Our favorite place to get sushi in Chinatown. Big bonus is they offer miso soup with the sushi!!! Service is great and the food is super yummy.

Owner was super nice, serving size was generous, everything tasted fresh, would recommend if in the area :)

First time here. Came here after my daughters neurologist appointment. So far so good. The Gyoza are absolute fire 🔥.

I’m not one to write a bad review, but this was a whole new level of bad. The rice was unseasoned and tasted off. The fish was super fishy and just did not taste right and had an odd texture. I couldn’t bite through the piece of mackerel bc it was so tough, which is absolutely not the expected texture. I ordered the salmon roll, tuna roll, mackerel sushi and veggie roll and they were all very bad. The veggie roll would have been kind of ok if I could get over the weird tasting rice.

Food quality is quite bad. The fish not only didn’t taste fresh, but also tastes stale and dried out at the edge… the ginger served with wasabi tasted spoiled… The restaurant was very empty during the dinner time we visited (6pm to 7:30pm)… guess that’s a bad sign.. we have been to other musashis on the east side and have tried the exact dish… this one is far worse..

This may be the best sushi experience Ive ever had. I think the roll I had was called Exit Seattle? Also, they have tons of local show posters on the wall to get your cultural fix. Top notch

Very mediocre is all I can say. It is a nice little place nothing fancy but pleasant. The menu had lots of options for sushi and chirashi. The miso soup was mediocre and not particularly hot. The fish was OK, better than most grocery store sushi but not great. Serving size was very generous. $22 for a good sized chirashi bowl and the same for a standard lunch sushi set with 7 (or 8large pieces of nigiri and a roll (miso soup not included). This was mid summer and I would have expected the salmon to have been better.

Expensive and low quality sushi. I got chirashi bowl, eel and tea. I paid total 33 USD. I went around 1 pm and There was only one another customer. I went this place thinking it is similar to one in University district but quality doesn’t match. They accept credit card.

Pretty B-class. Got the assorted nigiri plate and Alaska roll (salmon on Cali). Cant taste the crab behind the mayo in their Cali. I dont know when their fish shipments are, but I had to spit out the yellowtail because it went mackerel-level briny (went on a Tuesday). Feels like they hide the age of their fish by searing it. The sushi rice flavor and consistency was on point though.Found the restaurant by typing in "cheap sushi". Tip of the day: dont nigiri where you should bento

The storefront was not very appealing but Im glad we went in anyway because the interior had the clean and unassuming appearance reminiscent of small family-operated restaurants throughout Japan, and the food and service were outstanding. I had the sukiyaki bowl and found flavor and texture to be perfect, including the rice. The salad dressing was refreshing and just right - not too watery, not overbearing, served over simple but fresh and crisp lettuce leaves and carrot strings (all cut to a comfy bite size). I didnt try the sushi but it looked fresh and cut generously, and my companion (Japanesesaid that the rice was a little stickier to describe as ideal but still good, especially considering that 3 hungry people had plenty to eat including one large bottled beer and a takoyaki appetizer for just over 80 USD before gratuity. I generally dont eat tako because theyre so darn adorable and smart, but I had one just to be polite then two more because lets face it, when done right they are tastier than they are cute.Wait time was remarkably short and the serrvice was prompt and accurate, and our server even poured my beer, both when she first brought it and when she noticed my glass getting low.I hope to eat there again.

Notice that all the good reviews are from years ago. Maybe this place was good at some point, but now, I would absolutely steer clear.Food was not good. Nigiri was maybe okay. Passable, but not satisfying. Tempura lacked flavor and some items were unpleasantly mushy. Salad consists of pieces of iceberg in a watery dressing.Low-key prejudiced too? *Some* people got a warm greeting at the door, were escorted to a table and offered hot tea. And *some* people were treated with bare minimum acknowledgment. I wouldn’t classify it as rude; it’s just disappointing behavior in 2022.

Fresh tasty California roll and shrimp tempura.

Chicken bento had chicken teriyaki, rice, tempura, gyoza, California roll, and green salad. Nice variety, very fresh, and tasted great. California roll was freshly made and had not been refrigerated - I hate cold and hard rice on sushi!

Obviously this place doesnt care about its reputation. Theres no greeting from the waitres. She was upset snd annoyed from the beginning to end. She claimed she was the owner and pushed us to order food. Even though we both communicated in English， she still told my friend to translate her words for me just because there was a mistake on her menu, she put the blame on me for ordering that fish that doesnt exist. I said maybe you can be nicer. Guess what she said? You guys can leave if unhappy. Wowowow, what a rude and contemptuous boss! Obviously she has no management skills or any service training. Maybe you are the boss of your employees but not mine. What you do will only hurt your business in a long term. I dont recommend anyone going there.

I would give 0 if I could. We three left without eating because the waitress was so rude. She had this impatient look on her face from the moment we entered the restaurant. She grew grumpy when I was ordering food maybe because I made her wait for a few seconds. I said maybe you could be nicer to your customers. She said we could leave anytime. I said I needed to talk to your boss. She said at your pleasure. The funny thing is after looking around the restaurant, it turned out she was the manager. OMG 😳 How can such a rude and unprofessional person be the boss? No wonder I dont see any customers there. So we left without having anything. But Im glad we did because we found a. better one later

While this may seem like good value place for any foreigner, take the word of an asian foodie accustomed to japanese cuisine- its probably best to stay away from this place. They get some things right but also a lot lot wrong. Many tastier and better value options exist.

Very good sushi for a good price. The rule of thumb, "Follow the locals," applies here. Musashis is take out only on Friday nights, and there was a steady stream in and out.

Dropped by before a show. Food was great, good price for sushi and the staff was very friendly. Looking forward to next time.

It’s so amazing! At first glance I thought it’s just a chirashi bowl, but after digging in-look how the rice is topped with pickled daikon and rice topping! It’s a pleasant surprise for sure! Will definitely return for more menu items!

The place was really nice, clean and conviently place to the downtown international district.The spider roll I got was delicious. There was nothing bad I could say about how the roll tasted. I will say that these are basically one bite pieces, since if you try to eat them with two bites, the seaweed will not split nicely.I only ordered the one roll since I only wanted a snack, but if I had to go again and get a meal, I wouldve bought the salmon collar meal. Was able to try it when a companion ordered it and it was amazing. So tender and fatty, with a touch of smoky flavor.

High quality sushi at a very affordable price. Service was extremely good, staff are very friendly. I would give it 5 stars if they served cold sake. Highly recommend this place, I would definitely come back the next time Im in Seattle.

The sushi was very good and fresh, and I can say that confidently coming from someplace that doesnt have quality sushi. So, so good. But thats honestly not the biggest draw for me. The woman who served my friend and I was so kind and personable. She was a ray of sunshine, and it brightened up my day. If I ever come back to Seattle, I feel confident that Id want to visit again.

When craving for fresh and affordable raw fish, I will go to Musashi’s. I always order the Chirashi bowl. For about 21 dollars, I got satisfying portion of tuna, salmon, yellowtail, etc. If there is certain fish you don’t like, you can ask to substitute.

Ordered Chicken Karaage, Udon (with shrimp tempuraand Agedashi Tofu.Karaage: supposed to be bitesize, but I found it way smaller than bitesize 🤪, and did you put wasabi in the spicy mayo? Coz I tasted it a little bit.Udon: texture of the noodles and the broth/soup were perfect, what was bothering is the shrimp tempura was actually a shrimp katsu as they use bread crumb to fry the shrimp. Tempura supposed to be light battered not crumbed.Agedashi tofu: the tofu was perfectly fried, the sauce also delicious, what was missing were bonito flake (katsuobushi), grated radish and ginger (I’m not sure because I did not taste the ginger)

Got the chirashi bowl which was very good! The calamari uses squid legs not rings of the body which was actually really tasty.

Ive been a fan of Musashis for a long while. My favorite is still the unagi and eel based foods. The rolls are huge!

If you love fresh flavorful raw fish....look no further. This place is amazing. Even the rice is magical!!

Everybody’s talking about their Chirashi Bowl although the other Bowl Menus are also awesome. My favorite is actually the Unadon (Grilled Unagi on Ricefor about $19 and Sukiyaki Beef Bowl for about $13.My kids love the Onigiri with Salmon (about $4), they always have it with Miso Soup. The sushi is also delicious! For a great price, this is one of my favorite Japanese restaurants in Seattle.

Sushi is reasonably priced and but not that good. Serving sizes are large! Chicken curry wasn’t my favorite: it kind of tasted like lentil soup, which might be what it’s supposed to taste like. Our order was to-go and they sandwiched our sushi between 2 hot items in the bag, which isn’t ideal.

Great quality sushi, takoyaki, and tempura. Definitely enjoyed, will come again.

Very affordable. Fresh and delicious. Bathrooms are quite unkept but that’s not the reason for going here. Find chic elsewhere. Find satisfaction here.

For the price, this place is toe to toe one of the best sushi/sashimi places in Seattle. Its $16 for a PACKED chirashi bowl (this time we got all salmon... Although if they had ikura itd be even betterand like $6 for a full California roll. The have reasonable prices on all their things and things come out fast. Highly recommend.

Family friendly great sushi on the cheap, definitely worth a visit!

So glad they opened up in Seattle - I used to drive super fast over to Bellevue on my lunch hour just to get a Musashi chirashi bowl, and now its so much closer. I love their super fresh sushi, sashimi and, well, the chirashi bowls are amazing. Plus theres always hot tea waiting for me on the table- hooray!

Great food! We had the teriyaki chicken and Fresh Salmon rolls. Very clean tasting and delicious. The restaurant is incredibly clean and staff is nice.

Fish was mostly fresh but tuna tasted a little fishy. Eel was fatty. No sweet egg nor mushrooms nor anything else other than meat. Next time Ill go somewhere where I can pay five dollars more and get better quality.

Very good affordable option for sushi. Simple menu and lots of simple rolls but the quality is wonderful and the rolls are flavorful enough without all the extra toppings. Skewers and seaweed salad were great too.

Nice, welcoming and friendly staff. I ordered sushi to go. I even requested it without a certain ingredient and they had no problem with it. Tasted fresh and delicious! Great prices too. There was tea for us to enjoy while we waited for our order. Recommended!Update: We dined in on a Tuesday evening. The place was not busy. Our food arrived quickly. Our waiter was very friendly. The sushis were yummy as usual!

Musashis had a good atmosphere. They were not too busy on a Wednesday night, and the servers were available. My server seemed to be in training, but she was supported by the other server. The food was excellent. I really liked the Chirashi bowl and the fish tasted fresh. The rice was a little sticky, but it tasted fine and the stickiness made it easy to eat with chopsticks.

Got the chirashi bowl with a smoked salmon roll. The fish portions were generous and they offer free miso soup.

As a huge fan of Hamachi Kama, I would say this restaurant really offers a valuable and taste plate.

I showed up at 11:30 to a quiet seating area. Seating is Japanese style (grab whatever open seats you seeand soup and tea are included. I ordered their nigiri lunch plate and within 5 minutes they brought out delicious, fresh sushi. I had eaten and paid by 11:45 and stepped out the door. Definitely recommend them for a reasonably priced sushi outing.

I always get the Chirashi bowl. The fish tastes very fresh especially the salmon. The sushi seems okay to me. Waiting staff are very kind and nice. The only thing that seems a little insufficient is that there needs to be much more warm items on the menu.

$21 dollars for a chirashi meal, 1 extra rollwith miso soup and free hot tea. Not bad for a price like this.
