Motel 6 Allentown PA in Allentown

The hotel is clean, well lite, very friendly staff. We checked in without delay. The room was clean, bright. Nice TV on the wall 2 queens. Quite heating/ac unit. Clean bathroom with everything you need. The price was better than some other local Motels we have booked, and actually WAS BETTER than some Hotel/Motels that I have stayed for twice the price. THIS MOTEL 6 IS DOING IT RIGHT. They are pet Friendly even though I did not have. I did read someone comments about cats so be sure to check their Pet policy in full. We had reservations after an event, with us we had a truck and trailer, when we came to check in the front desk receptionist came out yelling saying we can’t park here. It was 130 in the morning and she made us leave because we had a truck and trailer. My 12 yr old asked to us the bathroom before we left and she screamed at him saying we only have a bathroom for paying guests. Very rude and unprofessional.

Motel looked nice, clean, and newly renovated. Unfortunately, we did not get to enjoy our stay because we were kicked out for having a cat.I have been staying in numerous Motel 6s all over the country for over a decade. Never have a had a problem with the cat. However, before traveling and booking a Motel 6, I always check the website. Their own website stated that "pets" are allowed and welcomed. There was no further elaboration.To our shock, we discovered that this particular location does not consider cats to be pets. Apparently, a 150 pound pit bull is completely fine, but my tiny kitten is a dangerous animal. So we were asked to leave after being presented with their official policy of only dogs being allowed.I get it, its a business and they can do as they please. But why was the fact that cats a prohibited was not stated ANYWHERE on the website? When I booked my room, I put a checkmark where it said "pet". A cat is a pet! What the hell?This whole ordeal lead to us frantically calling the other motels around trying to locate a place that allows cats. We travelled there for a concert, and after finally being able to locate an establishment that welcomes cats we nearly missed the event, were forced to drive during horrific traffic in Philadelphia during rush hour, and spent a lot of extra cash on that new hotel.So... I guess before traveling with you cat or a hamster (because who knows, hamster might also considered to be a dangerous animal), call them to be absolutely sure.

Rooms are clean but a little on the small side.

Motel 6 is by far the best hotel in the area the staff is on top of everything from the room to the parking lot and even the elevator is clean

Terrible if youre iin a wheelchair. Only 2 ppl allowed in a Handicap Accessible room .It was myself, my son and granddaughter so they put us in a room on the 2nd floor. Could not move in the room, When you cant walk. My shower stool couldnt fit in the tub and the water pressure is a joke. Wouldnt recommend this place. It was very uncomfortable. Couldnt wait to leave Motel Hell

Hooked me up with 2 rooms at a great price with absolutely no notice on my part, 2 days in a row. Super friendly staff, clean rooms, convenient location.

We checked in late so the parking lot was pretty full. People were hanging out in the lobby playing the gambling machines at 2am and couple of people smoking out front. Did not feel as safe as I would have liked with my wife as we checked in.

Pet friendly. Upon arrival they had treats for our dogs as well as towels set aside for them. Rooms were very clean and modern. Non-carpeted floors which was very nice. Free WIFI & cable, washer and dryer. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms are small and the beds are more like a full size than a queen. Not the most comfortable beds but they held up. Go for a double bed if you want a little more room, the single bed room is quite small. Overall I was very happy with my stay would definitely come back.

Facility is clean and well-appointed, front desk staff very polite and helpful. Only issue is with the fact that the rooms all seem to have hard flooring instead of carpet, which means you tend to be awakened all night by the sound of people moving around on the floors above you.

Terrible staff not all staff but just one. Always rude to coworkers and African American guests especially young ones. 3rd floor has cockroaches 🪳🪳 Never staying at a motel 6 ever again unless it owned by corporate not a franchise. Lunitics working here. Maintenance guy is very helpful when my T.V. wasnt working properly.

As dog friendly a motel as Ive ever seen, especially for a low price. They had a dog walk area, dog treats/waste bags at the door, and overall made it easy for us to have our goldendoodle spend the night.

BREAKING CORPORATE POLICY - NO CATS ALLOWEDDespite corporate policy clearly dictating ALL motel 6 must take pets (dog or cat up to a total weight of 150lb with a limit of 2this motel 6 has decided to violate that without making that clear. After 12 hours on the road, this motel 6 refused to allow us a room because we had a cat. When I clarified with corporate, they verified this is unacceptable unless local law dictates it. - which according to the front desk was not the case. The owner OF THIS LOCATION has decreed no cats.

I stayed here last night and had such a good experience! The lady that works the front desk named Rayanne went above and beyond to accommodate me and was so pleasant to talk to. I would come back to this specific location just because she made my visit here so much more pleasant!

This is a horrible motel with equally horrible and nasty staff and workers. I was on a business trip from New York, extremely tired and exhausted and arrived to the establishment for my approximately 3:00 pm reservation. The lady at the front desk , thin, in her early 50s, glasses, dark hair pulled back, began to be extremely nasty to me. She very rudely kept insisting that there was no reservation under my name. She started raising her voice at me and my business partner as we were trying to show her that we had made the reservation. She very rudely started yelling at us, in front of other people in the motel , lobby. She yelled "What dont you understand! GET OUT OF HERE!". When we asked to speak to the manager, she yelled , "I am the manager!" We kept apologizing to not make her more upset, but we hadnt done anything to instigate this type of behavior from her in the first place. She kept screaming at us, even when we explained that we were tired and had just worked many hours of hard construction labor, she still continued yelling. She kicked us out the motel very harshly. I was embarrassed, humiliated, and felt violated and harassed. Me and my business partner had no where else to go, we were left on the street despite having made the reservation. The lady at the desk didnt even try to be kind and offer us another room or make other accommodations, despite the fact that the motel was definitely in the wrong. We would not be traveling to another state to work without reserving a room in a motel to stay in. This lady had such a lack of humanity, Ive never been so disrespected in my life. We slept in my car that night, barely able to sleep peacefully as we were afraid of our surroundings, especially at night in an unknown area in another state. That night, we made another reservation to book a room and it had shown that we did in fact book again. We went back the next day, and were met with the same lady in the front. Again, she started screaming at us to leave. She had a vendetta against us for sure. Completely ridiculous. I would not recommend this horrible place, they treat their clients like garbage. Try not to book any room with this motel, because obviously their system is flawed and even if you make a reservation, there is a very low guarantee that youll actually get the room. 1/5 for sure. Horrible, horrible, horrible. Also, that lady in the front definitely needs to be fired. This all took place on Monday , September 13th, 2021.

Its a Motel 6: a room with a bed and a small bath. The walls are a little thin so bring a noise maker. Had an issue with a guest below me and the staff took care of it promptly. They are pet friendly which is nice. No hairdryer in room but staff got one for me. Ice is only in lobby. Fast elevator.

The only reason I gave it 2 stars instead of one is because the lady at the front desk was nice. This hotel is NOT for families. There was visible mold in the bathroom. The bedding was questionable on cleanliness. I Lysoled everything before I let the kids touch anything. This seems like a nice place to stay if you are a transient or if you need anonymity to take your lady of the night out.

I would give a zero star review of the motel if I could, and will not be staying at Motel 6 again. Our reservation was not honored, we where informed that the prior days guest decided to stay an extra day. We had booked the mobile access room because my wife has limited physical capabilities. We were assigned a small room with the refrigerator and microwave jutting out into the passageway. My wife was unable to take a shower in the mourning because of the full tube with no mobile access.

Unable to give negative star review..Well it was a visual experience to say the least... One would think with COVID going on the rooms would be clean but, this was NOT the case. There was dust hanging from the ceiling, the hard surface areas in the room were covered in fingerprints, I have no idea what was all over the walls, the bathroom floors had hair and some type of sticky gum in the floor. I would have stayed anywhere else if I could have but everything was sold out. I slept on top of the covers after I put my blanket down. I wish I had taken photos because other than all the dirt and grime the bathtub was pretty comical. I dont think Ive ever seen something so small. It was literally child size.

The hotel was decent, upon arrival we did notice how small the outside was. Once we reached the front desk we were greeted by Lisa who was VERY nice. Very quick to check us in, even with our 2hr early check in (requested beforehand), she was very welcoming and very nice. Any time we walked by she said hello and/or goodbye. Fast check out.The room was Very small, we had requested a queen size bed and were pretty sure (after going back home to our actual queen bedthat it was a full sized bed. The mattress itself unfortunately was also Very very very uncomfortable, cheap-very firm mattress. But the room was clean, the hotel itself was clean. Lobby, hallways & etc. The hotel was also pretty quiet minus people setting 1 set of fireworks in the hotel parking lot at 12:30am, that we did not enjoy.The cleaning staff was also very kind. Probably wouldnt stay again due to mattress size & discomfort but if that changed, would stay again!

Bait and switch room rate from online advertised price. Irate hesitancy about advertised "pet friendly" policy. Terrible service from this operator, would not recommend. 15 miles west down 78 another motel 6 with excellent and pleasant service, no hesitation on pet policy, and a much better deal. You decide.

Terrible experience. Booked a two queen bed room and was "recompensed" by the biggest room, which meant nothing. I got the handicapped room. Nobody called me. I only got an email which I did not see cause I was driving 8 hours. Imagine my surprise walking in to a one bed room with 2 other adults and a baby. I called twice to make sure my reservation was all set and they told me yes. Will not be going to any Motel 6 if this is how they operate.

This hotel is horrible, I booked 2 rooms late May and when we arrived to check in one of the rooms had a horrible smell but the lady at check in said they were just cleaned. When we came back later that night we tried to go to our rooms to sleep, but we were kicked out of the motel because the rooms were already sold to someone else. And I had not where else to stay so I had to drive back home at 3:30 AM in the morning from PA to NY with my six kids. I claimed my money the same day, and they said that they will refund my money back to my account, but I didnt receive it.

We went through 3 rooms first one had roaches, second one was fine. We extended another week and had to change rooms. Third room had bed bugs. They blew it off like it was me. We wake up at 11:30 and they refunded us and told us we had 30 minutes to be out. Wifi was horrible, rooms were horribly small. The young man who sometimes works the front desk stands on the side of the building and smokes weed. There are regulars who live there and set up chairs in the parking lot and spend all day there.

Bedding was stained upon arrival, AC didnt seem to work at all, company booked room for me and when they tried to extend my stay they told us they were booked full even though online they would allow you to book and pay. All the staff I met were very unprofessional aside from the nighttime lady who checked us in who was a sweetheart. I would literally pay extra to stay somewhere else if given the option.

Horrendous experience. Tried to take a shower and the shower was clogged and dirty water just pooled up. I woke up in the morning with a dozen red itchy bite marks which I could only assume are bed bugs. Had to throw away my stuff before going back home. Horrible experience. Asked for the manager and was told they are not around. I Left my number and was promised the manager would reach out. Did someone call me to rectify what happened? Nope. The person in the front desk offered me a 20% discount for my next stay. I almost started laughing... yeah sure. How is this place still in business? This place should be flagged by health department.

The motel is bare bones but fairly new and well maintained. Staff was welcoming and I was able to get my boarding pass printed. I slept well and was not in the room enough to find fault. Oh, the shower head was difficult to adjust. Just a hard stream.

The staff were very friendly, and the rooms were cute and clean. However, the pillows were quite thin and lumpy, and the floors felt abnormally sticky from the cleaning chemicals. Overall, an okay visit for a very affordable price.

The people were nice. The room was clean, the a/c worked well. The water was hot. Actually the room #217 was pretty nice. I checked out just before 11:00. No one hassled me. Other motels l have been to will start harrasing you around 10:00.

First thank you for being open and available on the evening that we stayed, we were traveling and had not made arrangements for a room. Unfortunately in the room we found empty Dog food cans and the television did not operate. We were told the next morning had to turn on a light switch to get the TV to work. Though inexpensive, room could have had more attention before renting guests.

Overall it was a great stay. Rooms were clean and employees were extremely nice. The only thing I found off putting was the fact that I had to give a $100 deposit at check in. I was not aware of this ahead of time, and it seems unnecessary when you already have my card on file should there be damages.

I had a nice stay while I was on a business trip in the Allentown PA. I found the staff to be friendly with a smile and when it snowed and I did not have a brush/scraper to clean off my van, the front desk clerk gave me an old towel.I used it and it was adequate to take the snow off.I appreciated room itself. It was very well laid out and functional. I really liked the key system where it was just place the key near the lock and it unlocked it. That way when i had an armful of stuff I did not have to put it all down to put the key in the lock. It was much simpler. This hotel was more on the upper scale of Motel 6s. It was well worth the little extra cost to stay there over some of the other M 6s that are lesser in quality. I would recommend this hotel if you are in the Allentown PA

On the fence to give a 5 or 3 star. Check in/staff extremely fast and professional... rooms nicely remodeled European minimalist clean and attractive. But the walls and ceilings a poorly insulated and you can hear everything above and next to you. We also had a room on the ground floor not far from the lobby and people coming in all hours of the night were loud. Being close to the airport youll have that. People coming in all hours of the night and leaving extremely early to catch planes. So while the price is great and the building and staff were great you may not be able to count on restful sleep unless you are a very deep sleeper

Excellent experience at this bare bones establishment. Service was excellent. The room was clean and had faux wood floors which was appropriate as it was a pet room and they allowed me to bring a golden retriever and golden mix at no extra expense for $63 for the night. The room had a microwave and fridge. If it were a fancy five star place I’d give it 5 stars.

Our room was the size of a closet. Biggest issue was how rudely we were treated overall. The man that checked me in was fantastic. We had a problem with our ac, our room was hot and muggy. I went down to the desk and asked someone to look at it the next day since we would be gone for the day. when we got back nothing was done, I went to the desk. had to use a phone because no one could be bothered being at the desk. they told me they would check. my husband answered the phone and the guy told my husband I was a liar and we had two choices, deal with it or leave. when I went back to the front desk, i again had to use the phone. the girl that i dealt with was so rude to me and again told me i was a liar. Never again at this location and will be sure to tell everyone else we know

Convenient location. Takes pets without additional charge. Clean except the shower grout was moldy. No breakfast. Thin walls - could clearly hear other guests - I only needed ear plugs for an hour or so, though. Interesting modern decor but I dont think it will hold up and will soon look shabby. Staff was friendly. Happy we had access to luggage cart - made our visit much easier because we had a lot of supplies for our cat. Also happy there was no carpeting - no stains! Cat liked looking out the window!

Motel Six is a low cost, budget hotel.You arent paying for a big room and a lot of amenities.What you get is a very clean, comfortable room at a great price.Pet Owners: dog friendly, no pet fee, great location.I would have paid more in pet fees for the week than I paid for my room.The room was small but extremely functional. Nice work space.Great stay, see you again soon.

The room (the redesign was amazing!and location were wonderful, as was the service leading up to the stay and checking in. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was roomy and pretty darn spectacular. Unfortunately, a group of college fraternity types were on the floor above me and partied HARD until roughly 2-3am. Despite repeated calls for the front desk to do something, the partied continued until it died out in the wee hours. In the proprietors defense, the gentlemen doing the partying were a bit rough. I would not have wanted to deal with them either. Still, sans that situation, it would have easily been at 10/10.

Terrible customer service. Was harrased nearly every time I walked through the door. From telling me we HAD to get our room cleaned (after being there for 2 nights), to rudely telling us to bring our towels down, to telling us we had to be out of our room one day for them to clean the air conditioner. At check in, I was given a key to a room that was already occupied and walked in on 2 people. Had to go back to the front desk for another room. The girl working at checkout was extremely rude - did not even care to ask how my stay was, which I believe is the first time I have ever stayed at any hotel and that has happened. My sink was clogged up, the toilet leaked on the bottom, and they refused to fix either. Also, the beds were very uncomfortable and the Wi-Fi was terrible and did not work half of the time. It was an extremely unpleasant week, and I would have gone somewhere else, but I honestly did not trust that they would give me my money back, so we stuck it out. We will absolutely not be staying there again.

Priced well, but the room was dirty. The tub was very small and had to place a towel in the tub to keep from slipping. We also had to put towels down on the floor to keep from slipping. Good thing we brought our own towels. The bed was not as comfortable as other Motel 6 we have stayed at.

Love the new renovation style. Great for those of us with pets.Bath renovation was poorly done. A shame since the decor is so great.Does not help that the maid service does not realize that the wall area around the bath trash can needs to be cleaned regularly.Otherwise, could not be more pleased.Room 212.Diane Estes

Nice hotel, good service at the arrival. The floor was very sticky. The price was good, the comfort a bit less. In one room we had a bug in the bathroom. It was too loud, you could hear all your neighbours including a dog.

Instead of a welcome, how are you doing? we were greeted with this is a non-smoking hotel! As if we had not seen the signs posted everywhere... Then the clerk quoted us a price higher than what wed found online. So my husband turned to leave and the clerk quickly offered to lower it by $5. - We were exhausted, we accepted.- When I asked about breakfast I received the curt reply: Coffee. I guess the breakfast area with a microwave and toaster and the like was just for decoration. Across from our room we heard a small dog barking continually. As soon as we opened our door an unidentifiable odor hit us. I tried to tell myself that it must be chemicals. The window of our ground floor room was so smudged that it was difficult to see outside. It reminded me of glass thats dirty after a dog has been licking it and sniffing it because it wants to go outside. The queen size bed had two flat standard size pillows on it and did not look inviting at all. The room echoed because there is no carpet, which is okay, and no pictures. Pretty uninviting though. Mind you, this place has been built only two years ago, yet there are deep gashes in the walls, the tub is damaged, the floor is not clean and there are stains on several walls, some even looked like blood spatters. Gross. The TV guide consisted of a filthy printed sheet, full of grease stains and either buggers or dead bugs, I dont know which. I took it to the front desk and requested a new one. The clerk apologized and rummaged in a drawer until he found another copy. Well, I think Motel 6 can keep its light on but were not planning on staying there again.

Not bad for the price. Rooms are okay size. Did smell moldy and they dont replace towels or sheets for a multiple day stay. No thrills or frills stay, literally a place to sleep. No morning munchies or coffee either. To be honest if your looking for a stay in experience this place isnt it, then again I was only here to sleep so I feel that this place is a great deal.

The room was nice and modern walking in but when looking closer it was dirty...The bathroom floor had hair, the table had crumbs, and the frame of the bed was disgusting, The sheets were stained and the room smelled bad. We ended up leaving. On the upside the front office attendant was polite and the motel itself was quiet when walking to the room.

Cleanliness was clearly not a priority, floors needed to be swept mopped and the place was generally unclean and the room was very small, you could barely walk around the beds. Just travelling through but I didnt feel safe in this hotel nor did I feel like my car and belongings were safe in the parking lot as there were A LOT of unsavory characters milling about this place. Wouldnt recommend or stay here again.

The place is good for the price. Pets are allowed and there was a lot of parking. The hotel was in a little bit of a sketchy area and had very few perks (there wasnt even shampoo in the bathroom and the mattress were a little cheap). That said for the price you cant go wrong, very clean room and nice aesthetics. Definitely getting what you pay for no more, no less.

No extra fee for pets. The whole first floor had no carpet which is great in case your pet would happen to have an accident. Everyone a the hotel was super nice & everything was clean. By far the best motel 6 Ive ever stayed at.

The first room they gave me had hair and crumbs all over the sheets. I asked for a second room. The second one was better about the sheets, but the fridge looked like it was never cleaned. Looked like spilled milk inside. Neither room seemed to have the floors swept, much less mopped. Dirt and hair and mud on the floor. The hotel looks relatively new, but they should hire someone to clean it.
