Mouragio in Polygyros

I would rate 4.5, but there is no such option. Food was really tasty, service was great, coffe wasn’t the best. We were sitting outside and -0.5 is for annoying flies and fighting cats.

Great ambience, classic food selection, good quality

We tried the majority of the sea side restaurants; only to Mouragio did we return 3 times. It is owned by a warm and friendly family. The food is simple, but good, and cheap. Excellent gyros and nice cold beer.

The head waiter was very rude. We walked in and asked for a table. They offered us a table close to the building to which I said no thank you because it was very hot under there. I asked if they could put together 2 small tables I could see free further out as there were 8 of us. And the waiter said "I gave you a table Madam " what is wrong with it? In a very sarcastic manner as if he was doing us a favour and we werent actually paying customers. I found that very rude so we all walked out. I cant comment on the food but their customers service was atrocious.

Unacceptable to wait 2 hours to eat. The food was good but the service very bad. 3 waiters at 30 tables.. poor staff.

Overreaded. The fish plates are a joke, price too high for what you get, you dont even really get garnish you literally only get a fish. Pasta is good, price is okay. Its pretty there but the fact that they have sings that says noone should feed the cats is disgusting. Im not sure what to think about the staff.

Best restaurant in the area! Food is made from the best ingredients, cooked amazingly, welcoming and very fast staff! Dont miss it if you are around!

The staff is very friendly, great location and the food is excellent. Its the little things that matter and they are really doing a great job. We had a better vacation because of this little place. Each dinner was lovely, even when the terrace was full. We will definitely come back and recommend!

Food was good but the service was not. The server did not make eye contact with us upon arrival and merely “shooed” us to a table. The food took around 40 minutes to arrive. At that, one of our meals arrived and I was waiting almost 10 minutes for the other meal so while one of us was sitting there eating the other was without a meal waiting. Locals who arrived well after us were showered with hospitality and served their food before us. Did not feel appreciated for being a tourist at all and will never return.

Great food and service. Had some tarama, zuchini, gavros, and schrimps and muscles on rice all was excellent. Tsipouro domestic made.

Really bad service. Glasses with lipstick and no one “sorry” don’t deserve one star ! Really bad place…

I know this palce for many years and I always come back to eat here... but this year the food was not that good like I knew it... dishes had shrunk, the waiters not pleasant...😒

The seafood was very good. The staff was frendly. But we paid 11,50€ for a bottle water!

After I waited for a half an hour to get the order placed, they brought me the pork souvlaki, when I ordered a Chicken Souvlaki.The food is not that great, and the prices are pretty hight.Overall, I won’t recomend.

To be honest, I saw the reviews and we were so excited about this place. Even tho what I ordered was great, I have to leave a bad review because of the customer experience. There is only one waiter that speaks English and the others messed up our order (even tho we also showed specifically what we want on the menu). They forgot about a Cola twice. We asked specifically about the souvlaki because my friends religion doesnt permit him to eat pork, and they only had pork souvlaki, so he asked for chicken fillet just for them to give him the pork souvlaki... So sorry but we were not happy at all to eat there .... the kalamari was great tho

Good place over all. Nice tasty mineral water from glass bottle and decent enough menue. Dont expect luxury fine dining but do expect a nice and cosy time with your family.

Restaurant was full, while neighbouring one was empty, but it may be lacking staff. It took half and hour to order and one hour to pay. Food was good, but not outstanding. Tzatziki was very tastefull, the rest was OK.

The food is so tasty and has plenty of typical Greek specialities on offer. On top of everything when your stomach is happily stuffed and you have trouble loosening your belt they bring you out a complimentary treat to finish you off completely. They must know I find such hospitality difficult to refuse. Be prepared to roll back to your beach retreat, I kid you not!​A fabulous Greek taverna that ticks all the boxes and among many of my favourite places to feast in Halkidiki; served in a lovely outdoor garden covered in vines to provide a shaded and chilled setting.I somehow always seem to arrive slightly early before it gets busy and naturally the service is prompt and courteous. You want extra lemon to drizzle over you huge green salad or fish, no problem. You like your fried zucchini extra crisp no problem.​I love sharing food and always go for many different sharing portions. Grilled octopus, calamari, sardines or fried gavros are a staple and you can’t go wrong here. Serve it with a big green roka salad, some peppers on the side and one or two portions of their amazing lightly battered zucchini naturally with some tzatziki. Wash it all down with ample mineral water and one or two carafes of wine and you have yourself an absolutely delightful meal, every single time. So simple and yet so tasty, a defining trademark of really good Greek food.​​​PS You’re likely to come across a few cute & friendly neighbourhood kittens in the garden, but who can blame them.

Extremely tasty food, decent portions even though some of the fresh marine items on the menu are on the smaller side it is replaced with wonderfully cooked meals, plus you get a nice free desert, the staff is really polite and warm, but you do pay for the bruscette bread as a cover charge.. Anyway we would sit and dine here anyday again

Next to the Restaurant are many parking opportunities. The flair is good and very type for greek. The stuff was nice and the food came fast but not too fast. The food was delicious and the wine aromatic. I could just recommend it.

Although the dishes are looking good, seafood and salads of my friends was good as they stated, i have ordered beef stake and was a disaster.Beef stake i do not recomend as it is hard as the sole of my shoes, was dificult to cut with the knife and chewing it was almost impossible. Beef stake 0 stars, the 2 stars are for location and the friends dishes.Worse part is that they dont even care, they bring you out the food when it is ready, than you are forgoten till it comes to the payment, than you wait, and wait for the bill, no one asks if the food is ok or not. Its a fine location but some foods should be adapted for non seafood eaters too and atitude of the staff should be worked on.

Had an exquisite meal here whilst on holiday. The scene is stunning, the staff exceptionally attentive and the food a delight.!!Greek speciality foods such as excellent tzatziki, fresh fish, delicious sides.They also have 2 kids meals for the picky eaters! Amazing

Amazing food, service was also very good, but the tables are too crowded and its hot. When we saw photos of the restaurant we expected more light and air, since the tables are outside. In any way I recommend it, definitely a restaurant with the best food in Gerakini.

I can say this was the best place to eat that we have visited so far in Chalkidiki. They have QR code for menu which you can see online with pictures - so great and helpful for the customers! We were served quickly, waiter was so nice, helpful and kind which I absolutely love. I felt that we were welcomed and appreciated meanwhile he wanted to offer us the best. Almost immediately we were given water and crispy bread (warm!drizzled with olive oil. We could see the fish choice of the day and pick any fish we wanted. Thumbs up for that. The food was really great, totally enjoyed everything maybe except grilled aubergine which is somehow too sour or.. just not our cup of tea. Having dessert and one more surprise at the very end is an excellent way to end our stay at this restaurant. We are definitely considering visiting this place again soon.Also, you can pay by card.

Very good food and service! Everything we ordered from starters to main was very tasty and freshly prepared. The service was also very fast and helpful to choose the right dishes. The tables are also placed in a beautiful garden. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!

very nice restaurant, Im coming here for the sixth year every summer. everything is great: food, service, price ...

We ordered food for four of us, and we are waiting half an hour to bring portion for our friend. Food is now cold because we are waiting his food to eat together. Manager told us that his portion is coming for five minutes, and after twenty minutes they bring him portion, our food is now cold and we can’t eat together. Unprofessional!!! If I could rate this with zero, I would do that. Manager is arguing with us, and lying that we didn’t ordered that portion...

Very good food, nice atmosphere, decent service. A bit expensive but the food quality was very good so I can give maximum points. I totally recommend the stuffed calamari. We may come back.

An excellent Taverna. We were staying in metamorfosi nearby and found this through TripAdvisor. This place is well worth travelling to. The food was excellent, and arrived promptly, the staff were very attentive without being overbearing and the (I thinkowner was very friendly. I would definitely go back again.
