Mound of Glory - Memorial park in Hlybokaye, Belarus
This is a must see location, even in the snow its breath taking
Да и с высоты посмотреть на белорусские просторы тоже здорово!(Translated by Google)Another place of military glory to the heroes - liberators of Minsk. I recommend visiting the mound with children. It will be interesting for kids to climb the tanks located at the foot of the mound. And its great to look at the Belarusian open spaces from above!
(Translated by Google)Worth the time if your route runs nearby. In addition to the Kurgan itself - an airplane, tanks, guns, Katyusha. Children are interested. There is a cafe, parking, toilets.
Beautiful place...
(Translated by Google)Clean, neat. Very nice view from the observation deck. Good lighting at night. Looks majestic.
Ok
(Translated by Google)We love this place very much, especially like to come here at sunset. Children ask questions about the war, touch history. A gorgeous view opens up from Kurgan, and after sunset a lot of May beetles appear, I think these memories will remain in childrens memory forever... Today it was especially touching to watch a family with children flying kites in a peaceful sky against the backdrop of Kurgan
Обязательно подымитесь на самый верх, ступенек 200+( посчитайте сами 🤗)(Translated by Google)Well worth a visit! Show the children and dont forget ourselves !!! Be sure to climb to the very top, 200+ steps (count yourself 🤗)
Good
(Translated by Google)Beautiful ennobled territory. But the pond is very shallow and the water is dirty. And a cafe in the Soviet style spoils the picture.
(Translated by Google)Traveled with children on May 9th.I really liked the Kurgan itself, and the exhibition of military equipment, and the pond.
(Translated by Google)It may not be worth going to the Mound of Glory specially. But if you are passing by, do not rush and the weather is good - be sure to visit. There are some military equipment, a small artificial reservoir, a cafe (mostly fast-food), the avenue of fame and the mound itself. Actually, the entrance to the parking lot for mere mortals is closer to the cafe. When climbing the mound, be careful (especially with children), because the steps are not limited to the handrail.
(Translated by Google)This is a memorable place where people who respect peace, tranquility and well-being will always come.On the memorable and special day on May 9, 2021, the participants of the rally not only laid flowers at the mound of glory, but also thuja in the form of a five-pointed star were planted and a message was laid to the descendants from veterans and participants of the rally. We remember, we are proud, we mourn the loss, we celebrate the victory.
Unique architecture, amazing pictures taken
Historical monument 25 km away from Minsk. Must visit for everyone who is planning to visit the city.Small but interesting expo of the Soviet military vehicles, amongst the others there is Experimental T10... must see
Как вам?(Translated by Google)A great view opens up from above. And in the evening Sanya said that the lanterns on the track make like a runway, and its beautiful. We were passing by on a bike trip so there are a lot of pictures! We wish you to visit this place. Also nearby there is a cafe where you can get coffee. How do you like it?
Great monument
Мне понравилось!(Translated by Google)The place is cool. Top view when the fields are squeezed ...There are always visitors. As it turned out, the review was paid. I think 90% do not even know about it.It would be nice if there was a sign with information for children near the mound itself. And then there are a lot of tablets, and even an adult is reluctant to read them. The technique is superb. IL-2 inspires tremulous feelings. Beautifully installed "Katyusha. Its good that there is parking for a large number of vehicles.I like it!
Страшновато спускаться было, я высоту боюсь, а тут ещё и ветер сильный, но осилил и подъем и спуск.👍☺️(Translated by Google)I have long dreamed of visiting here, but I put it off until later, already under 50, I think, if still for later, then never. Arrived, saw, impressed! It was scary to go down, I’m afraid of the heights, and there’s also a strong wind, but I mastered both the ascent and the descent.
Amazing in the winter, one of my best experience ever. Feeling minus 20 though
Visited during our two-week tour in Belarus. Impressive place.
Must have
(Translated by Google)A very beautiful place. It takes some effort to go up. Each step has lanterns, so you can go up even in the dark. From the top there is an amazing view for many kilometers around. Below are visible small, like toy cars. I highly recommend visiting this place with your family, everyone will be satisfied.
Very spectacular view!!
Majestic monument, wonderful view
Impressive monument and good exercise.
Nice monument but not that easy to get to
Great Soviet monument
Nice to walk around
Wonderful place to commemorate the heroic deed of Soviet people.
Great place. It is very difficult come to the top...you should try it. Only writing this post I understood the idea of this monument. I was really impressed, but did not understand it. Few years later...but better later than never
Because it makes me feel the inner peace and nearer to God.
Historic place
Since I had 3 hours to spare before my airplane flight I decided to stop there and visit. It is truly an amazing sight. Once you get on top you can see alot of Belorusian land and beautiful fields. You can even see Minsk from it. Definitely a place you should visit if anyone goes to Belarus.
Mound of glory is massive memorial that towers over the mostly flat land of Belarus. It is most impressive in its size however there is not much more to it. The view from the top is almost entirely flat grain fields as far as the eye can see.
It’s worth to see. Try to climb up the hill and see Minsk.
Need to be visited, especially on the sunset!
Great historic place
Good place with a small military museum (outdoor exposition). Cafe and toilets available.
Inspiring
A compact and Vivid Soviet Memorial to the operation that liberated Belarus in 1944. A bunch of Tanks beside it and nice coffee place with cakes.
Stunning.
Amazing view even during the night
Great place and the best view in Minsk.
Foriegn tourists should visit this place. Definitely
Beautiful place.
The Mound of Glory was built to commemorate Belarus liberation from the Nazis in World War 2.The mound is 35m tall and contains soil taken from all over Belarus. The climb to the top involves two paths that go in opposite directions each of over 240 steps and there is no handrail so stick to the inside if you dont like heights as the sides are very steep! The bayonets on top take the height to 70.6m and there is a beautiful mosaic on the inside of the large ring. When staying in Belarus in 1972 Fidel Castro was reported to have run up the side of the mound on his morning jogs and his security was unable to follow him.At the base where you park there is an open air museum containing various tanks and artillery pieces. Adjacent to this area is a cafe and seating area. The area is easy to get to if you have access to a vehicle or even a taxi as its adjacent to a major highway around 20km out of Minsk.Like other monuments of this type around Belarus it is common for newlyweds to have their photos taken here.
Cool place with great panoramic view from the top. Hard to get to as it requires a car.
Nothing interesting.
