Melvin acted very knowledgeable when I brought my car to have the catalytic converter replaced. He gave me a great price and I actually thought I was in good hands! WRONG!!! He’s a rip off and should not be trusted. He replaced my rear catalytic converter which I found out doesn’t even register to the sensor to make my check engine light come on. I had to take it to another shop that did the actual repair needed to fix the problem (check engine light). They told me that the person (Mufflex Muffler Ctr knew when they replaced the rear converter that it wasn’t needed and wouldn’t fix my check engine light problem. Even when I took the car back because the light was still on Melvin tried to act like I needed a tune up when actually he didn’t know what the hell he was talking about. DO NOT TRUST!!! Go to the professionals because I learned the hard way and now I’m out of $150.

I called them from Manning to see if they could put new tail pipes on a friend’s 2015 Silverado today. We left Manning and headed to their establishment. Upon arriving they started right away. Melvin custom bent both tailpipes and welded all joints including the chrome tips in less than an hour!!!! The price was way less than we expected too!! Great quality buy a guy that’s been in this business in the same spot for over 40 years! I’ve known him for over 35 years and he ain’t slowed down none! Great job MELVIN!

We had an O2 sensor that blew out of a faulty install from another shop. Melvin got us up on the rack as soon as we rolled up. Cleaned up the remnants of the bad install and welded on a new bung so we could continue our Charlotte-to-Charleston trip. Fast, friendly, proficient service at a fair price. We appreciate such excellent service!

Had car two days and rushed my muffler job. Ended up having to go somewhere else to get it fixed. He didn’t weld the bolts and I had 3 exhausted leaks. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Don’t waste your money.
