Warner-Allee 1, 46244 Bottrop, Germany, Duisburg
Movie-themed amusement park with family-friendly & thrill rides & attractions, plus live shows.
Awesome park with lots of rides to go on but the highlight of the visit was definitely for the Halloween special tours and parade with a live DJ till 10pm. It was a great visit and we loved every minute of it. I would highly recommend a visit on Halloween.
The attractions are mostly nice but the waiting lines are TERRIBLE. 1 hour waiting for 2min rides! Its also really annoying that they close most normal attractions at 7pm only because theres this Halloween thing and they want to sell extra Halloween tickets. This is not advertised anywhere.
Extremely crowded, more than 60min waiting time for everything, not much creativity around the attractions to distract from the long wait. People smoking in the que, not enough staff to speed up the checks and reduce waiting time and very expensive. There are better parcs around.
During the day the park was overcrowded. None of the rides show you the waiting time, so you can end up waiting even 2 hours without a speedy pass. The speedy pass is actually more expensive than the admissions ticket, so this can turn fast into a really expensive experience. We were there during the Halloween period so from 6 pm there were horror shows until 9.30. That was really fun, but every show must be payed separate on top of the entry ticket. Definitely you must pitches those tickets in advance otherwise you end up with all the shows sold out.If they would show the waiting time for the attractions and maybe create a late ticket like other parks do, the experience would be much improved. Also, if arriving by car...prepare yourself for at least an hour of waiting to get out of the parking lot
Wonderful amusement park for Kids and grown-ups. I recommend the visit during the week. We visited it during the weekend and we waited between 30 minutes and one hour for everything, (food included), but was worth it. Highly recommend!
The park is fantastic, but our small dog wasnt allowed to enter. Its such a pity. Exceptionally that there was no sign "no dogs" anywhere and even on the site there wasnt such comment. So park itself is fine but I have the questions to the staff.
I liked this park very much. It is very well taken care of, the locations look very nice. It isnt dirty. The bathrooms by days end are a bit disgusting, but thats kinda expected. The attractions are very nice. Lots of rollercoasters, and they are all fun. Other attractions are also quite nice. The Halloween festival is a very nice plus. The actors are very into it, and you can see lots of good scares there. Also, its awesome to have the rides open almost until 10pm.
The Rollercoasters 🎢 and Nick attractions are great! The Halloween Theme in the park is amazing! However I wouldnt recommend to buy the "burger deal" or drinks in advance, as there are other plenty of options to eat at the park, even a Subway! If you buy the souvenir cup online, you can only pick it up in 2-3 stores and you have to do the whole line just for the cup 🤦🏻♂️(Nonsense). Otherwise you can buy the cup literally everywhere! Which is faster...The burger deal is a joke and is the only option you get to buy online, AVOID it!
Perfect Amusement Park to spend time with the whole family from the smallest to the eldest)Many attractions for kids and adults. Huge territory and almost no lines. Definitely recommend for family joy!
Not a lot of attractions, especially in a zone but it was fine because you have space and time to do everything relaxed. I wish there was more action for people who are the age of 20+ but for kids its nice. The food was delicious and not too expensive! A lot of nice souvenirs and the Halloween theme is spectaculair! Good show and food, attractions can get more 🙌
Very small...There is plenty to do but the name and association it has with movies you would expect something big like at least the size of 1 park in Disney Paris. But its like half or less of one Disney park when Disney Paris consist of two parks. So its like 1/4 or 1/6 the size of Disney Paris. We went for two days when really you only need one day if you go in the morning till closing time. Also there were hardly any lines. So a "speed pass" is a waste of money. My kids enjoyed the Nickelodeon area a lot.So if you have kids then go there.Check the event page because there is an interactive dance show for the kids too. Also if you go for a day or even two and your a thirsty person (like myselfor it is warm/hot outside or buy just one cup to share with two then make sure you buy the movie park cup.It lets you refill your drink the whole day every 30minutes.The cup has a NFC tag in the bottom. You can enable the tag again the next day with a discount.I highly recommend this.Since a drink in the Parc usually is 4 euros or so after 4 refills you already made a profit.
Amazing place!! Already getting thematized for Halloween. Attractions for all ages, and to enjoy with the whole family.
Overrated, but fun anyways.Lots more waiting compared to Europapark and Phantasialand sadly, for not as cool attractions. But still cool, and definitely worth the price.
We have had a great day in movie park! I am very happy that people who work in the park are very friendly. I got very kind help when I had some troubles with changing coins for some games for my kids. We are very grateful that someone helped us when we have a problem. Even though it happened around closing time. I often think that the good service is the key to make people happy. Very nice experience!
Very nice park, not super big but cute, with fun rides. Prices are a bit high.
Good rollercoasters, food is expensive so bring either loads of money or your own food. Great spot for catching pokemon, i caught an shiny pokemon there. If your autistic like me the noise there is mild in my opinion. Just bring headphones and music with you.
Review from someone whos into thrilling rides (hardcore stuff lol). So if youre afraid of heights, dont follow my review. My strategy was to go from the most exciting ones to the more chilled ones (because the queue would be less crowded if you go there earlier, the chilled ones would be not so popular). Some of them arent opened until a certain time (e.g. 11am), so you have to go to the ones that are opened earlier first. And go to water rides last, before you leave the park, cus you dont wanna be wet the whole day.*small tip to save money if you want to buy the photos (my friend did). They sell the Foto Pass, where it gets cheaper if you buy more (I dont go to theme parks often, cus theyre expensive 😔 so I didnt really pay attention to this deal until I bought 4 printed photos=32€ already😕). A digital Foto Pass costs about 20€ but I think you could download all the photos of you (just note down the Photo ride number). Or buy 5 printed photos for 25€.The rides listed below is a chronicle (in the order in which I first took-> last took): (R)=roller coaster- Van Helsings Factory (Rdark, not too thrilling, but fun- Star Trek: Operation Enterprise (Rkinda thrilling, with some looping- NYC Transformer (swingopen 11am, okay-ish, not thrilling- The Bandit (Ropen 11am, very thrilling- Crazy Surfer (spin+Rcool (as in the temperature lolw some fresh air, very easy- Side Kick (Frisbeekinda nauseous, not so thrilling, (someone puked/peed so the staff had to spray with water and operate it without people on it to clean LOL)- The High Fall (free fallheart dropping af, dropped all the way down in less than 1min, usually other free fall towers go down and up and down- *MP Xpress (Runavailable at the time of visit (20 Aug 2022)- Avatar Air Glider (fly in circlecool (fresh air), easy peasy- Ghost Chasers (Rfun, lots of sudden drifts- Doras Big River Adventure (water roller coastervery cool, long queue (≈50min), you get kinda wet- Excalibur- Secrets of the Dark Forest (water spinnot so special, slow, sit in a circle facing each other, not so fun (kind of a waste of time honestly)- Area51- Top Secret (water Ryou get soaking wet at the end (it was wise of us to do it at the end :D)Btw they have free clean bathrooms.
Wonderful park. Used to be a lot less after the lost the WB rights but I found it very much better when visiting again in 2022. Would recommend!
Very nice experience. Park has a lot of rides spaced close to eachother compared to other parks. Which is a very nice change when you visit with young kids. During our visit it wasnt very busy, so we were able to enjoy a lot of rides. Our daughter met her heroes from paw patrol for a photo moment and had a very good time. Minor drawback were the amount of wasps (Augustand choice of food (snacks). Also some malfunctioning of rides which shut down an attraction for 30 minutes. This happened about 4 times on different rides around us. Would visit again.
Theres some good rides in the park but overall i wouldnt recommend it. Staff is lazy and doesnt care about anything, food is hard to get, drinks were sold out half way through the day/only available in cups which isnt doable with th crazy amount of wasps in the park. One of the worse parks Ive been so far
Great park with theme Movie! Food and drinks are in my opinion little too expensive! Shows are amazing and very good! Kindly personal! I recommend highly too everybody who likes theme parks!
Really nice place to expend the day, I recommend to take the speedy ticket to dont wait that much on line. Plus if u want to drink, or eat u can take Ur own stuff inside, because prices are high. Or u get one of the big glasses for around 4 EU and u can fill up all the time with soft drinks for free
Awesome park, last time was Warner bros moviepark it didn’t changed only the name! Me my son and my brother enjoyed the whole day only the pest of wasps in the park everywhere even in the highest tower they where!
Quite a nice themepark, the moment you step in you actually get the feeling you are in a different world. Lots of different attractions, but the main star of this park, are the shows. There are several shows to see in pretty good quality. You dont wanna miss the Magic show.Only not so good things in this park are mostly the opening times. Already open the park late and close quite early. Even after opening some things open later, which makes no sense.Today also lots of attractions, store and restaurants never opened. Maybe due to the shortage of workers?Even though those downsides we were lucky on a not so busy day, so low waiting times. But without the Magic and stunt show the park would be rated 2 out of 5, with all the closed entertainment.
What a deception. Terribly long queues, without any indication how long you have to wait. Very confusing park layout, felt lost all the time searching for the rides. Staff was not prepared for their work, very slow service, understaffed at many of the food and drinks counters. Long waits, again. Wanted to leave after the first ride, but spent too much money on it. Definitely would NOT recommend.
Movie Park Germany is a nice family park near Bottrop.Book your tickets in advance to avoid a waiting queue at the entrance. Parking fee is €8.Great plus:The park offers a wide range of attractions and shows. The park offers an own WiFi network and app.Minus:The food on offer should be reorganized: waiting queues are tremendous and are blocking the walk ways in the park.More signs should be visible (entrance of attraction, toilets, etc)Toilets should be refurbished: toilets are not clean and outdated.Hygienic standards are not very high (lots of litter in the parkfor a German park.
Parking attendants are downright rude. We wanted to charge our electric car, but were sent further each time. There were at least 5 or 6 charging places available, but we were not allowed to charge there. Why? No idea.Park itself is outdated and basically has no signage. We were there with a child of 3, who loved it, but for us it was once but never again. Also made use of the basketball game, we were offered 4 balls for €10,- and people who came after us, German were offered 5 balls for €10, very special.Park is also not responding to the reported complaints.
Whatever you’re paying the sweet blonde person at the „sidekick“ attraction - it’s not enough. It made my whole day better seeing them!! They are literally a ray of sunshine and so incredibly friendly to everyone. The park was also great!!
Really enjoyable day, everyone working there were polite and friendly. Definitely worth pre booking online. My nephew really enjoyed his first time at a theme park and especially enjoyed the Spongebob and Paw Patrol rides
Had fun but busy busy busy.Always friendly personnel. Always happy to be at their job.Park always clean.Would love if they had more healthy foods.. Salades where selled out in a min.A shop where you could only get salad and or ramen and sushi would be a great edition to the food.Dont recommend the noodles. There where burned pieces in it in the chicken strips included. And very tasteless. Our stomachs hurt after. But shaking of the raiders ride helped.... 😆
Cool place, a lot of attractions and they all are super fun, i loved the most the star track and the movie studio tour!
We spent 2 full days back-to-back in the movie park Germany. After a slight hassle with the tickets (the automatic ports couldnt scan my tickets, but the personnel at the gate could somehowwe entered a very clean and good looking park.We were with our 4,5 year old daughter, who is 1,10 meter, so we needed to carefully look if she could go on all the rides. After the 2 days I would definitely say that if you dont want to spend your full time in the Nickelodeon theme part, which was amazing by the way, you really need to be 1,10 or up, and still need to look carefully. All in all there is a nice variety of different kinds of rides, with thrills of all kinds. Highlights I would say was the studio movie your ride, magic show and Paw Patrol rides, lowlight definitely the time riders ride.2 days was great, we did everything what we wanted to do but wouldnt have lasted another day. A very enjoyable experience. The only major downside in my humble opinion, is the food. Most of the sweet stores (donuts/candy etcwere swarming with wasps, on the actual products themselves which was rather disgusting. The restaurants, although clean, had very mediocre tasting food (we went to yellow cab & van helsing themed place). It was also hard to find anything healthy to eat, but maybe you shouldnt expect such at a theme park (although I dont agree with this).
A fun themepark but lacking some theming compared to Phantasialand and Efteling. Still, it was a fun day! Lots of wasps though! 🐝
Hard to review this place as it has two personalities, on one side its a very good theme park with some fun and themed rides and shows, on the other its a badly maintained fairground with some awful rides (Bandit and the inverted coaster, Im looking at you).It needs an overhaul in both the Santa Monica and Nickelodeon areas tbh, better rides and better theming. Also ride times, not shown anywhere so you have to join queues and hope, on the day we went that was fine as it wasnt overly busy, most we queued was 25 minutes but I can see it being a nightmare on busier days. Also ride operations, one car on Star Trek which is ridiculous and causes lengthy unnecessary delays.Food is terrible and expensive, waited an hour for fast food burgers, stood watching slow incompetent staff incapable of following order sequence numbers, by the time we got the burgers they were cold and unappealing. We did consider the buffet at Van Helsing but in reality it wasnt a buffet as you still chose a main course, the whole thing was confusing with a dark half empty eating hall.I cant say we didnt enjoy our visit, we did but the place needs serious work or money throwing at it.
This was such an odd park, seems to have a very confused identity! Some parts of the park are very unloved feeling while other parts are very well kept. Ive got massive bruises from the wooden coaster Bandit, would definitely avoid that! Van Helsing is a great ride but not great to queue for. The star of the show is the Movie Studio Tour coaster, absolutely amazing !!
Was really cool to visit. The lines for the ride weren’t too long and all of the staff that I spoke to were nice and friendly…
Lots of attractions and great value for the money you pay for the entry ticket.Since there’s lots of people i would definitely recommend to bring some snacks and nibbles. I waited 1.5hrs to get a subway so having some extra food is a must.
Worth visiting. Proper planning can help in enjoying all ghr rides
Lake of payment with card, most of all cash payment, very very expensive, i order pizza was for supermarket they put in oven and sale me for 5 times more expensive, so I dont recommend to eat there, big waiting times for attractions
Great for families with kids of all ages. Took our 3yr old who is 98cm. She managed to ride most of the little kids rides with us accompanying her. Highlight was getting to meet the paw patrol. That seemed to make her day.
It is really great place for both adults and children, more importantly, the price is totally worty, we came on Friday, not a lot of people, waiting time for play is just 3-5 minutes, I love SpongeBob, I am totally immersed in this theme park. Fully recommend.
Movie park is excellent 😁👍 if you are visiting with your friends ☺️, family or alone too you will enjoy 😊The atmosphere in the park is very friendly and I the attractions were very well maintained. Especially Van Helsings factory and the new MPG Studios are highly recommended, There is. enough attractions, shops and places to eat for everyone!
Nice park, no real disturbances due to covid. Fair amount of rollercoasters, friendly staff
Lovely park with a variety of attractions for the whole family and plenty of options to eat and drink.
Have been to many theme parks, Plopsaland, Disneyland, Duinrell, Eftling & Legoland (DE and DK). This park is one of the best. The waiting time is not long at all. The hotel + tickets package is value for money. The children love this park! We will definitely come back!
Visit this place on Halloween 🎃, my friend suggested to visit it on that day because there were special offers/ activities to do. It was my first time on the long Roller coaster ride 😂. The atmosphere was good until the zombie apocalypse start. The themes of Hollywood mixed with scarry atmosphere was perfect, I total recommend to visit this place when you are or travel to Germany.Xoxo
Good: Went with my family for 2 days and really loved it..Fantastic Rides, Night Rollercoaster experience, Halloween Horror Festival, Horror House, Live DJ, Overnight stay package. Not soo good: Very crowded (especially in the weekends), very long waiting times for food and rides, no indication of wait time for rides, exiting the parking during park closure was a nightmare (took 45 minutes for us to just leave the parking), most of the staff dont speak English.
It is a nice Park but a bit small. It has not that much simulators as I expected. It was not so well set to the movies as I expected, maybe because I have visited several parks like Universal Studios in USA and I was expecting something like this, unfortunatelly it was not like that. It has almost the same rides that you find in the other parks. I really liked was Van Helsing but it is not very strong, but for small kids is ok.
Amazing place with family. If your kids are more than 1m hight a lot of attractions are available for you all. >1.20m high opening 90% of them. Only thing avoid Asian food, the nuddles wasnt so good in opposite simple American pommes with cheese was amazing.
Was a lovely day at the park!Lot to see, if you use the WASA-coupon (3030when buying your tickets, you can save some money for entry. Some rides are still closed (e. g. the wooden loop or all stunt shows), the food is quite expensive, though. The park is well managed and clean, nearly no waiting times (at least one good thing due to Corona!and the stuff is super kind.Worth a visit!
