Mountain Meadow Preserve - Nature preserve in Hancock, United States
We enjoyed the walk and the view on Meadow trial. If you are nearby, take a hike!!!
Absolutely gorgeous fields, with wildflowers and tremendous views! My only issue is that dogs must be leashed on the property. My dog is a kind, well trained Boarder Collie and American Staffordshire Terrier; she needs to run!
Cute little nature preserve with some easy to moderate hiking trails. Meadow loop is very easy, anyone of all ages can do it, but the ground is a bit uneven. Tons of butterflies when the milkweed is blooming. A variety of birds to watch. The summit trail can be really steep at parts.
I can see how this preserve could be spectacular at certain times, but today wasn’t it’s day.The meadow was short, scrubby, and freshly mown yet the grass on the trail was long. It looked like where I would go to take photos to illustrate an educational brochure on Lyme Disease.I decided to turn around and leave less than a mile into my planned 4-mile hike. And did a thorough tick check back at the car.
Great hidden little location in the Berkshires.
This is a very peaceful place with a beautiful Meadow and lots of different Trails some steep some relatively flat
Very nice and easy to get to. Lovely big field and view.
Amazing amazing amazing park! I went to college nearby, but never knew about this lovely hike. The meadow walk is lovely, and the wooded trails on Mason Hill are great. Trustees of Reservations impresses once again.
Nice, easy hike with views and lodge ruins.
Go straight on the Grace Greylock Niles trail as soon you go into the woods from the meadow and you will find a delightful foundation! Watch out for caretaker. He will give false information.
A great quick and easy scenic walk.
An easy short hike with a nice view of Mount Greylock!
Gus, is the last of a breed. Hes friendly, talkative and an artist to boot. Hes covered all the bases when it comes to current safety measures. Make an appointment. One person at a time in the shop. Quick temperature check. Disposable smock. And Gus behind a shield. Aint life grand? Luvya Gus, keep up the good work.
Great place for a family jaunt. Nice open meadow with lots of butterflies.
Looked like a nice hike, but we had to turn back due to the amount of mud. Would like to try again on a drier day.
Nice little meadow to walk with friends. Nice trails and beautiful view
Short trail with a great incline towards the top, awesome for a short run, will definitely return
We stumbled upon the website for The Trustees when we were looking for a way to pass some time and found the Mountain Meadow on our route. Amazing spot to view a native meadow. Great well-maintained trails throughout the property. If you like wildflowers, hiking, ecology, or just want a quiet place to hike, this is a great stop.
Nice meadow, flowers, scenery, but some Deer flies...but thats common in most wooded areas in New England. Didnt go to the summit due to lack of time, so not sure of the views there.
Hidden gem! Great for a ramble in the woods.
