybe Indonesia also. It is located near the west Java Goverment building, Gedung Sate in the middle of Bandung city. This museum has many collection from the history of post world in Indonesia. There are so many stamps collection from around the world not only from Indonesia. It is good for young generation to know this place.
One of the must-see heritage sites in Bandung
Just like your usual government museum. Theres a lot of stamps from different countries but the collection is mostly outdated. The place itself is located in an underground basement in Gedung Sate. Try to bring friends here because its kind of creepy if youre alone here. But sometimes theres also group of school kids going around here so yeah, dont be too worry about it.
A post office history in Indonesia, but too small space as a museum
Lot of history !
Located in dutch era building next to Gedung Sate. Good collections of postal service and stuffs, you can see first stamps from around the world and Indonesia, old postal system, postman uniforms and badges, etc. The museum area is in underground. Free entry. Parking area in weekdays usually full of offices activity.
historical place.. you can learn more about post history in indonesia
This museum need a touch of technology, such as audiovisual or something like that.
If you like history (and historical thingsthis is a great place to see the dinosaurs of the written communication world. Great artifacts (or are they still being used by the indonesian post office?)...not crowded during week days and parking space is easy to get....
The location near from gedung sate. In this museum, you will know about history of pos indonesia. You also can see the stamps collection from many countries in this place. There are free entrance.
Museum covering the history of Indonesias post & communications, including transport & stamps.
#LetsGuide Its one of several mini museums in Bandung & easily missed out. Located on the basement at the east wing of Gd.Sate next to Kantor Pusat Pos across the Lansia Park. The museum collections would take you back to the era of mail before email. Most of the collection is well maintained although to look at their stamp folders require some effort as the wooden folders is quite heavy. The room ambient is chill & a bit damped. There is a toilet inside but smelly. Its free of charge, just fill-in the guest book on the lobby. There was no tour guide when i was there but if you need you can ask the staff there.I brought my 7yo & 4yo daughters here to introduce them what is mail also to show them how we can send a stamped postcard or mail through post office.
The oldest company in Indonesia and still alive
Its Pos museum, located at side gedung sate complex. But separated parking lot. So you must entrance from cilaki street. To go inside, its free just write in a guest book. The museum itself located at lower ground. So it will be a little more cold. Inside all are old fashioned item from post things. Interesting !
A great place for educating the people of how the Indonesian post is developed.
A small museum, tidy, and best place to learn about postcard and stamp
so much lesson here. very historical but the room a bit dark
Place with historical knowledge about postmail and other stuff like mailbox, and some script oldest hand-written mail and many other things around about mail in Indonesia
From the reception to the basement we have seen an old postal object. Antiques according to post development in Indonesia, we must pay close attention to no guides that can be asked.Entrance to this place is free.
You must ask somebody around there to show you where exactly Museum Pos is. Theres no entrance fee, lot of vintage stamps there, vintage mailbox and how Pos Indonesia developed years to years.
This place is one of the postal museum in the world that has really enormous amount of stamps collection all over the world, even from a country or place that I have never heard before. You can see many collections of things used by postal service from the era of Dutch East Indies until the indepence of Indonesia. You can know the pioneers of Postal Service in Indonesia. The air is cold and cozy because of the location of this museum at the basement of Post Office of Indonesia HQ. The place is easily reached and adjacent to Taman Lansia and Museum of Geology.
Its small museum but complete about post history in Indonesia.
Nice museum. It is located beside Gedung Sate.
Good for education about history of letter in indonesia and a lot of stamp collection here to look at
No entrance fee. It has old collections. It seems like the authority doesnt take care of this museum (felt humid and little bit creepy)
If you want to know about indonesia postal service history, this is the right place..
Philately world always exists in Bandung, the city of arts and culture
Nothing much you can do here. The entrance fee is free, which is (not thatsurprising, but the museum itself is not that big. And the place gave me the creep, not many visitors during weekdays.
Its free! I dont know much about postal stuffs, but the collections arent that bad. The museum is located at the basement so its a bit cold down there. Old collections and the ambience might give you a bit of goosebumps.
Free entrance! Thats one of the best thing they offer. And you can expect a lot of stamps here. A nice place to spend your quality timePS : its a small museum
Free museum in Bandung. If you are a philatelist, you should go here.
A nice, small museum with rich exhibition from the Dutch colonial era. However, its rather spooky than enlighting with historical stories
A great place to know the roots of todays commucation system. They have a wide collection of worlds stamps.
