Mundi Mundi Lookout - Tourist attraction in Broken Hill, Australia
Wind swept, edge of the plains lookout where you can see the Flinders Ranges on a clear day
Very scenic and desolate place. Loved the view. We were lucky cuz there was only 1 car woth us so not to many people. I imagine the view would be much more dramtic during sunset or sunrise and in summer.
Sensational sunset from the lookout.
Panorama views from here
What ever u do - don’t misss this -Special spectacular magnificentBeautiful 😻
Amazing sunset. It surprised me how many left straight after sunset. The best bit happens 30m later.
Not the best conditions for sunset photography, but worth the visit.
So pretty
Well worth the drive as an amazing panorama. Due to recent wet periods the plain was green not red dust as in Mad Max
Mundi Mundi Lookout is simply breathtaking. You wont see a panorama of picturesque hills or mountains or sand dunes, but what will hit you, or it should, is an idea of how big and amazingly diverse our country of Australia is. A cloudless sky (well, it was), clear air and an endless (believe it or notGREEN plain in front, yet to the right, wind turbines. I dont mind that. It helps you realise that there is a resource out here that, through our national Grid supplies power to remote areas or wherever the controllers want to send the electrons. And for you flat-earthers...its definitely curved. Love this country.
you need to see this spot to believe the view
The place where parts of Mad Max 2 was filmed.
Amazing lookout that you can see the curvature of the Earth. Whilst it may seem like nothing is out there, the sheer size of the surrounding land puts into perspective how incredible our country is.
Good place for look out for rear portion of broken hills.
Unforgettable epic sunset over the vast land. Be cautious of driving at dusk as wallabies could jump out.
Absolute must see sunset. Interesting information about Mad Max 2 being filmed around there.
What a place, beautiful spot for sun set photos . The sky gets even better for the following 20 min
Been in more movies & tv add, s world screens.. A place of natural beauty sun set or view the nights stars.
Very relaxing gazing across the undulating plains. Even the wind farm in the distance adds an industrial beauty to the backdrop. Will have to come here during sunset which Im told is beautiful!
If you travel to Broken Hill then make sure you visit Silverton. Mund Mundi Lookout is 5 minutes out of town. Worth a look to observe curvature of the earth.
Amazing lookout just a few minutes drive from silverton. Recommend to go either at sunrise or sunset for stunning views.
Great view all around, worth a visit for a photo opportunities.
Amazing spot for sunset ;but get busy sometimes
Stunning vista, though I couldnt see the curve of the earth as Id been told you could.
Cloudy sky so we never really got to appreciate the full effect. There is nothing at this lookout just a dirt area to part.
Stunning views across the desert.
Absolutley epic. The aura of Mad Max and the incredible sunsets is a pilgrimage everyone should experience.
Amazing spot for expansive Outback views and the sunset. Also great for stargazing if you stick around and wait for the dark.
Absolutely stunning views across the desert.
Sunset at Mundi Mundi is a must do at Silverton. Dont forget you wine.
An absolute must if you ever visit the Broken Hill area.Located 28klm from Broken Hill, the Mundi Lundi lookout showcases the desolate beauty of outback Australia. Overlooking the pastoral lands of Mundi Mundi station, this scenery has been made famous by Mad Max 2, and Mission Impossible.Sunsets here are simply sublime as you watch the sun slide silently below the horizon, and highlights the redness of the desert.Has to be seen to believed.
Didn’t manage to see the sunset view because of the clouds.
Great spot to watch the sunset. Get there about 30mins early to enjoy the change in light
Awesome vista, the sheer vastness and emptiness of the outback is breathtaking.
One of the best places to see the Sun set in NSW.. Well worth the effort to get there...
Memories of Mad Max 2 came flooding back. Some iconic scenes were filmed here. The view goes on forever
This place has a fabulous view across the desert plains. Its not far from Silverton and is well worth the trip.
Just a few minutes up the road from Silverton, this lookout gives you a view to the great expansive aussie outback. We were lucky enough to see many dust devils form right before our eyes!
A fantastic site to watch the sunset.Phone reception is also available on a 100m section about 500m on towards Silverton, looks for a high spot and gravel area on a curve.
Loved it here, alot if nothingness as far as eye can see,if you dont look behind you at the windfarm🙂
Stunning sunsets and viewsActual colours no filters. Taken with Samsung galaxy S9+
if you want to see a dry dusty nothing with some hills far into the horizon you got it. There is a plaque here, not sure story.
A MUST visit if you’re in Silverton! The views are spectacular. I’ve never seen anything quite like this in my life. You can see miles and miles in almost every direction.
What a view... you can almost see into the never never. Well worth the drive. My wife found a Florin 1946 in a place where nobody would have been for years. Her own piece of silver.
Have made the journey from Geelong to here a couple of times now, something so magical and other worldly about this place. Definitely come for the sunset, hopefully it’s a mostly clear sky, bring your camera and enjoy the free natural show.Keep an eye out for the Road Warrior Max.
A beautiful sunset lookout... the best view to be seen. Beautiful photo opportunities and is better to go than looking at the sunset from the living dessert as the whole area is clear.
Our Patrol provided a table on the bull bar for sparkling and nibbles as we watched the sunset.
Amazing. A must see for sunset if youre in town. Stay after the sun has set to see the spectacular colours.
Interesting you could see all around it is 14k from South Australia
Great lookout for sunset. Not exactly romantic as it can get busy. Very special..
