Mount Street Breakfast Bar in Perth

Whilst staying here for 4 weeks for work I dined here regularly. Great friendly staff and delicious food! Great general vibe! Would highly recommend and will be a go to when I’m back in Perth!

Had the chilli crab omellete and it was amazing. Fast and good service. Location is great on a green street with outdoor seating.

We went there for breakfast this morning, ordered breaky and coffee !!Despite the gorgeous interior, nothing else was great .We had to wait 45 minutes for our food to arrive ( the food was even cold ). One of the dishes was meant to have 3 poached eggs but it didn’t! They said the eggs are on the way but then they said it never went through so we ended up canceling the extra eggs because we already finished our breakfast.We ordered a long black but they misunderstood it with latte ! Gave us small long black but charged us for a large.Then we ordered another long black to take away but then we had to wait 20 minutes again.Staff were friendly but timing wasn’t great. We didn’t have a great experience and didn’t enjoy the breakfast. We would probably never come back and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

This cafe was delicious, 3 of 4 of us all ordered the Spanish eggs, hot and flavorful, with a nice little chili kick. Fast service and a great location. Coffee was excellent.

Very busy place, but breakfast is very tasty, lovely staff, we ordered French toast, hummus and bean soup- everything was very tasty 👌

I’m so glad we stumbled across this hidden gem during our time in Perth. The restaurant is situated on a hidden enclave right next to kings park. It’s open for dinner service on Thursdays and Fridays and is so well priced for the quality of food served.Flatbread and hummus were delicious (za’atar was so goooood!!)Barramundi was the highlight - extremely fresh. Brocollini was cooked perfectly.Potatoes were extremely crunchy and served with a tasty aioli. Carrots were also very tasty, served with toasted almonds.Steak was different, olives were a nice salty touch. We ordered medium rare and were served well done, but this was quickly resolved by staff who were hugely apologetic and even offered a free dessert.Brownie was warm, soft and gooey. I haven’t had a brownie this good before.To top it off, every cocktail we ordered was delicious, especially the mocha martini and elderflower martini.Love this place and a shame that it’s not in Sydney. A MUST TRY for dinner!

Hadn’t been here for a while so thought I’d revisit for breakfast, but left disappointed. Ordered coffee & breakfast - coffee arrived fairly quickly but after another 20 mins still no food, so got the feeling it had been forgotten, as it wasn’t particularly busy. Then the waitress turned up asking if I’d had my food - silly question. She then explained their ordering system hadn’t printed the order in the kitchen, so nothing was cooked. Wonder if this has happened before or will prompt them to manually check on orders once placed? Still charged me for the coffee I had drank but offered a free takeaway coffee or muffin - took nuffin. Won’t be back.

Normally don’t post reviews but this was a great breakfast experience. Waitstaff are lovely and friendly, the poached eggs were perfect and the seasoning on the mushrooms on point. Mug coffee remained warm in the early rainy morning for quite a while but wasn’t over done! Would definitely recommend

Best Turkish eggs ever!!! A quaint unassuming little find..and the best breakfast brunch bar! Pity I can’t keep this little secret gem to myself:friendly staff..food is always on point and atmosphere is calm and relaxing!

Such an original menu with delightful service and chic setting. Had the falafel and the mushrooms with bloody marys. Nom nom. Have only been once with a friend, so Id like to see if my opinion will be replicated when I bring the fam.

Love this little hidden gem. The food is always delicious and the staff are very efficient and helpful. We arrived one Saturday and it was extremely busy. They served us coffees while we waited for a table and were with us the moment a table became available. The Spanish Baked Eggs were amazing and the coffee was pretty good too.

Friendly staff, great food, and the location is really nice (so close to Kings Park). Ordered the chili crab eggs and the flavor was really unique and delicious. The picture doesn’t do the food justice as I felt that they could take up their food styling and plating up a notch. But would definitely be coming back to this place again.

Love this place, great location and great food. You do have to wait for food though but it does get busy. Went for breakfast after a ride into the city. Coffee is great as is the toast and sides. Just get in early as it fills fast.

It was new exp and was perfect. Milky butter, great texture, new scrambled eggs. We ordered chilli crab and french toast latte and iced choc. Even drink was fantastic

Two of us dropped into this fantastic restaurant for lunch and spent $42 on two cocktails and the vegetarian deep-fried falafel’s with Hummus and beans. The main was absolutely delightful and a very large serve that is easily able to be shared with two people. The service was friendly & attentive. As a local it’s great to see such excellent food & service. Will definitely go back again.

Really great breakfast. Everyone loved the French toast. My wife really enjoyed her falafel for breakfast too. Well worth going out of your way for.

The food, the service, the price , all amazing. Very popular with all and sundry. Bar manager Javier, an absolutely amazing host. All staff very competent and friendly.

Staff were pleasant, food was nice but I asked for no bacon on my French Toast and substitute it for mushrooms being I don’t eat meat, I was told they don’t do substitutes. Upon paying, the price of the French Toast was the same $19.00 although it had no bacon. I asked to have to have $5.00 removed from the price as this is what extra bacon costs and they refused, charging me full price and stating you get extra berries, I think I counted 3 more than my mate got on his meal.No staff seemed to have the authority or ethics to make a decision, claiming it was the owners policy.Seems they care more for profits than providing a great eating experience.Not getting anymore of my money, good luck, hope your greediness doesn’t bring about your businesses demise.

Great location, friendly service and most importantly, excellent food! My favourite dish was the chilli crab scrambled eggs which I highly recommend. Coffee was also excellent here, although unfortunately they only sell coffee beans in 1kg bags ($50).

Lovely open space to chat with friends, interesting menu options and nice service. The lamb gyros and sticky chai were tasty, only complaint would be they dont do swaps, hence the four stars. My friend is vegetarian and wanted to swap out smoked salmon in the passionfruit dish for lower value tomato, given the few veg options available at most cafes I feel swaps should be allowed. Otherwise unfair for vegetarians to pay the same amount without the meat.

Charming cafe with a great atmosphere and delicious food. We both got the fresh toast and it was fantastic.

Twenty minutes wait for a coffee (served way too hotisn’t ideal on a morning the cafe didn’t seem to busy. When the food comes out before the (badcoffee you’ve got issues. Other than that though, a good experience. Staff are super friendly, food was top quality and great decor and atmosphere.

Gorgeous little place on Mount Street, awesome menu. Had the warm beetroot salad with a side of salmon which was huge and partner had chilli crab scrambled eggs which was also delicious. The French toast on the table next to us was also looking mighty fine. Nitro cold brew was exceptional. Friendly and fast table service, open late on Friday nights. Well definitely be back, lovely venue.

Love this place for breakfast when I visit Perth. It is open early even on a Sunday when other cafes are not. Service was friendly and waiters seemed genuinely interested in our plans while visiting Perth. The place seemed popular with cyclists being located just a stones throw away from the bike path along the highway.We will return again for sure.

If I could give no star I will, Had a salmon omelette this morning, it was absolutely over pricing, huge amount of mixed leaf on top few pieces of salmon and tiny omelette at the bottom, at least coffee wasnt that bad. Few staff walk around taking to each other,Wont be back anymore.

Dear Mount Street Breakfast Bar,I ordered the Roasted Mushrooms, Walnut Pesto, Poached Eggs + Sourdough plus a flat white coffee and it looks amazing, wonderful, fabulous, excellent, spectacular, marvellous and it must taste truly remarkable and awesome. The Mushrooms are cooked to perfection, Sourdough bread is crunchy the middle and crust and moist in between, poached eggs are boiled to perfection and flat white taste so incredible. Hospitality is just awesome and atmosphere is terrific, thanks to you approximately 6 to 9 staff members on Australia Fathers Day. 😀 :Plus it cost $22.50 but will pay them $30.00 an increase of 33.333334% for their friendly service and hospitality and others plus lockdown during the COVID-19 pandemic but they didnt accept $7.50 due to EFTPOS machine and their system so instead I gave $50 extra tip on top of $22.00, total cost $72.00, it is worth it.This is as of Wednesday 29th September 2021 at 7:30am AWST.I ordered Salmon Pastrami Omelette with Goats Cheese plus Spinach and Avocado for $23Hot Chocolate for $4Ordered at 7:17am on Wednesday 29th September 2021 and the drink arrived first then the breakfast came at exactly 7:25am. Mount Street is fantastic for breakfast and brunch! Great spot with free parking on the weekend. The menu is different and really well executed. Price and serving sizes are very generous. Definitely a must try 😊

I had a brunch of sides, which was delicious;- Service is excellent. The waiters are accommodating and efficient;- Their coffee is great; and- Calming ambience - tinted lighting, Persian-style rugs on walls and exaggerated lamp shades.

Wow what a great little place! A hidden gem! Crazy busy with business folk! The coffee was smashing, and the food was of the highest note too! Even our kids were very impressed.

To start off the seating and area is beautiful! Staff were really friendly and helpful. The food was delicious! The coffee was pretty good also. Plenty of parking right out the front and such a quiet street. Awesome place in general and would highly reccomend

Visited this little cafe on mount st we had two main course. Grilled asparagus, salmon, poached eggs was perfect and the almond sauce was really nice. The other one we had was The spicy shredded beef brisket flovers was well balanced we had two juices watermelon passion and the wheatgrass was really refreshing and the service was really good.

Our only regret was that we tried this place on the first morning of our trip, so everywhere we went for breakfast afterwards paled in comparison.The food options were varied and all of them sounded wonderful. It was difficult to choose only two. My lamb dish was awesome but my partners mustard and cheese waffles stole the show. Legitimately one of the best breakfasts Ive had.We will definitely be back the next time we are in Perth.

This place is awesome. The staff are super nice and attentive. The food is impeccable. The asparagus, salmon and poached egg dish sounds unusual but it tastes great. The coffee is some of the best in this area. Prices are pretty good too, considering the quality. Will be back for sure.

Somewhat challenging to get to by car/foot, but worth it.First time here for breakfast adjacent to/in the ground floor of a funky little boutique hotel that we had no idea existed until now?Small, but eclectic, menu to choose from (appears to change regularlythat was a pleasant deviation from the standard "eggs & bacon" variations found at most cafès but still very breakfast-y for those looking for a morning nosh up.In summary, Food & Coffee was great, ambience pleasant, service was prompt, friendly and helpful.

Get the Turkish eggs! Wow - amazing! Two poached eggs sitting in the most amazing combination of natural yogurt, cucumber, dill and other elements of delicious is unreal! My tip is to break up the accompanying toast and let it soak up the sauce. Friendly service and coffee served piping hot! Loved it
