Mulaberg Bistro & Bar in Akureyri

We showed up late, around 9:45pm and they were still serving food (until 11pm). The service was wonderful. Our server explained what was in each dish when he brought it over and was friendly. The food was AMAZING. It was the best dinner Ive had so far in Iceland. I highly recommend the bacon wrapped dates and the cod!

Absolutely amazing place with high quality food, tried a lot of dishes, the steak was fantastic, the bone marrow was amazing, we had a table and when we asked to change it because it was looking at the service area , they gave us an amazing table , highly recommended

We had the six course chef:s surprise set menu. It was incredible and I definitely think the chef deserves a Michelin star. We came back for appetizers and drinks and the bartender here has created his own drinks which are outstanding in flavor and balance. If we are ever in Iceland again we would definitely make this a sure stop!

God mat, men hadde forventet mer. Torsken var ok. De to andre som hadde torsk, syntes den var veldig god, så mulig min bit ikke var den ferskeste? Godt tilbehør, men lurt å bestille mer tilbehør, for eksempel sopp. Super service.

The strawberry highball was fab, didn’t find anything I want to eat on the dinner menu so didn’t try the food, but will definitely come back for the drinks!

Inconsistent food depending upon whos working the kitchen. Todays was mediocre food reheated and served lukewarm.

Ymir is the best bartender in Iceland. We definitely recommend going and see him work his magic behind the bar. We had the surprise tasting for dinner and it was amazing! We will definitely go back on our next trip to Iceland.

Really great food and service. Scallops were fresh and tender. Arctic char was the best Ive had, very flavorful and buttery.Recommend not eating too much of the bread, very delicious though, as portions are quite large.

Most expensive restaurant we went to in Iceland and was worth every Krona. We stayed at the hotel which was very nice. Akureyri is an Iceland oasis. Very special.

Really cool vibe here! Sit in the library seating area. The food is really playful and good. We did the bar and bistro menu and the cocktails and good were both delicious!

Best meal so far during this visit to Iceland

Pretty average experience given the high rating of the place. Our dishes arrived cold (even the chips!and the food was bland and overrated. Cocktails were the only strong point - Id go for a drink and avoid the food.

Loved this place - it was actually one of the only places that were open late, thank god. Pricing normal for Iceland. Very nice music, very friendly staff.

Tried it for lunch. The food was amazing, the lunch menu included a soup, bread and butter and plate fish or ribs but this is different every day. The fish came with creamish sauce, veggies and prawns. The ribs came with homemade chips, garlic mayo and salad. The sizes are quite big and both dishes were really delicious :Costs: 1990 isk per dish, soup and bread free with the lunch menu.

Great service, amazing lunch menu at fair prices, compared with all the other restaurants in town and rest of Iceland in general. Paid about 4000 for 2 course meal for 2 with water only, no other drinks included. Very friendly staff. Recommended.
