Only tourists allowed here by group. They didn’t allow my family because they needed to pay the Tourist fee and since they were Cubans they didnt make enough to pay for it. I was going to pay but decided against it because the money goes to the Regime instead of the employees.

This is a museum you can only visit by a booked tour, not individually. The tour can be booked at the entrance for a given time slot, and they offer at least Spanish and English, but Ive also noticed a French group when we were there. They have different tiers of tours, for example the basic (classictour of 240 CUP included a simple cocktail and a taste of 7yo rum after, and the next level of 480 CUP (pillarswas including a rum tasting at the end of the 3y, 7y and masters selection rums. There are several more expensive options but I dont recall the details.The tour explains the history and process of rum production as well as the differences between Cuban rum and others. At times it feels a bit too much like a Havana Club commercial, but if youre into rum, or Cubas history, its still an interesting experience. They also had a beautiful (award winningscale model of a rum factory.

This was definitely a fun thing to do while in the area. Our tour was in English and we left with a better understanding of the history or rum in Cuba. I’d also highly recommend the sugar cane rum drink being sold in the lobby area.

English tours are every two hours, so I choose to take the Spanish tour and not wait around. It was really cool to see how the company started and how it was originally made. Definitely a place to go see.

Amazing. They have English and Spanish tours. I did the Spanish tour because I was with my wife’s family but I wish I did the English tour. They have a great gift shop. Bring cash as your cards won’t work (You should have figured that out by this point if you’re from the US).

Must visit in Havana. The guide is funny and shares all the interesting info not just about the history of rum, but also the history of Cuba. The 7 years old havana Club rum at the end is just a nice touch. The experience well worth the 10 CUC it costs.

Very beautiful small museum. You can buy excursion for 4,8,12 and 20 CUC. For 8 CUC you can taste 3 rums

Really nice tour guide. The tour lasted 40 minutes with a small sampling of the 7 year aged Havana Club Rum at the end. Good selection of rum (Obviously!but we saw a larger selection in the Cigar shop beside El Floridita.

Overview of the history of Rum in Cuba. 8CUC for 1 tasting at the end of the tour - or you can do a flight for 12 CUC. Tour takes about an hour and you can hang out in the bar as long as you like (reasonably). Exit through the gift shop. Rum pices are the same as the rest of the city.The tour group size is fairly large.

Interesting museum with dioramas, displays of equipment used to make rum. There was rum tasting at the end, purchase of retail goods.

A must visit when in Havana. Clean, organized, great music, good rum.There is no parking nearby, so you need to get there by walking.People are very friendly and the music is ... amazing. It is a great stop if you want to have some cold air from the Havana heat!A little bit pricey, but okay.

Tour was a little strange where you are often left in a room to read the details. Not a lot of question/answer or vivid story telling. Still a good experience but I would prioritise this on your trip.

Is WORTHY to have a visit if you are in Old Havana, the tour last approximately 30-40 min for a price of 7.5 CUC per person includes.- mini tour showing different machine used in the process of distillery- small intro video explaining many interesting facts about the rum production in cuba- little shot of 7yr old Havana Club RumWorkshop were available for a higher price. But still affordable. Opening times was from 9am to 5pm

This museum does a nice job at explaining the process of making Havana Club. They offer tours at different times depending on your preferred language. Two options of tours, the basic gives you a shot of rum, where the more expensive option (12 CUClets you try three different types.

Stopped here on our tour. Our tour guide was pretty funny. He stuck 2 bottles in his pockets. Very entertaining.

Great experience! The guide has a good story to tell, but when you ask questions, he tells much more. Definitely recommend to do the 3 rum tasting, so you can taste the difference between the 3, 5 and 7 year rum.

Great museum with tours in Spanish and English at many different times throughout the day. Our tour guide knew key words in MANY different languages, and this way everyone in my group could understand the history and process of rum in Cuba.

For cubans the visit is free, for tourists the entrance fee is $7 (cuc). Is a small tour, and basically they tell you the history of the cuban rum, there is a nice model of a sugar cane plantation train and procesing factory and they give you.a shot at the end.Para los cubanos es gratis, el recorrido es con un guia solamente, al final te dan un trago de ron. The tour was very interesting but speedy, we didnt realy got time to look around and read the texts which were hanging on the wall. The group contained >20 people so it didnt really fit to each room. A part of the group didnt really hear what the guide was talking about.

For me, the Havana Club museum does not worth at all, you pay 7 CUC/pp and you have a tour of 20 minutes seeing just what is supposed to be a factory (which never was placed there). The best of the tour is the shot of Havana at the end, which we didnt even drink because it was served already in the glass, just God knows how long was there.

Museum of the national drank of Cuba. Havana Club is the name of the most important rum of Cuba. I advise you to do the interesting tour in the building Museo del Ron with an explanation and the story of the process to make rum. After the tour you can taste te Havana Club rum!

Educational tour through a former rum distillery. Clear explanation, nice examples and afterwards rum tasting. Mmmm. The bottles of rum in the associated store are cheaper than at the airport.

We had a very nice tour, followed by the Pilars Tasting! We got to learn about the early development of Havana Club rum, as well as taste the finished product of the perfected process! The tour guide did a very nice job explaining in clear English all about the history of their rum. I recommend this tour to anyone visiting Havana!

English tour starts at 3 pm. Waited for half an hour but it was worth it.Very nice exhibition of Rum production process. Can every taste some molasses.

Costing only 7 CUC, this was a great detour on our trip and something everyone should see if you have even the mildest interest in liquor or Cuban history.First of all, our tour guide was amazing. She had so much energy and spunk and kept every second of the tour interesting and entertaining. She took us through the basic process of making rum and the brief history behind rum in Cuba.They have a neat little model of an old distillery where they actually make the rum, as well as a few replica fermentation and aging barrels.At the end of the tour she talked about the different kinds of Havana club Rum and what each is used for, which incredibly useful, as I ended up buying 5 different bottles by the end of my trip. We got to try some of the 7-year aged rum; very tasty.At the very end is the gift shop which has basically all of Havana Clubs rum varieties, all priced reasonably. It was so interesting and fun, I would even go back.

Anejo Especial is a blend of rums aged for up to five years produced from the fermented molasses of sugar cane harvested by machete wielding guajiros in Cuba. The molasses is combined with yeast and water, distilled using column stills, and aged in white oak barrels with an outrageous Net Profit Margin.

7 cuc for the tour, you learn so much but you wont leave with a massive experience, included a havana 7 shot

We have been to a lot of museums in Cuba and most of them proved to be disappointing because they did not have as much to see in them, as we expected. The museum of rum, however, was better. There was a tour in English several times a day and we paid for it 7 CUC.The tour was about 40min long and the young man that was guiding was doing his best... But it was visible that he is new on the job and every joke that he said was stolen from someone else. Also, I did not appreciate the fact that for half of tour we had to watch a video instead of walking around in the museum.

One of the major sights in old Havana. You can do a tour, which takes about half an hour and try the seven year old Havana rum on this tour. It is a nice activity, but not one of the highlights. Our guide at the museum was really good, but I guess for children it is probably not interesting

A nicely done museum in the former headquarters of Havana Club with many old pieces of antique machinery, displays of the different bottling through the history of the company , a large model of the old distillery with model trains and a bar gift shop area.

Nice museum! You learn about the history and "ancient" production procedure of Cuban ron. You can taste a ron 3 and 7 years at price of 3 and 4 CUC. Due to the increased visits of place, you should book earlier your visit. Inside the museum exist a shop with many variants of ron Havana Club.

A huge ripoff. For 7 CUC, I would expect a well-guided tour of a rum production facility. However, this museum only has models of the process. The guide explained nothing- he only translated the distilling terms into 10 different languages. At the end we got to try the 7-year rum, but instead of using the cool fancy glasses on the shelves, they gave us cheap plastic cups. The only thing that was well-done was the film on the history of rum in Cuba.

Like most of the tours in Havana except for our tour in a classic car, it was good, but also a little disappointing. Probably the best bit was sitting in the bar next to the museum and.drinking the 7 year old rum. You have to do it, but you may feel a little let down at the end of it.
