An extensive menu of classic Chinese dishes in a relaxed setting with Asian interior details.
Very authentic Chinese restaurant. Especially their fried spring roll is very nice and different class with other Chinese restaurant. Other dishes are superb too. I will go there for sure if I visit Liverpool again.
Excellent service and excellent food ! I most definitely go again for dinner!! 👍👍👍
Tasty & authentic Sichuan Chinese food, reasonably price, clean & helpful staffs. Definitely come again.
Wow! This is a great Chinese restaurant. They offer the make your own soup bowls - unlimited for 2 hours. The tables and all prepared to accommodate this! If you dont want this... the set menus are incredible!! Keep an eye out for how the food is delivered to your table.. loved it!!! Staff were attentive and polite and food was incredible. All freshly prepared and so flavoursome. Really recommend the spicy set meal... 🔥
I gone Mr. Chilli Chili last week with my friend for ate Hot pot soup.We are love to eat there good service and clean.
Lovely food and friendly staff. Air con a blessing during this heat wave.
Beautiful Chinese authentic restaurant. It provide Chinese cushion food. It is worth for everyone.
Fantastic food. Loads of proper spicy sichuan homestyle dishes. Some of the menu items dont had English translations, we had to use Google translate to choose the intestine! It was amazing. 🥵🤤Other choices cumin lamb (incredible), smoked pork with dry bean curd, tiger skin fried green chillies.
It was okay. We had hot pot and was good.
I love my salt and pepper box fix. Every night I come in for my delight, and although I do vomit it straight back up, 24 hours later I need my Salt & Pepper fix all over again. Cute delivery drivers as well hehe.
The tableware has cracks, the plates are not washed probably , there are dirty marks on themLamb recommended but not as spicy as expected Food is deliciousThe environment of the restaurant is not very clean, there is dried food on the chairs and also on the floorNice ambiance of the restaurant, very quietThe door in the bathroom doesnt lock and there is no toilet for the disabledOverall not recommended
Nice enough restaurant and food. Visited for Chinese hotpot whilst shopping - less than 10 min walk from Liverpool One. Ordered everything on the list and got through almost all of it. Only downside was they wouldnt allow a small takeout box for the small portiion of 8 year old daughters food that we had cooked in the hotpot but we couldnt quite finish. Really hate waste.
Food was ok, average.£25 for what is in the picture+ 1 coke diet.£3.40 was for a glass of diet coke (they didnt have coke zero). Coke was warm and flat (probably came from a big 2 litres plastic bottle). We do not recommend.
Were in Liverpool for a few days on a stag, ate here on the Monday evening and it wasnt great. Chicken Satay was very bland and the restaraunt was very cold
Walked in for a take away... be careful the Chinese woman tried to charge Me a extra £2 when I pointed this out and offered to show her the price on the menu ... she just said ok ok didnt even bother to look ... has she new what she was doing .. Ive ordered here before and the same woman snatches your money has no customer service skills shes robbing people simple has that .Food is just ok nothing special.
I was very excited to try my first ever hot with my family and friends, sadly my first one was a bad one. It took a long time for us to be tended to after sitting down (know this there was a good 5 tables only and 2 of the tables were already finished eating and in total 3 people serving on the floorwhen recieveing our hot pot meat/appetisers and soup we did notice we are missing quite a few, and waited patiently, however everyone was preoccupied. We were again not tended to for a long time, and about to stand up a waiter goes into the kitchen for our other dishes. No apologies for the long wait they just gave our missing meats and went off again. We were very unsure on how to even start on our meal. We did not have any utensils to help us with placing the meats and taking the meat out. As the waitress walks past we ask her for oils, and utensils and she aggressively says they are over there. I annoyingly said to her “we were not told it was here, and that their are no signs” she rudely walks off again. I tried to make excuses for her lack of waitressing and people skills, however I have worked in a restaurant myself and that behaviour can easily stop customers from ever returning. It was definitely uncalled for. We finally leave and see on our receipt (same waitressthat we are overcharged. We let her know that we did not purchase that, and she hurries to our table to make sure of it (understandable as she wants to checkhowever again she acts rudely and no apologies. She tosses the receipt to my auntie and takes the payment. We did not feel welcome. I do suggest if this is your FIRST hotpot, maybe go somewhere else. Not just with lack of customer service but also not worth the money. The meats we had were from frozen and I could taste the lamb in my beef slices, the soup was lacking flavour, we did finish most of it, only because we feared the hefty 15£ charge of not finishing each portion.I’m sure there are more welcoming places for Hotpot, I personally feel embarrassed taking my family there
Slow service, not that clean , and a 45 min wait for food , waitress miss ordered a meat hot pot dish and served me a seafood one ,then when she realised it was her mistake expected me to pay for half the dish , poor from start to finish !
Very busy and chaotic. Staff rushed off their feet and shows in the service. Food ok and family loved the Hot pot. 🔥
Customer service was awful!! Waited nearly an hour to get a flat, warm drink, (should have been cold and fizzyand an hour and a half for meal order to be taken, then was missing a couple of items from the order when it finally arrived. Have been here before and was lovely, but unfortunately I will not be returning again after this dreadful experience.
Food was good, sadly the service was awful and they constantly forgot to bring food out. While I will say it was busy - even when it was quieter service was poor. Waited 40 mins for drinks which seemed a little poor. Don’t get me wrong. Food is good but poor service just lets it down.
Small restaurant, but wonderful Chinese food. Dishes are on the large side, so make sure you go in hungry 😁
Tasty simple food. Worth every penny.
Food was great! Though some of the details in the menu can be a bit misleading. I had the Fried Beef Casserole which I didnt know came with noodles and I ordered rice. Other than that, Gong Bao Chicken and Banana fritz were good too!
We didnt realise the portions were massive and accidentally ordered twice as much food as we needed, taking the extra home. It was extremely fairly priced, really good Sichuan food, especially the hot and numbing aubergine and the pangassius fish. Will be back!
got lots of starters and a couple portions of duck pancakes for a very reasonable price. The food was all pretty good, not outstanding, but good value for money. Would return
Literally so cool. Ordering online is cool. Ordering for collection is cool. Walking in and ordering to collect is super cool. The people that work in this place are super nice and patient, they rock my world. Its good food for like a super good price too. Its so chill in here. Properly Chinese, I cant read anything on the walls but theyre so chill, Im super white, too. I respect that they have as much patience for me as they do.
Absolutely disgusting customer service, long wait for food and when it did come it didnt all come together. Food was cold and staff needed telling to take it back instead of offering to replace with a hot one. My brothers meal didnt arrive until the rest of us had eaten, and ordering drinks was a task. No offer to compensate for the mistakes and missed meal and the staff were extremely rude when this was explained to them. Never again worst dining experience Ive ever had.
OMG the Chinese hotpot here us amazing, hadnt had it before but it was recommended. An unforgettable food experience that I will go back to but go with a big appetite!
Decent food and the service is good. Does what it says on the can sort of Chinese. not my favourite but good food nevertheless. Thanks.
Quick and courteous table service. Authentic Sichuan cuisines. The restaurant is kept clean at all times. One of the best in the country.
Great place to always have my hotpot as I did in Chongqing, China.
This is the worst experience ever!!! Avoid this restaurant !! They stole my money!! I ordered food for 30pounds and they didn’t deliver and they said they did!! I’m fighting with them to get my money back!!! They shouldn’t be operating! This is unacceptable!! Read the comments properly of this Chinese as I didn’t before I ordered!!! Avoid! Stealers!
I stumbled across this place by accident, and so very glad I did. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and are happy to help you with any questions on your meal (whats in a specific dish, any allergies, recommendations, etc.). The food is just simply amazing - cooked fresh, great portions, and really good prices. We ate far more than we should have, as it really was that good. Definitely recommend the place, if you have the chance to go.
Disgusting food, had ordered chicken noodles, we managed to try a bit of the side of the food. The second time i scoop some more i smell a stinky smell, rotten food, i tasted the bit of what i got and immediately i spit it out and told my husband that it was spoiled and rotten food the half of that noodles, as i spread the rest of it the more i smell a stinky, rotten foul smell, cant believe that we had ate a rotten food, we left the rest of our orders untouched, disgusting, food floating at the middle of my husbands beer. We thought no harm in trying this place although we have read loads of bad reviews.Looks like they are serving customers left over to other customers. Believe me. Dont even try this place. We will be lucky if we havent got stomach issue in the morning
Staffs had no idea what they were doing. People who came in after were seated before us. Beef in chilli oil had no flavour to it. Lamb skewers with cumin were okay.
Great place, delicious food and massive portions!
I came here for lunch on my own last week. The restaurant is smart and clean inside, and the staff are pleasant and professional. I had MaPo tofu and was offered a vegetarian or meat option. The food came promptly and was hot and delicious. The background music was a bit loud for me, but otherwise all good.I would come here again and didnt feel uncomfortable eating on my own.Recommended.
This is the true Sichuan style. Rice is priced per person not per bowl.
Dont be put off by the name, this is an authentic Chinese restaurant with a menu you wouldnt find in many other places. Most if not all tables have a built in hotplate for the house speciality which is basically a cook yourself type dish. A communal pot is used to cook by each person at the table and you can order various items of the menu to use.
Really disappointing experience. Waited an hour and ten minutes for food, before having to leave hungry as we had concert tickets. Other customers who came in after us were served their dinners, despite us asking 3 times how long our food would be. Also, we were not asked once if we would like any more drinks while we were waiting. Simply awful table service. Its a shame that we didnt get to try the food properly, as it did smell and look nice every time some was carried past us to other customers. They did apologise as we were leaving, but that was much too little, too late and we will not be back.
Considering it was really busy because of Chinese new year we were seated quite quickly and the food came relatively quickly too. The service was excellent with friendly staff. I would definitely recommend it.
It was the first time that we tried hot pot and we had no idea of how it worked at all.One of the waiters was so nice to us and explained everything even giving us examples of what to get. He was really patient with us. Lovely guy!About the hot pot nothing more to say, delicious! :D
Lovely place for food and location was good, easy to find. Wasnt busy which is what we prefer. Good value for money as its relatively good priced. The only things I wasnt too pleased with was that there wasnt any thanking you for your custom etc & that theyd just bring the starter out, then not long after, theyd bring your actual meal whilst youre still eating your starter. Staff also was just shouting across the restaurant to each other. Other than that, Id have given 5 stars.
Went here after reading so many reviews and I took my boyfriend for a night out. Well the starters arrived and they where perfect, there was many Chinese people in here which is always a good sign so we were excited to receive our main courses .... they arrived and the Singapore vermicelli tasted of fish even though we clearly asked for no prawns and the crispy chilli beef was like rubber ... we asked for assistance and the lady waitress was so nasty we asked her to taste the food herself and she refused point blank ..... the gentleman came over and gave us our money back and we quickly left .... he lady and gentleman ended up having a huge row in Chinese so this intimidated me even more hence us leaving so quick ..... never again .... if I want Chinese now I go the Chinese supermarket and make it myself .... it’s not the hardest thing in the world to do
Before I visited this restaurant, my friend warned me that they might charge more than the price show on the menu. At the end of our meal I checked th bill and found out that an extra 2 pounds were added to each dish we ordered. The explaination was that the menu should be updated but they were too busy to do that. Not convincing at all! A good restaurant should at least be honest!Food wise it was OK, not as good as we expected. Some of food materials are quite disapointting!
Just left this restaurant with my wife and family we decided to opt for the hotpot. We wanted to experience an authentic Chinese meal. It wasn’t for us. The food came out raw and as we already knew were to cook ourselves at the table. As the food is frozen you are handling uncooked meats with your chopsticks and then are supposed to use them again to eat with. This just felt wrong because of the risk of food poising. As an experience we enjoyed it but doubt we will be going for the hotpot again, but I must say the staff were amazing and catered for our every need. Just stick to what you know best amd order from the normal menu.
Service was poor, staff were unfriendly and made us feel like we werent welcome and any request was met with resistance and annoyance. However the hotpot was really fun as a group activity and the variety of ingredients was good. The chicken, however, was really poor quality and we couldnt eat it it was so revolting.
Delicious Szechuan food, albeit a bit too salty for my palate so I would recommend ordering some Chinese tea to go with your meal. Very value for money especially if you order a few dishes and share with friends
I spend quite a bit of time in China for work and something I always miss is a good HOTPOT when I get back to The States. Stopped in for a spicy hotpot today and I was very pleasantly surprised with how authentic it was. Delicious as a matter of fact. The staff was kind and prompt. They even let me add a few different items that I really enjoy in my hotpots and didnt charge me any extra.Next time I am in Liverpool I will be making another stop at Mr. Chillis. Excellent food and service!
Weve been going here for a long time. What can I say? Very friendly service and the Sichuan dishes are to die for! Ive only ordered from the British Chinese menu once but the Sichuan dish is the real deal. Dan Dan noodles are highly recommended and the dry fried green beans are also yummy. If youre feeling brave, try any of the hot and numbing dishes.
