Calle El Telegrafo, Tegucigalpa, Honduras, La Paz
Museum dedicated to the history of Honduras & its people, housed in a 19th-century building.
Wow
The museum was closed and not open according to its website and googlemaps.
I tried to go on December 2, 2021 and there were security guards there to tell me it is closed due to the pandemic. Even the staff at the Gallery of Art across the street thought it was open.
Nice place. Cafeteria is a little pricey. Beautiful exhibitions, although a little small.
Heavy
Informative and interactive museum on the history of Honduras, including screenings of film Mayan culture with an emphasis on the civilization of Coban
The museum itself was amazing. But the street was very dark.
Amazing Museum!
So much to see and learn from this place with so much history about Honduras.i enjoy it every minute that I stayed at this museum.

Visit us...
Got some good collections of art work. In the middle of Tegucigalpa.
Ok
This is a perfect place to share with your family and friends unforgettable moments!
Great spot to learn about Honduras culture. I visited for a film screening and a catrina fair organized by the Mexican embassy. This is a nice venue for events and it was pretty safe.
Unfortunately, no special exhibitions opened, but it was still interesting.
There arent any guides available for foreigners
Great place to go.
Must go place in Honduras. Amazing architecture and lots of legens. Perfect weather!
Very nice, but very strange artwork.
Magical!
Beautiful place in the colonial center of Tegucigalpa! Dont miss it!
It was quite a nice museum. Worth a visit if you are in Tegucigalpa. The guide is included with the ticket price so please request one.
Not much going on, it would be depressing if this was all there was to a national identity
Wanny Angerer in Moving Cultures concert!! Great artist with a great heart!!!
Love the culture and all the events set here!
If you are in Tegucigalpa its a must place. They always surprise you with exhibitions that probably you wouldnt imagine, it is an important cultural place of our city.
Very beautiful, lots of art you would never expect to see great place for all ages
Its ok
The museum itself isnt worth the entrance fee, but the visiting exhibitions were good. Ask about the special exhibitions before you go in.
Great experience and a lot to learn! A must see downtown Tegucigalpa!
A great place to visit and see some art
Seems like its a great museum and many people recommended it to us. At the moment the main exhibit about the history of Honduras is closed. The two exhibitions although good in their own right do not justify the admission price. Check to see if the history exhibit is open before going in.
I visited today and while the permanent history exhibit was closed for renovations, there were two excellent exhibits or origami (with lempiras!and a series of Goya drawings. The best part of the museum was the guide who was so friendly and knowledge. Had a great chat with him. Plus there’s a great coffee shop in the museum. An absolute must-visit if you’re in Tegus/Honduras!!
A must if youre visiting Tegucigalpa. It has a beautiful and large history room that tells you everything you need to know about Honduras. You can even ask for a guide (for freethat will walk you through the whole museum. Concerts are periodically held in the middle of the building, the staff is young and extremely nice and always willing to help you. Theres also a cafe and a merch store.
Great museum
Excellente Cultural Place to visit and learn
One of the only museums in the capital. Includes a good café. Top cultural destination in Tegucigalpa.
Nice looking restored building, seemed like a good number of rooms were not being used during my visit. Historical wing on second floor was informative though.
Having different kind of activities, special exhibitions and different artists, for all kind of people lovely...
Great place to visit, great paintings and the history behind the building is awesome.
Attended a cocktail. Very nice!
Love it!
Great mueso right downtown. I would recommend it to anyone visiting tegus.
This is a very good place to have a look at the culture of Tegucigalpa. There is always something new to see here.
