Muglia 2 - Indian restaurant in Granada, Spain
Great, seemingly authentic Indian food in the heart of Granada!
Good food, friendly waiters, highly recommended!
Found this restaurant on google for a break from tapas. Great service and the food spicing and temperature was on point. Definitely recommend!
Good food, authentic Indian flavors and dishes. Was delighted to have it after a long trip with minimal vegetarian options
Cheap and tasty. Their chicken tikka masala was delish!PS: Theres another Muglia restaurant next to Plaza de Gracia.
I didnt even try the food. The attitude of the owner was horrible. We kept waiting and standing.. But owner kept on phone.. He even noticed us.. Still didnt even offer to sit. Would not recommend to anyone.. Forget how the food will taste when attitude is so horrible. They dont even deserve any star.
I fee sick after eating food here…Not ood quality..warning..please avoid
Wonderful Indian food. High quality ingredients in their cooking. Also, somehow their bottle water is the best water we’ve ever tasted. We eat here regularly.
The restaurant was a bit hard to find, the inside was quite spacious. We had Chicken Tikka and Sag Paneer, both with rice. Everything tasted as expected, no bad surprises here. Can recommend this restaurant!
Lovely staff, decent enough interior for a mainland European Indian restaurant (things we were doing in the UK in the 80sbut the food was a let down really. Poor flavours and the chicken in my curry was most definitely pre-cooked and added to a warmed up sauce. It’s probably as good as it gets for this part of the world. Big plus is the portion size…. Huge!!
Have these guys ever been to India? Or even an Indian kitchen? I will question that, terrible meal, curry with condensed milk, come on. Onion Baji absolute , well my words cant describe, keema nan looked and tasted like sick, most disgusting meal ever experienced, never again and hopefully anyones that reads this will stay clear.
Good food. Clean place for dinner, delicious and reasonable. Will come again.
Fantastic food and cheap prices. Rations are quite large.Overall a pretty genuine experience. The one thing Id drastically improve is their service on the phone.
Ordered through glovo. Loved the chicken curry, the sauce was delicious. The basmati rice was very tasty as well, and so was the naan bread. Big portions and decent prices. A great option in Granada for Indian food.
Great choice of meals, great quality, fair price. English spoken. Bit disappointed there was no indian beer! Returning very soon
We really enjoyed our meal the other night at Muglia 2. I’ve been many times before over many years, but noticed that the restaurant has had a facelift and seemed extremely clean. The food was better than before with possibly the best vegetable samosas I’ve ever tasted. The king prawn curry and spinach side dish were superb and the staff attentive without being in any way overbearing. Completely charming in fact. Masks were worn as a matter of course and the air con was a real blessing on a humid night. I can recommend this restaurant wholeheartedly, but do remember to take your smart phone with you as there are no menus only QR codes. More hygienic.....
i have had biryani from all over the world (pakistan, usa, france, indiaand for some reason this was the BEST ONE ever. and it’s crazy to think, that of all places, it was in Granada, spin. the curry they give you with the biryani was the first time i’ve seen someone do that, but it worked sooo well. i still dream about every now and then and why thought I should leave a review for it. If the nice owners are reading, please reach out to me about the recipe lol. I wish you success and hope I can come back w a family of my own in a couple years. Best Wishes!
Excellent food served by very pleasant staff, great Irish coffee .
Weak Service, weak Curry, empty restaurant. Meat was almost Cold and had barely taste when it got Served. Not trusting this Restaurant.
Wonderful indian food.Nice indian food.Perfect vegetarian food for the Indian vegetarians. And of course the non vegetarian is also delicious.
Very nice experience, actual indian food and Indian atmo. The spiciness was perfect, not much to confuse the taste of food not too low.Fresh ingredients, nice staff and price proportioned with portions and quality.Toilets are clean, staff is amazing and despite a little misunderstanding with the waiter (request one "suave" dish and got a super spicy one LoLI must recommend it 5 starsThanks guys! If Id pass by Granada again I would totally come again(Kebab Seekh is a great new experience of kebab, also try Gambas with spinach for the Supreme experience)Raccomando 5 stelle, esperienza sublimeOttimo cibo, personale competente.Attenti col piccante, se non siete abituati andateci piano
All family members including our 5 year old are big fans of Indian food. I cannot understand why this restaurant is rated so high, it clearly belongs to the worst 2 or 3 Indian restaurants we have ever tried! I would have given 2 stars but need to subtract one for the sneaky waiter. When we asked for a large bottle of water, he told us, he only had small bottles, so he could sell us 4 small bottles of water at a higher price. Ten minutes later some other guests arrived and he had large water bottles.
Best Indian restaurant in spain. The best thing is, they did not change the indian dishes as per European taste. So, if you are an Indian and tired of European foods after a long travel, this is the place you should visit.
Superb food... We reached the restaurant at 11:45 and still they served us the food happily. Nice staff and cozy atmosphere.
Wonderful food. We were visiting Granada and were looking for some spice in our dinner - after 4 days of Spanish tapas, our palate was searching for some spice and flavor. Muglia came to the rescue. The proprietor (Husseinwas very warm and welcoming, and the food was great. We had the Butter Chicken, Naan, Daal Tarka and Rice. Along with some local beer. A welcome culinary stop in our travels through Spain. Highly recommend a visit.
This is my favorite restaurant in Granada. My son, his fiancée and I have a meal here almost everyday. It is the best Indian restaurant that I have eaten at, which include some excellent ones in the US, Paris and London. The chicken butter is great. My favorite dishes include the egg plant dish, Dal Tarka, and Black Beans.
Amazing food, reasonable price, great location! The restaurant had only one waiter and he did a great job! Highly recommend.
Had the vindaloo curry with rice and it was really nice. - 20% for students too which I thought was great given Granadas high intake of Erasmus+ students. Will be back!
Food was great. Delicious. Not too spicy. Staff was friendly. Overall, a good experience and recommendation.
Halaal food? Yes. We confirmed it with the owner (Mr. Jawadand their waiters; Allah knows the best. Food is a bit expensive but acceptable....Menu offers a variety of veg n non-veg items... quite comfortable with the cuisine and didnt find much difference between muglia 1 and 2. Was my permanent destination for dinner during my stay in GRX for 10 days. Recommended few of my Indian colleagues visiting GRX.................................................................................................................................................................................................MW..............................................................................................................................................................................................
Tasty Halal food with a lot of options in the menu. There was one waiter working there, the place was full and he was doing a hell of a job.Because of that service am giving them 5 stars.
Very poor service. Prices are very high. We ordered chicken tikka, chicken bhuna and chicken curry, garlic naans & rice.Chicken tikka was average in taste while other dishes were tasteless and basically made up of same curry.Garlic naan were not naan at all. They were just normal breads with garlic choppings clipped at the top.Others might find it tasty and authentic Indian food but I would strongly disagree with that. Indian food is much more tastier than being served at this restaurant.Ive been living in Europe since 8 years and travel a lot. We prefer Indian food and have tried several so called indian restaurants. In my opinion, this was worst one of them and it is one of which even charges for chutney & pickles.
Had best desi vegetarian food in Spain yesterday: Naan, Aloo gobi, and Pulao. Hussain who manages this place was a very good host. He suggested best menu and prepared dishes according to Indian taste. Salt was little less in curry but I think it was according to Indian taste and moreover it can always be added later as per own taste.
Amazing food! Super friendly staff. Was in Granada for two days and ate my dinner at only this place because of the taste.
Delicious food. Nice hospitality. Neat & Clean. In the heart of Granada. Lovely atmosphere. We ordered chicken tikka, chicken curry, and a veg. main course, with rice & roti. It was more than sufficient for 2 people.
Great location and great food! It was refreshing to have Indian food in Spain at this place. The staff is helpful and they also altered some of the dishes on the menu to suit our preferences. We decided to eat from the same place the day after and they were extremely kind to deliver food to our hotel on request even though it was a busy weekend. Strongly recommend it.
0* rating is not an option, but 1* is being ultra kind! This has to rate as THE worst (allegedIndian eating experience we have EVER had, in almost 40 years of sampling this fabulous cuisine. Having eaten here several times in the past (we were one of his original & loyal customers when he first opened over 15 years ago in the small plaza just around the corner from Muglia 1), and the food has never been of a high standard, but 12/11/2018 was the final straw. Just because you are the only restaurants (Muglia 1 & 2 are ran by the same person), serving this super cuisine, allow you to serve up this totally diré level of food.
We dined here after needing to tantalise our tastebuds after a week of tapas! It was absolutely amazing!!The food was authentic and tasted just like my Mum had made it at home. The saag paneer is an absolute must and the chana masala was great too!I’ve never eaten authentic food when holidaying I’m Spain before and felt compelled to leave a review as it truly is amazing! If you are in Grenada and fancy a change, I really cannot recommend this place enough.
Though it is written 20% off if taken out but they didn’t mention that you have to spend at least 20€. Food is expensive compared to the amount and they don’t allow you to drink from your own bottle of water inside the restaurant. They said they check the camera if you have any water. You will have to buy their water with triple price. Food is ok.
Amazing food,Great service,Nice portion ,Prices were also good.Hopeful we will visit again as we are here in Granada for 4 days more.
Best naam ever. Realy tasty food
It’s an Indian restaurant run by people from Pakistan. Although the staff was friendly and the interior was just fine, the most important aspect ‘the food’ unfortunately was bad for me! If you have eaten Indian food before ‘elsewhere’ and therefore you know Indian food then it’s not worth eating here - you wouldn’t like!! but if you are new to Indian food then I suppose it doesn’t matter for you.
If you are missing authentic Indian food, you have found your place. Amazing food. Great friendly and helpful staff.
When we saw this restaurant, we instantly craved Indian food and this place did not disappoint. The food was delicious. Great service too.
After a week in Europe we were really looking forward to good Indian food when reached Granada.Food was so good that after eating at the restaurant once we ended up going there at least once a day in 3 days we spent in GranadaTwo person meal was around ER 20-25 which is quite reasonable. I will surly visit place again if end in Granada any time in future.
I traveled a lot and have been to so many places but never had such a bad experience with Indian food.During my travel after few days I always crave for Indian food so this time also i went to this restaurant according to the rating which is so called 4.3 but i think its been given by family and friends only because they dont deserve even a single star very poor service, lack of staff, rude attitude, taste less food and this restaurant is run by some Pakistani family so this is actually not an Indian restaurant. Please dont even think of going there its a complete waste of money.Very disappointed!!!
Ok, so the beginning of my experience here didnt start off well. I ordered a chai. It came out and Im not sure what exactly it was but it didnt taste very good or like any other chai Ive had. I returned my "chai" and ordered a green tea. I was worried that the rest of my lunch was going to be on par with the chai, but thankfully everything elses I had was delicious. In fact I wouldve rated this place five stars had it not been for the horrible chai. The rest of my meal consisted of a chicken dish, which was wonderful, a vegetable dish, rice and naan. All of which were pretty good! Id definitely come back again. The waitress was nice and handled everything in a professional manner.
If there was an option of 0 stars I would have clicked. Such a rude owner I was debating on leaving but made the mistake of staying. Overpriced, lack of service and arrogant rude man sums it up perfectly. Had to request menu. Ignored repeatedly and when waiting to, Mr rude had the audacity of complaining about me. When I tried to speak he wouldnt allow me to as he kept barking that nothing matters as his food is good. Arrogant!!!
Great curry. Not one of these watered down curry houses that Spain is full of. Nice and spicy.Good value and nice service. Recommended. I will be back !
Good food. It is family operated and wait can be little more when it gets busy. Portion size is too small by American standards. Good was tasty and the ambience was good.
