This modest motel along Highway 89 is 14 miles from Zion National Park and 58 miles from Bryce Canyon National Park. The 6 down-to-earth rooms come with complimentary Wi-Fi and TVs, in addition to minifridges, microwaves and coffeemakers. Upgraded rooms sleep up to 4 guests. There's also a pair of cabins, 1 of which has a kitchen, a pull-out couch and a fire pit. There's an RV park.
Nicely turned out. The RV portion of this location was nicely done with clean restrooms and landscaping. The motel area was also well maintained.
Very clean and nice rooms. Suoer comfortable beds. And very convenient to zion national park
Had a great stay here. We checked in late (11pmwithout informing the host. But they were kind enough to leave a welcome note with instructions and the keys. The room for 2 people is not spacious or large in size but has enough utilities, amenities, and appliances for a comfortable stay. This stay is close to Zion and Bryce.Unrelated tip: If youre leaving towards Bryce, on your way, dont forget to make a morning stop at "Rock Stop" for delicious coffee.
We stayed for a week, in an RV space, in our 40 motorhome. We had a 50 amp full hook ups site. The sites are tight but fit with both side slides out. Well kept property, beautifully maintained. Most in area are out in the open parking lots. Screen of trees blocks out highway noise. Gorgeous view. Super clean bathrooms. Great location for Zion, Bryce and even north rim of Grand Canyon. Definitely would return and recommend.
We stayed in the RV Park with our 42ft toyhauler while we visited Zion. Its right off the road, but hidden better than the other RV parks around. The spaces are pretty tight, but we fit with our slides out. There is a clean bathroom on site with one shower for men and one for women. There is wifi available if you need it and we had great phone service the whole time. We would stay here again.
What a great experience, I cannot imagine anything less than a 5 star review for this RV park/Motel. Its remote but close to Zion and plenty of nearby communities with shopping and dining. The process was simple and the surroundings were peaceful and relaxing. I laughed at some of the low reviews because everyone we met was thoroughly pleased, they were also adults... Thank you to the owners for a great stay. I would recommend this RV park/motel to anyone 100%.
very bad service, the owners want to charge you for everything. They charged us $30 more for the dog. and when we left they charged us $50 more to clean the room. everything is in poor condition the bathroom sink is broken and old and the bathroom is in poor condition. The owner spends watching you all day. theres no Privacity
This was a quick overnight stop before heading into Zion, but this is a really nice motel! The bed is super comfy and the room got super cold which I liked, plus the bathroom looks remodeled so it was really nice as well. No breakfast or pool but theres no complaint there since it was only $80. The TV I might add is a smart TV so it had Netflix and some other stuff on it but we just watched regular TV channels. You cant go wrong with this location if youre entering from the east side of Zion! Its pretty quite and has a beautiful sunrise in the morning as an added bonus. Give it a try and Im certain youll like it for a nights stay!
Clean, quiet, and cozy. My husband and I stayed in the motel King room and really enjoyed our stay. We were comfortable and thankful for a clean place to stay and take a shower after our long days in Zion. The drive is longer to get to the park than coming from Springdale but to us it was worth have a quieter place and the drive to the park is beautiful. There is also a nice view for sunset on the porch of the motel.
Great central location to visit Zion, Cedar Breaks NM, Bryce Canyon and the eastern side of Grand Escalante. Be prepared for limited groceries and late night dining options. Kanab is your best bet for groceries and dining. Many nice hikes are also found in the vicinity of the motel and rv park.We stayed in the RV park and enjoyed our stay. Road noise disappears at night and wasn’t bothersome during the day. Trees provide nice shade. Restroom was always clean. The owners clearly take pride in their property.Would stay again when in the area.
We had a great time and found the price/value of this place very good. We used it as a base for Zion and Bryce National Parks, then to go to Grand Canyon. It is close to the highway but quite at night. We got an updated room, which looked nice, was clean and spacious. Not a lot of food options in the area but there is a Subway and a restaurant really close by. They also have a decently sized small fridge and a microwave in the room, so you could just warm up takeout or prepare breakfast easily (there is a table in the room but bring utensils). There is laundry room for guests for a fair price. We can only recommend it.
Stayed for 3 nights on trip to Zion really enjoyed our stay beds super comfortable room was super clean and updated well for age and nicely set up shower was nice check in was envelope by office giving details everything was great only downside was food selections on east side of park though the coffee shop couple miles up road was great
The room was super clean and looked pretty new. There was a small fridge an a coffee maker in the room too. Excellent spot to spend the night between Zion and Bryce. The only downside was that when we got there on a Wednesday night we found out that all restaurants in town were closed until Friday so we had to drive about 20 min south to a larger town for dinner, so plan ahead.
Very cool place with awesome views. Our 43 ft fifth wheel fit nicely. Full hookups. Great price for area. Great find!
Not too many options in the area. Stopped in for a night in a room. Very pleased. Seems they are in the process of updating their rooms. Had a problem with Apple Pay, but the owners were very quick to get it all sorted out. Check in/out was a breeze. I didn’t get a photo of the bed area. Bed was fine, pillows were comfy.
Stayed here for a week while exploring Zion area. Was very quiet. Owner was very polite and courteous. We stayed in RV spot. Not hotel. There is a million things to do in the area.
Used it as a base to visit Bryce, Zion, Grand Canyon and other parks in the area. Close to hwy 89, but quiet at night. Clean bathrooms. Only complaint is that the cottonwood trees drip sap over everything! But thats only a minor inconvenience. Not a lot of dining options in the area, so be prepared to cook your own meals.
Great little motel. Good location being so close to Zion and at a very good price. CLEAN, our room was spotless. Very friendly and helpful staff.
We were in need of a last minute room (like 3 hrs last min and after hours). Booked a simple but cute 2 queen bed room online with incredible ease. I literally thought wow this place is too good to be true. The price was on point, the location was amazing and the room was very clean. Would absolutely stay here again. Thank you very much Lucy! Other reviews mentioned that the noise from the road was bothersome. We actually couldn’t hear anything since the walls are thick. The best part was the check in - as it was self check in and took no time at all.
Great stay! Excellent WiFi! Very affordable and worked out well while we changed out a flat tire. Great location close to Zion and Bryce.
Wonderful place, very clean. Great home base for our 8 day stay. Highly recommend and will return!!
The park was cozy with a gorgeous view and not far from Zion and other hiking areas. The bathroom was clean with a nice shower. No laundry on site. Really liked it here, the only downside was that because its so small and they are off a fairly main road there werent really many places to walk the dog.
A clean and nice mom and pop lodging. It was self check in with very good instructions. You got the instructions from a message board when you arrived. Bathroom had been updated nicely. Im an ice freak; however, no ice machine. We bought a bag in Orderville.
Very clean and comfortable. Couldnt get the t.v. to work, but not sure that was a problem nor complaint. The road is busy so trying to sleep can be a but noisy. Didnt see any evidence of air conditioning, but the night was cool enough; we slept with the windows open. Highly recommended if all you need is a clean, comfortable, surprisingly modern place to sleep and wash up.
Wonderful visit, gracious owner. We enjoyed four nights at this small, conveniently located, and nicely kept RV park. Shade and easy in and out.
So close to Zion! Super affordable, very clean and comfortable beds! Would absolutely stay here again! They even have a no contact check in process 💜 thanks for a great stay
You can tell from the road this is a well kept property. We stayed at the Motel. There are fewer than 8 rooms total. Lucy let us SEE the room before committing, which was very kind. Owners live in a home directly on the property. We chose one of two rooms that offered a king bed. It was clean and tidy. A very small t.v., small fridge, and small window a/c are the amenities in the room. Bathroom is updated nicely, shower was roomy. We were told the window had to be open some to properly allow the a/c to work - so street noise DOES come in. Quiet and peaceful otherwise. Excellent jumping off point to Zion.
Nice little campground, but a bit close to the road for us. Not many spaces and partial shade (which in Utah we found, any shade is hard to find :). Super nice people! We stayed only two nights as we really needed 50amp and our Zion plans changed. We used it as a hop down into AZ for the North Rim and was going to Zion but Zion was too much hassle due to COVID. So we cut our stay short and they were very accommodating. Conveniently located to AZ, Zion and Bryce.
Nice setting. Small and cozy sites with both rv and small motel. Good wi-fi signal when working. Clean bathroom and shower. Super convenient to Zion East side entrance. 50/50 shaded, No swim pool. Flat camp areas.
It was late when we showed up, management was extremely nice and she made it really easy to check in. The bathrooms were really clean with nice showers. The park was extremely beautiful. When we got up and left therewas so much greenery.
My wife and I recently stayed 8 nights here and we had our pet dog Libby with us. The lady who runs the place, Lucy, and the ladies that refresh the rooms daily are very friendly and helpful. We were able to make day trips to Zion three times, Bryce Canyon twice and the north rim of the Grand Canyon once. Also saw the Dixie National Forest, Red Canyon and Haibab National Forest. This place is in a very good location for making visits to many popular locations. I was able to play golf at Thunderbird golf course only 1 mile from the motel. The king bed was very comfortable and the shower is very easy to get in and out of. We slept well each night because of the quietness and comfort. This is an economical place to stay and there are stores and restaurants nearby. This was our first visit to Utah and it provided many nice memories and pictures. I definitely recommend Mt. Carmel Motel and will go back there sometime in the future.
Neat and clean, and there are SHADE trees! This is a family owed business for several generations. I would have given 5 stars, but there is some highway noise. Sites are a bit tight, but it was laid out years before camper s were so big an had the slides. However, it is much nicer than anything else in the area! WiFi works well.
This is a nice small park to stay in if you dont have reservations in Zion or Bryce. They have older showers but usually clean. It is nothing special but it will do. Have stayed there 3 different times.
Excellent place to stay and access the parks. Nice staff. Clean area. Easy access. Highly recommended. Road noise is present, but it’s not bad (45mph zone). Don’t be dissuaded by my four star rating, we’ve all stayed at camp sites that are five stars, so I can’t in good conscience rate it a five.
This is a family owned motel. The structures were built years ago. It is clean, well maintained, good beds, close to Zion, and reasonable in price. Management is great. You dont spend a lot of time in your room as you are out exploring. We will return.
We stayed in the cabin- such a cute place to stay! The pictures are a little outdated from what it’s actually like- perfect cabin for your national park stay. It’s just 15 min from Zion National Park and maybe 45 from Bryce Canyon National Park. Owner is so nice and accommodating and the rv park has a bunch of trees and a cozy feeling. I’d highly recommend staying here!
Nice little park, only 10 spots. We stayed here for 5 nights and enjoyed our stay. It was very convenient to all we wanted to do. Quiet, clean restrooms and nice level spots. Some spots were small but they were able to accommodate our 36 foot trailer with slides on both sides. The only suggestion I would have would be to make an area to walk the pups, there wasnt anywhere to walk our dog unless you used the little bit of grass in other sites. We took him down the hill but there were a ton of stickers and he kept getting them in his paws. That area could be a nice dog area with a little TLC. Just a suggestion from a traveler that has 5 pups, we only had one with us, but this is a feature that is important to us. Also, the dumpster was full the entire time we were there, made it difficult to dispose of our trash. Overall it was a good stay and I would probably consider staying here again.
Nice, small RV park, 10spots, close to Highway. Nice showers. Small grassy areas to walk dogs. Very nice staff. We met the owners dog (Miloso friendly he loved playing with our big dog.
My family recently spent several nights at this very nice motel. My daughter and family had rented a motel room, but were upgraded to the cabin, free of charge, in order to help with their scheduling. We stayed in their rv park. The cabin was spotless, roomy with space outside to park vehicles including a large trailer. The rv park is small but situated under large, older trees which was great for giving us shade. The restroom was extremely clean and neat. Various members of the family were visible during our time spent there and very welcoming. The location is ideal for all of the parks in the area as well as Kanab and Pink Coral Sand Dunes. The prices are very reasonable. We will definitely be staying there again.
We stayed in the RV park. Bathrooms were clean, owner was very friendly and courteous, price was very reasonable. RV sites have 30 Amp hookup. Nice trees all around and not too close to others.
Spent 3 nights in our camper here and would definitely stay again. The setting is peaceful and the busy road noise from 89 didnt bother us at all. VERY clean bathroom with hot shower. Easy on and off Hwy 89 and a short drive to Zion and only an hour from Bryce!
Great little gem of a place. Very small and no amenities other than a clean bathroom and shower but so close to Zion and a little farther Bryce you’re not at the RV park much. Very reasonably priced and owner was very nice and helpful. Definitely recommend.
We would give it a four simply because of its location and shade under the huge Silverleaf poplar trees. Its backed up by a view of some of the mountains here in Utah. It is kept clean daily. On the downside youre right next to the highway with constant traffic going into Zion National Park during the day which is pretty noisy. At night though it settles down quite a bit.
Quaint lovely little motel and RV park, like stepping back in time. Eight (?rooms and ten RV sites, centrally located to all the major parks. Its also a little isolated as a result, but that added to the charm for us. We stayed a week touring. Clean, quiet, comfortable, good people. Bring DVDs, though, they dont currently have cable and there arent any OTA channels available. Will return and stay again, and would recommend this place to everyone and anyone.
Easy to find as it is just next to main road. But because of that it was also noisy during the night. Even though we took "the bigger room" the bathroom was very small. Nevertheless, nice place to say on the way from Bryce to Zion.
Spent three nights at the RV Park. Great location between Bryce and Zion. It was a clean and well kept RV Park. Clean restrooms and showers. Very well priced. Friendly manager. Would stay there again and can recommend this RV park to anyone.
Stayed for a night in one of the motel rooms while passing through Zion on our way to Bryce. Best priced around that area and a fine room. Nothing big or fancy about it, but had everything we needed and was clean and well kept. Refrigerator and microwave was a nice feature, had stayed in a room on the strip and it didnt even have that. Checked out that morning, no problems. Would recommend and will stay again if Im ever going through.
We stayed here for 3 nights. The owners were super nice and accomodating. We are very long with our tow (70They let us drop our trailer so that we could still have access without any problem at all. This is the place to stay if you are really looking just for a place to sleep. If your gone all day seeing the sites way pay too dollar for a place that has a bunch of activities your not going to use anyway. The bathroom here was very clean and they had free wi-fi. Would stay here again for sure!!!
Pros :Good value for money.CleanClose to ZionStaff was are very courteous.Family managed business - has its own charm.Cons:The rooms were a bit small and shower was pretty small too - like a tall boxCommode seats are placed just enough far from the wall - good luck to bigger sized people.Since its right next to 89 , theres occasional sounds of vehicles throughout the night. The windows in the room wouldnt open. Very difficult to get fresh air - especially because opening the main door invites sheddings from the outside trees And they did shed a lot of soft fluffy matter.Restrooms are separated by a tiny curtain , and to further add to the inconvenience , it has no ventilator. No real acoustic insulation between the restroom and the rooms.
My wife and I were visiting Bryce Canyon and looked for the place to spend the night. After rejecting several places with unreasonably high rates without any benefits we came across this place and were absolutely satisfied. They ask $45 for room with 2 beds, microwave, tv, refrigerator, shower and wifi. Rooms are clean, personal is friendly, view to the nearby mountains is beautiful. Highly recommended.
