Mtonjaneni Lodge - in Ulundi, South Africa
I just came for a lunch, the service was great by Mandla who was our Waiter, we really enjoyed the food keep up the good work
Good place to visit
The staff is very unprofessional staff. The lounge radio is too loud. No TV in rooms and no Wi-Fi access. Waited long for food to be served.
It well located. We had a meeting only. I was impressed
The place is very decent excellent, quality 👍👍👍👍👍
Very neat and quiet
Dont go if you expecting good wi-fi reception.Pillows are also uncomfortable.Breakfast was good, lovely surroundings.
Stayed for 7 days at a cost of R9000,Staff at reception are grumpy, they ignore you and make you wait for service. No hot water to shower on 2 occasions, no tea/coffee refills on 3 occasions. Owner/ Manager Please lets learn/teach courtesy.
The scenery is beautiful, very peaceful area. The food was nice but the presentation was terrible. I left a massage with Zama. Your kitchen staff need to dish clean. Small things matters. The rice was all over the plate. They grilled the boerewors with the same plate they served with. The plate reminded me of the lady selling food at the corner in my township for R35.00. very untidy plate, I was not impressed at all.
Only as a day visitor so I wouldnt know about rooms
Lovely breakfast and rooms were clean and comfortable.
It was welcoming place warm. The food was great
Perfect gateway location, the scenery is breathe taking and out standing views 👌
It was quite delightful, the service is good and the scenery is spectacular
Enjoyed lovely setting.Rooms are just easy and comfortable
I love it romantic place, great for weddings and to relax. Great getaway. Friendly staff great vibe.
Very tranquil... food well prepared...
The views are lovely. The service is so and so. The food is average
The place is in perfect environment, beautiful view however the rooms need serious improvement.
Great atmosphere and very friendly staff.Well done!
The lack of cell phone service (networkonce u in the rooms ruined it for me, but if your plan is to be unreachable then its the perfect place for you.Food, views (scenery, staff and the rooms are great. They have back up generator for load shedding ensuring you never left in the dark
Absolutely beautiful place with amazing landscape and some nice architectural features. Some friendly staff and others not so much. Very clean and simple. Food was good too.
Beautiful Place, Im here as a photographer for a baby shower and I see there are others hosting a wedding... Place can accommodate two events very big
We were welcomed with open arms the lady at the reception really knows how to treat her guest but the same cant be said for the guy at the bar he needs to learn peoples skills. I would give this place a 10 out of 10 the food is cheap and tasty thanks ladys in the kitchen
We enjoyed our visit to Mtonjeneni lodge! We live in Empangeni and always take a drive out to the lodge to enjoy the peace and tranquility there! . We found the staff, especially Nelly very accommodating and friendly and of course the food was excellent!!
Very nice place and I can gladly recommend it to anyone, though their food this time around was a bit salty to my liking, both dinner and breakfast (mince meat)
My place for relaxation when visiting my parents. Under the circumstances, we couldnt enjot the place fully as it was cold, the establishment must consider investing in heaters in the dinning hall- to keep the room warm... The food was ok, but the meat was too dry and over cooked.
Its beautifully maintained, wonderful service from the barman and my fiancé and I enjoyed this place. Will be definitely coming back
Horrendous...Recently visited. Both my colleague and I got given rooms with no working TVs, had to go out and look for help by the dining area. The butternut soup was well lets say I have had better and the garlic bread was quite concerning. Youre better of camping and eating tinned food if you ask me.
Set in a peaceful and tranquil setting, a place away from home, friendly staff, variety of meals to choose from. A place I certainly would recommend this Lodge to family and friends to come unwind
Truly magnificent place. A piece of heaven in beautiful KZN. The food is amazing, the staff are friendly and helpful and the accommodation superb. One of the best lodges I have visited.Highly recommended
The place is clean and quiet. The staff is respectful, willing and helpful.
The place is beautiful, however we were booked the same time they had a function and everything was as if they are doing us a favor by letting us stay there.I wont say much about our room. The next morning we drove to Ngodini Bunduz which was great.
We just stopped for a quick visit but what we saw was very interesting and the recipient area was nice and clean. Professional staff assisted us and in no time we were on our way.
A really lovely lodge, rooms are very nice and comfortable. The owners and staff were extremely helpful and cheerful. Lovely food. Very much enjoyed my stay, wished it could of been longer.
The place is beautiful but poor service and good food it just takes time to get to u
Generally lovely. Unfortunately no hot water (gas ran outso cold shower on a cool morning. Breakfast delicious.
Beautiful scenery, professional, polite and friendly staff, a very cozy and hidden establishment... Thank you, May God bless you.... 🙏
Sthandwa and Philani were 100% satisfied with the quality of service and food, especially fish an oxtail, "mouth watering".ENDORSED BYBC & PSG. LEGACY
Lovely and so serene. The staff there are so incredibly friendly. Great to see
Beautiful setting, wonderful views, beautifully landscaped gardens and pool surround with gazebo surrounded by the bar area , lounge and dining room. This is an independent hotel hospitably run. Comfortable garden rooms.
Situated in a beautiful area... Had a few minor housekeeping issues which were resolved immediately. The food was very good.
Staff well receiving. Food is prepared on time. The place is clean. Keep up with good work.
Comfortable accommodation and delicious food. On a cold and rainy night we had the Oxtail and Lamb Shank on the menu for dinner - it was very good. The main building which had a thatched roof, burnt down in 2016 and had to be rebuilt. It now boasts a very original rustic decor featuring Nguni cattle - a famous African breed of cattle. The venue now also has its own chapel which makes it an excellent wedding venue as well.
Amazing! Quick service, amazing bar, delicious food, what more could you ask?
This place has been revamped and it looks beautiful and more spacious. Its clean and staff is friendly
Relaxed and friendly environment. For me its home from home. My regular visits are always pleasant.
Better than ever. Rooms are great if a little small. Dining rooms, chapel, lounge & outdoor pool area, all combine to make a really lovely retreat
Very nice, up class and beautiful. they cater for functions and weddings also holiday lunches recently redone absolutely amazing
It is a fantastic place with Zulu History and is great for wedding functions and has a great range of drinks at the bar including the world award winning #ZuluRum.
