All in all a beautiful museum. Also free entrance for people under the age of 25, so make use of it! I stayed around 2 hours and I would recommend to take that time since there is a lot to see. Also recommend to come alone; put your headphones in, put some chill tunes on and enjoy the art!

Specializes in Impressionism but much more than that. Loved the munch exhibit but it was very crowded as we went on the Thursday evening. Only day it stays open late. The ambiance of the old train station is also a unique aspect of this museum.

Clock facing Monte marte is the best. Amazing view and easy to create a silhouette of yourself. Easy to get around. Most impressions painting on top floor. Easy to walk. Not hard to get around. Lots of places to sit. Take your time and not feel rushed.

Musée dOrsay must be one of the first destinations in Paris to visit. Spare a reasonable time in this fantastic museum to inspire yourself with excellent paintings, sculptures, decorative arts, photography, and many more. Its just remarkable!

One of the famous museums in Paris. I went here on the first Sunday of the month and it was free to enter (they have information about it on the museum website and of course you need to book in advance). There are many visitors and it takes a long time to visit the entire museum, so it is recommended that you go in the morning or early afternoon if you want to visit all of this museum.P/s: Its a pity that some of Van Goghs works have been exhibited abroad, but there are still many of his works here.

Need less to explain about this museum as one of the best museum in Paris. It is recommended to purchase a ticket in advance as I had to wait on long cue for more than 30min and had a rain. The cue was much shorter if you have a ticket already. Apart from this, I enjoyed special exhibitions and also restaurant offer very tasty dishes with fairy reasonable price even I waited on the cue again. Enjoy yiur visit with making a plan.

Great museum in a wonderful old train station. The 5th floor was most post Impressionism and others but was packed. The second floor was closed. The first floor was great with statues , many works on each side and a good Edvard Munch exhibit. Well worth a visit.

Wonderful museum holding paintings, sculptures, and creations of world renowned artists. Definitely dont miss it if youre in Paris.Get the tickets online or Paris Museum pass to skip the long line. We went on a Thursday afternoon and it was way less crowded than the Louvre and it felt easier to stroll the museum more leisurely. Much smaller than the Louvre. We spent around 2 and a half hours here and enjoyed it a lot.

A beautiful museum in a beautiful building, this was our choice of one museum to visit during a short visit to Paris. We knew the Louvre would be overwhelming, so went here instead. Seeing me using a cane, the security guard allowed us to go in the exit and avoid the long line (Very nice of him). We spent a couple of hours exploring the museum and enjoying the great art here. The sculptures in the main hallway are spectacular, and the art in the other rooms were excellent. I completely enjoyed me visit here.

CURRENTLY HOSTING A MUNCH TEMPORARY EXHIBITION OCTOBER 2022!Always a joy for me to visit this amazing museum, the history of the building itself is enough to make it a must for tourists. The spaces are well divided, the staff present and fast, the prices are fair and the ticket is free up until you are 26 years old.Pay this gem a visit if you have time, you won’t regret it!

We enjoyed this so much. Make sure to book online. We got the audio guides but our kids did not like them as much. I thought they were worth it and learned a lot from the guide. Beautiful artwork and the lunch was pretty good as well. Worth it for the experience and in such a beautiful setting.

My #1 museum in the world. Ive been to this museum twice only and cant wait to go back again. I am a big fan of impressionism and this place is heaven for someone like me. This museum taught me lots of great painters and their beautiful paintings. Every time I go to Louvre, I feel like overwhelmed but this place just makes me happy. They also have a great French fine restaurant in the museum. You can have a great view of Paris from this museum. Dont miss the chance to take beautiful photos at this museum!(Pictures are from 2013 and 2018)

Really busy on Saturday. Maybe just best to avoid on weekends? Magnificent pieces and well organized. Definitely worth the visit. Put some good walking shoes on. You will definitely walk a lot. Please, if you are visiting a museum, there is no point in taking a selfie with a famous artwork.

They have a new ticket appointment system so lines arent so long. Its an incredible must see place. We only saw 3 floors in 2. 5 hours. Lived the Monet and Van Gogh of course but so much more. Loved the long legged cast the most.

This museum seems to be overshadowed by the Louvre, but for any fans of Impressionism this is the must visit. The 5th floor is an absolute must see for anyone visiting Paris. The building alone is worth the trip set in the old railway station. As an added benefit it is free entry on the first Sunday of every month. If you have a Paris pass you can skip the queues

Used to be a train station and is now an art gallery. They have some great pieces of art in their collection. The museum gets very busy and crowded inside. More so than the Louvre. They don’t allow you to bring your bags or backpacks in so you need to either rent a locker or check them in.

Fantastic museum with a breath-taking collection of masters of impressionism such as Monet, Manet, Degas, Renoir and many others. I personally really loved the realism section, the paintings are simply beautiful.Weve bought tickets online in advance which I recommend to do, because it saves you ages in the queue to buy them. The price for an adult was 16 EUR.The museum is quite spacious and well organised, and most of all, not crazy crowded. There is enough room and space to really enjoy it.There is also a boutique with crazy prices (25 EUR for an umbrella!), but otherwise the museum is absolutely worth paying a visit.

I took 3 photos, incidentally for personal reference later on degas and a bit of the architecture. I really didn’t want to waste hours trying to take photos for a review and or miss this experience when everyone else was rushing to do the same… This place is like museum heaven, it’s incredible and I hope I make it back some day. The layout and design is so unique and impressive, the collection is equally so. I can’t be sure how much of it is exhibition or resident but the Degas, Van Gogh, and Monet collections alone were worth it. There is a lot to see here and all against the backdrop of a beautiful modern building and cafe and restaurant and boutique etc. stands with or against any other museum in the world.

We visited the Musée dOrsay yesterday and we had a wonderful visit. We were not able to purchase a guided tour so we were on our own, but this did not hamper our enjoyment of the Musée dOrsay or the art it contained. The building was repurposed form a nearly destroyed palace to a train station and now a museum. The architecture of the building is beautiful and the art it contains is magnificent. We spent about 5 hours there and it was very enjoyable. We could easily have spent several days! We will come back and visit again and recommend the museum to others.

If you’re at least a bit interested in French art, it’s definitely a place you should look into. The museum is filled with paintings and sculptures from famous artists. Everything is nicely spread out across the hall, which in itself is already a work of art. The only bad thing I could think of are huge crowds, but if you are fine with it, it’s a great experience.

Beautiful museum. Id recommend just going to level 5 to see the big artists first. I spent 2 hours trying to figure out an audio guide on level 1 before ditching it. The maps are pretty good, but English isnt really in English, so just use it for the floor plan and the pictures.Only comment is there needs to be more seating to view the works - but thats just a little note for those who spend all day at galleries like I do

The building itself is a pure art. The museum mostly focused on Impressionism, however, it’s worth visiting even if you are not a big fan of it. I would inly recommend to start with 5th floor as its super crowded (because it is full of must-see paintingsand you will spend most over time on that floor. Otherwise, you may be pretty tired and drained by the moment you get there

The Musée dOrsay was phenomenal, one of my favorite museums in Paris. Their collection is world renowned and the atmosphere is relaxed for just a nice day taking your time enjoying the art. Not to mention the restaurant inside had one of the best chicken caesar salads Ive had, and outstanding service. Plus, the dining room was breathtaking it was like dining in art. I would definitely recommend spending a day at the Musée dOrsay.

Amazing experience and a must see when visiting Paris. Its the #2 museum, I believe, within the city. HIGHLY RECOMMEND a guided tour. And highly encourage a live guided tour, not the audio tour. Preferably through airbnb tours or the like.

Great collection of artists youve always wanted to see and those that you never knew youd like. Not to mention the fact that its inside a very cool architectural update to an old train station. If you do a quick run through if say to give it 2 or so hours. If you really want to see every inch of everything, then youd probably better plan on 4 (or more if you like to linger).

To crowded during this part of the year with holidays there are a lot of people. The guided tours make a stuck in the main spotlights. General terms the museum is really impressive with a lot of art pieces of sculpture and paint. Strongly recommend start with the level 1 and 2, temporally exhibitions are located at levels 5 and 6.

Stunning collection of my favorite impressionists. I need to come here every time I’m in Paris.Book your entrance ticket online and you will safe good 30-45 minutes in the queue.TIP: And avoid July/August if you can. First time here for me during high season and amount of people is enormous. Makes it hard to enjoy the museum vibe.

Amazing museum. But it was frustrating to see that it gets opened only in the afternoon. I am not sure all the timings but yesterday it was only in the afternoon. Too much crowd in these COVID days. I felt very scared about catching Covid. Great pieces of artwork. Well preserved and being maintained. One should not miss the details of how modern Paris planning was done 200 years back. Excellent prototype of Opera house which no one should miss. Again, here too all the artworks do not have English explanations against every artwork. Very frustrating as we do not understand French. Authorities may want to promote French language but not having the details in English shows the authorities very poor vision.

Amazing museum and I don’t really like museums.Recommend a skip the line, timed entry. The queue otherwise is long and in the sun.Set in an old train station, the entrance is worth it just to see the interior. Skip to the 5th floor and see some one of the most amazing collections of impressionist and post-impressionist art in the world. It does get crowded and it is a little warm, but worth it in my opinion.

An iconic stop in Paris and you should really set aside many hours here if you are an art history person! The building itself is gorgeous! Spend time getting to see the different floors and if you go in the summer months, go earlier in the day and start upstairs since it gets quite warm inside.

They are all collections of modern art. Van Goghs paintings are on the fifth floor, which is the most popular. There is also a big clock on the fifth floor, which is a good place to take pictures. However, at the Musée dOrsay, what attracted me the most was Millers famous painting Gleaners. This is a masterpiece that I have longed for since I was a child in art class. I want to hang it in my bedroom bedside and see it every day when I wake up...

Wonderful, mesmerising, absolutely astonishing museum/art gallery. Well worth the visit, these paintings inspire. Would recommend the audio guide to provide the history and additional detail about the paintings.Do reserve a time slot and make sure that you’re on time for it. Make sure you have several hours to spend exploring this museum. And don’t view the entire museum through your camera lens. Admire the paintings and live in the moment.

So the museum is one of the most important museums in Paris, the art it houses its impressive and you can see many important artists. But… why did they sell so many tickets? It was hard to move from one room to the other, it was super crowded and it was so hard to really appreciate the art, apparently covid is over huh?Tip: go as soon as it opens, maybe that way you’ll see the museum with less people… I went late and was a complete chaos.

As an art history lover, this is the best museum I’ve ever been! A quick note on the navigation, follow the room numbers on the museum plan. You’ll need to start from Floor 0 and then continue with 5, then 2. This way you’ll see the works in chronological order ☝️

It does not disappoint. My favorite floor was obviously the fifth but there is so much more as well. I had been reading about these paintings for twenty years but to get to see them in person is so different. It felt surreal and I love the layout of the museum and the friendly staff made it feel all the more dream like to me. Just standing in such close proximity to these beautiful pieces of art, that have inspired people for so many years, it was honestly hard to leave. Luckily there are lots of comfortable places to sit and although it’s a busy place for the most part, we felt like we weren’t rushed or that we couldn’t see what we wanted to see. All of the tags are in English and French, and their are English and other language maps available for the whole museum.

Another museum we visited with an audio guide. We enjoyed a late lunch within the beautiful cafe located on the higher floors of the museum and staff were very polite. There were all sorts of work on display but I was most excited to see Van Gogh (Ive visited the other galleries around the world that display his workThere was also a Yves Saint Laurent exhibition. The beautiful clock face was also a highlight. There was a range of bathroom facilities including those for disable access.

One of my favorite museums in Paris for the temporary and regular exhibitions. The diversity of the collections is simply impressive. Another interesting side is the architecture of the museum. Last and not least the unique restaurant which is a regular step in every visit I do to this place. The view is stunning, the interior is so rich (ceilings, walls,…). I recommend this place with no hesitation!

What an amazing museum. The architecture of the railroad station is a stunning setting for a “modern art” gallery. We were visiting on a Sunday so we started early at 10am. By midday the place was getting pretty busy. I’m glad we got the place to Preakness for a couple of hours. The temporary exhibit about the early years of cinema was really eye opening and beautifully presented. I’ve attached some photos of my favourite pieces.
