Mountain Road RV Park - in Tucumcari, United States
Nice park. Close to I40.
Good place to stay on your way east or west on I 40
Could of had some grass and more trees
Very nice small rv park.very clean restrooms ,showers an laundry.wifi an also cable hookup.very nice manager.i would stay here again.also reasonable prices.good sams an AARP discounts among others.
I sure do recommend this gem. Quiet and clean. The folks who run it gave us the Good Sam discount and were not even members. So nice!Thank you guys
Quiet, well kept, little campground. Pull through sites are a good size. Easy access to gas stations and the interstate!
Very clean park. The staff was very friendly and accommodating even after we rolled in a little after hours. The water pressure was the best we’ve had in our 18 day trip! The price was great!
Pretty good deal for the price. Just dont expect fancy. It doesnt come at that price
When you travel and stay in rv parks you have never been in, its like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get. Well this park gets all the stars you can give. If your looking for paved totally shaded spots then dont come here. If you do choose to give them a try this is what you get. A caring and friendly knowledgeable staff. Gravel roads and sites thar are almost perfectly level. Bathrooms that are clean and offer feet drying mats when you step out of the shower. A laundry room that is air conditioned, clean and has 4 new washers and dryers. And a bonus feature that I have never seen a tire pressure check station that is free. Also cable TV. Our good sam price 34.00. Easy in and out and all pull through large spaces
Clean we just slept, heat wave 104 so we hibernate in camper
It was a good place to pull in for the night. Not a great camping place for tents. It was windy and I couldnt stake the tent down as it was concrete and gravel. Great for RV hook up and easy access to shower and bathroom. Nice owners and affordable too!
A good overnight stop just off I-40. FHU for under $35 GS. Note: 80psi H2O. Site (48was level for me (nose slightly up).
Excellent little place. Showers and bathroom were awesome, hot water and clean. Price cheap too.
Quiet parl nice for an overnight stay. Few amenities.
Sites not level and very dusty. Sites services are antiquated. A helper there was very rude. Look further.
Really great park off the main road. The spots are big and easy to pull through and set up. The bathrooms are really clean and I appreciated that they have to be opened with a code. The staff was helpful and friendly and got us checked in quickly so we could rest. The wi-fi was also great!Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.
Was a great place for over night. The price was good and the people were niceWell be back.
Easy on and off big rig friendly the only thing our site 21 was not real level. Has tv signal. The biggest complaint I have is people staying there not picking up after their pets!!🤬 Ruins it for the rest of us that actually really does pick up after our pets!! But that has nothing to do with the park, they have it posted!
We came in late after closing. There is a drop box for payment... we just paid next morning($33/with discount... we didnt leave early. Flat gravel parking... full 50amp hookups. Quiet... right off interstate... 2 large truck stops on same street. Also the host recommended Kixs on 66 Cafe for breakfast 😋 was fabulous.
Good for over night but wouldnt recommend long stays WiFi didnt work good enough too live stream
No frills but the park was clean and staff was friendly. They did offer laundry.
What a great place to stay! For a night or two...or more. Who needs a pool when youve got such great mountain views. Management is polite, friendly and professional. I didnt use the facilities but did check them out. They were clean and there were no out of order signs. I stayed here two nights on my way to Illinois and one night on my way back to Arizona.
This is a great little convenient park just off I-40 in Tucumcari. Food and fuel nearby. Very friendly staff and clean facilities. I would not hesitate to stay here again when passing through.
Adequate park for a night off I-40. Restrooms were clean and well maintained. My only complaint is that there was an unleashed dog that kept bothering me as I was walking. I believe the dog belongs to someone who is there full time. They left in the morning and the dog was again outside.
So to be fair we did not stay here. We were looking for a place for our tent for the night. This is not just right off the highway- it is just north of a VERY busy truck stop. The noise was way too much for our tent, but a well insulated RV might not have an issue. The mosquitoes were rampant here after the daily rains in the last week of July 2021. We opted to drive on further east on I40 to find a more suitable location. It looked clean and well kept. There were ample instructions for after hours check in.
The owner was so super friendly. Great overnight stay, close to the interstate. We were a little long for the pull thru sites at 70foot but owner made it work. 50amp, water, sewer, & wifi
Great place to stay for the night. Bathrooms were clean and spacious. Very close to the interstate and stores if needed. Only thing I suggest is to lock the box for people coming in late and paying. When we arrived it was unlocked. Anyone could of grabbed it, set it as their payment or simply just took it. We were not risking that happening so we left a note and payed in the morning when the office opened.
After a long day of driving and weather moving in we stopped here. Very friendly staff and just off of I-40. Great place to recoup overnight. Very reasonable rate for full hookups even cable. :)
We picked this RV park because of it’s location right off I-40. The park is pretty flat with a few trees.Full, working hookups, clean bathrooms, nice showers and a laundry. It is also close to gas stations and historic Route 66.Perfect for a one night stay.Sunset photo from our campsite.
A regular desert campground. Some trees. No amenities except a Nice laundry room. (4 washers & dryers, $1.00 each And air conditioned 😊!Bathrooms acceptable. Be sure to get your access key to laundry & bathroom when checking in. Nice helpful, cheerful staff.
Nothing special about this place. It is close the interstate easy to get in and out. Five minutes to town, needs to update. I would stay again very convenient.
Great place for travelers... right off the interstate, easy after hours check in, and nice pull through sites. Super convenient👌
A little noisy at night from 1-40, gr8 internet, #4 dryer didnt work very well. Easy access in and considering the road construction.
this place is very nice. the restrooms are very clean and the people are very nice! it is pet friendly, but there are cats and dogs roaming around the area, so if your pet is good with other pets, you should be good to go! :)
Decent campground. It’s noisy right off the interstate. Wi-Fi is okay, bathrooms & laundry room are decent but really out dated. The “playground” isn’t even a playground. It’s 3 swings, seesaws & tether ball. The monthly price is $350 but the lady told us it’s normally $450/ month which I’d never pay for this. But $350 is a good price. People come in & out everyday & not many stay long term probably since there’s nothing to do in this town. No Walmart or anything.
Great staff, buildings are a little out dated, but you can tell staff keeps property clean and comfortable for guest. Gravel rv parking spaces with some space offering picnic tables, is well lit at night, and quiet despite construction in area. My bf and I had a comfortable overnight stay and would stay here again.
Great park for one night stop or week long layover park. Hi-speed WiFi and Air compressor for checking pressure on all your tyres! Close to downtown for exploring old Route 66 shops and restaurants. Super clean w/ hot showers and laundry. Great rates, easy access to I-40, morning walk to Dennys.
It was ok for a night. Showers were hot but electric ouet in womans shower room did not work to use a hairdryer. Noisy all day and night due to road work.
This is a great stop on your travels. You can get discounts if you stay longer than one night but the one night cost is very reasonable. Nice laundry facilities and very friendly people in the office. The sites closest to the office seem to be more level. All are pull through and easy. 40’ + ok all Full hook up and 50/30 amp
Nice enough to stay at an extra day to visit local museums. Traffic sounds like distant thunder going by. $33 a night but I dont think I got any discounts that are available (but not sure).
Very cute small trailer park no play ground for kids near a busy highway but very well kept and great friendly people stay here. Also pet friendly place just clean up after pets usually very well landscaped and token care of .
Couldnt get anywhere close to level without unhooking. Had to turn fridge off. Got up in the night to go to the bathroom and fell into the wall. But good location, friendly staff, quite and safe.
Clean. Great overnight pull thru. Customer service was great, especially since we ended up there due to a breakdown with our truck. Price was a bit higher than other parks considering the area and I think its unreasonable to charge extra for 50amp AND for children when just stopping for one night. I promise my 10gal water heater doesnt allow them to use up $3 of water each! Otherwise great quick stop.
Good place to stop for an overnight or short stay. Convenient to the highway. We didnt use the bathrooms or the shower so I cant comment on that. Price for an overnight,$ 33 . Dusty if there are high winds.
Very quiet and clean place. Just an overnight on our way home to Illinois, but a very welcome respite from Walmart parking lots.
Arrived late so office was already closed. However they had late night check-in cards, so we were able to fill out the form, choose our spot and get key for restrooms/laundry. Park is pretty plain, but was clean, quiet and safe. Good Sam club members pay $33.45 per night.
Location was convenient, staff was friendly, close to truck stops and a Dennys. Spots were a bit close/tight and we couldnt stay hooked up (truck and trailerfor the one night but it was a good place to stop for a night. Price was fine, with a Good Sam discount paid $33. Laundry and shower/bathroom available.
Iconic RV park in a classic Route 66 town. Be sure to take a tour of the town and see all the restored old hotels, shops and restaurants. With the old neon lights on, its wonderful at night. The park is great, as well. Everything you need, laundromat is good, and the folks were very helpful. As someone mentioned, the map icon is in the wrong place; the park is north of the Flying J, maybe half a mile. Far enough you dont hear road noises. Well definitely stay on our next trip through.
Descent place, very near the highway/interstate. Road noise from that and the truck stop is pretty loud.Bathrooms and showers are OK, definitely need updated or extremely cleaned.
Good handy spot to spend a night or 2, but definitely not a destination park. Friendly staff & reasonable rates. Like most old Route 66 towns Tucumcari is almost a ghost town, which is too bad as it seems to be a good area. Would definitely stay again!
