The second biggest museum in Zambia has some interesting historical artifacts. You can delve into the past and for a moment, be a part of it. Its a 3KM drive from the main road in Mbala town, which, unfortunately is eroded. But you can try there patiently, its worth it it.

The Moto Moto Museum offers its visitors a breathtaking journey through Zambias military history during colonial times. It documents at length the contribution Zambia made in the 1st World War by way of its young men, commonly referred to as the Tenga Tenga. Their slogan states, "We carried the war on our backs."

Worth visit but access road is horrible. No sign boards and Google map also showing very bad roads instead of the graded road though it is longer

Good museum,a lot of researched artifacts and articles but I wasnt happy about the access road,the facts about the first and 2nd world war.Big volumes of how the war ensued and ended has been diluted to the core of detestable and manipulated half truths by the contributors which I suspect must have been Bembas.Why didnt they collect the facts from Mambwe-Lungusgallant soldiers who survived the wars like the late Com.Kasoma of Muswilo village?

Its the best ethnography museum l have ever seen and have potential to attract more tourists, both local and foreign.The road leading to the museum from town center needs upgrading to bituminous standard (Tarring), through to St. Marys College of Education.

Very educational and historic informations are availabe here. worth visiting here, if you are visiting Mbala or Mupulungu or Kalambo Falls. Lot of archeologicals things and descriptions are avaiable to learn the history.
