Be warned. If you go on a windy day you will likely get splashed with quite a bit of rain. Otherwise it was absolutely beautiful! Worth seeing and visiting!

Very beautiful place. When we were there, the wind was so strong that can blow us away. waterfalls became waterup.Rain on and off with the super strong wind, just a very good experience.

When we landed and collected our rental car, the weather was surprisingly sunny so we decided to make the 20 minute drive here. This place is cool!Parking: There was a parking lot in the actual town, as well as toilets. There was also some parking near the trailhead on the side of the road. No one seemed to regulate. The path down to the viewing area is only ~5 minutes from the main road and not strenuous. From here, you can cross a bridge over the stream and follow the path to climb up the gentle hill to get a better view of the valley and ocean. The path circles back to town.

Beautiful views. It was raining and that impacted visibility but still it is a wonderful place and must be visited. Best to carry a GOOD camera for best results.

A very short drive from the airport, we stopped here right after collecting our rental car. Very rewarding views and a wonderful start of our visit to the Faroe Islands. You can do a short hike up to a ridge above.

One of the most iconic landmark in all of the Faroe Islands, and it really felt like being a fairytale! We got so lucky that the weather was absolutely beautiful, as the colors just popped up against each other! Couldnt have asked for a better place to hit my #135 country visited!

Super thankful that the hike around the falls and Gasadular is free. Its well worth the time to check out and is very easy to do.The falls themselves had the lower rocky section closed off to visitors when we visited. It can get fairly windy and its good to visit on a good visibility day so check the weather before coming. The tunnel to get here is fairly narrow so drive safely.Theres free toilets 400m in Gasadular and is fairly clean. Theres also a cafe thats open until 4pm.

An epic place, dont forget to hike the postmans trail, before the tunnel turn left into a bumpy road about 200meter. The hiked is marked and is about 6km over the mountain with amazing views over the gasadalur village and drangamir and tindholmur.

Spectacular waterfall, one of the main sights of the Faroe Islands. If youve driving, take it steady in the one-lane tunnel. If youre going by public transport like me,. watch out that not all buses continue to Gasadalur unless you request the journey in advance.

The iconic view of the Faroes, and a perfect trip primer if you need to kill some time after landing at FAE and before taking the tunnel to Streymoy. Short gravel path from the road (5 minutes or less). The best view is at the end of the path right before the precipitous stairs.

Nothing to say but wow at this place. If you can, make multiple trips here at different times of day and in different weather conditions. The photos you get will be extremely memorable. Make sure you walk down the path to the other viewing area. And for those not nervous of heights, the concrete stairs down to the rocks is very accessable and provides an amazing photo opportunity as well

One of the most iconic spots on the Faroes. Very famous shots taken here - but you have to know that nowadays the spots with the best photographic compositions are closed to the public. And as serious photographers we simply dont trespass! Our images were taken on a day with the worst possible weather and no trespassing and yet it still looks nice ;-)

Before visit Faroe Islands look for informations on Faroe dolphins slaughter, very common hobby here, you will have lot of fun. Do you really want to give your money to these beasts?

On our way back to the airport, we went in a little detour which was worth every second. The short walk from the village center was cool and windy, but fun. Nothing prepared us for the breathtaking view, though. The cliffs opposite the waterfall were also amazing! Do it!

The Faroe Islands offer up dramatic vistas by the bucket load, but this one makes most of them look ordinary.

This waterfall was beautiful to visit, even during the winter months. Very close to the town of Sørvágur and an easy drive with a really cool tunnel you pass through, incredible views, and lots of sheep roaming around. (Prepare to get your camera wet if there is any wind!)

Must see iconic place. Wind can blow your hat away but it also makes waterfall going up. View doesnt get boring, I promise.Getting there is possible by car(due to a 1,7 km dark tunnel you cant cross by footor super dangerous hike, which I wouldnt recommend after rain or snow.

One of the most iconic sights to see on the Faroe Islands. Especially with being able to drive right up to it. There isnt a lot of parking at the entrance to walking in you just kind of have to find a spot on the on the side of the road.

Great view. I recommend also doing the trek from Bour to Gasadalur, which took us around an hour and a half one way. The view on the waterfall is even better from there and you can experience how the citizens of Gasadalur got there before the tunnel was drilled in 2006.

Beautiful waterfall in a stunning setting. You dont have to walk very far from the parking lot to get a great view of this beautiful waterfall - the stream/river that creates this waterfall is actually not that big but it is not that very often that you get waterfalls that cascades directly into the ocean. Well worth a visit and the drive there is also quite scenic!

Absolutely love this waterfall with its picturesque back drop of a small village and its remote access. Can get touristy and of course is way over shot on Instagram but is still beautiful.

Absolutely magnificent! For the intrepid there is a hike starting about 700m in front of the tunnel to Gásaldur which goes up the hill to have an amazing view on the cliff and then ends at the Múlafossur waterfall. Takes about 3 hours one way. Recommended!

Get an early start and arrive before the tour buses arrive. It’s a quick 5 min walk from the small parking lot and the village itself is nice and quaint as well. Worth a walk around. Please be mindful that there are people living there. I’m always shocked when I see people poking cameras into the windows of a house.

Beautiful place. Drive there first thing after leaving the airport in the afternoon. The option to walk over the hill wasnt there due to snow - sounds precarious at the best of times. A lovely village with the classic waterfall view that everyone goes for. A nice short walk around the clifftops and village waymarked with yellow and red posts leads to an exposed bench with a stunning view out towards Mykines. A trip well worth taking. Quiet when I was there as it was late afternoon in early spring. Cafe in the village.
