Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park - National park in Hwange, Zimbabwe
A place worth visiting, three of the big five live here.
Aaah yes Mosi-oa- Tunya National park...the best place to be for the need of Adventure...One gets to see the most indigenous animals... Bird watching, elephant ride, RINO walks boat cruises and many more...indeed it is a best place to be!!!
Radisson Blu Hotel in Livingstone almost open for business. Stunning structure with a fantastic view of the mighty Zambezi River. Visit Livingstone and enjoy world class hospitality
its nice to be at Victoria falls in Zambia
Beautiful place full animals.
The smallest national park in Zambia but still you can see elephants, rhinos and water buffalos. There are no cats in the park
Such natural beauty and splendour. An inspring experience.
We had a good break during our stay in Livingstone. We missed the Rhinos though, otherwise we did see quite a few wildlife
Pretty straight forward park, easy to do a self drive through the park. And has a lovely water front where you can hang out with friends and family. It also has braii areas along the river
With the added hyena and her twin cabs the Mosi oa Tunya national park is a very cozy close to nature too....
Went on white rhino tour on foot. No predators in this park. Less game spotted than other resorts. Picnic area lovely next to zambezi river
The park is quite impressive though it depends on time you visit it,Its quite easy to find animals because of the small area of the parkI like it.
Loved every second of the experience. The rain forest is a must see. Forget the ponchos and umbrellas. Getting wet is part of the fun!
Lot’s of animals available for viewing. Awesome place
This was such a beautiful park and a beautiful experience. The Victoria Falls are amazing and glorious to behold. Definitely a must see location if youre ever in Livingstone
Not the best park in Zambia. For locals, great place to get out for a few hours. Great picnic spots for sure.In terms of wildlife, very little to see other than the usual impala, giraffe etc, plains game. Some of the best sunsets Ive ever witnessed were in this park, right on the end of the river.
We did a self drive, was an awesome experience, cam across white rhino, elephants, zebra, giraffe and various smaller animals, the park rangers where very friendly and helpful will definitely be going back.
One of the best places in the country to view elephants, hippos, giraffes and a few other wild animals.
This is a fantastic place to be. Victoria Falls, and other fun things to do.
A must if travelling to livingstone. Birds and wild animals all over. The tour guides were very knowledgeable.
2nd to none! You want awe? Just look at and listen to thousands of litres of water crushing onto the canal below. You want fear? Well, thats all around you - one wrong turn and its hard to imagine the results! You want fun? Stand in one of several locations and have a thousand drops of mist water descend on you. Or stand in the middle of knife-edge bridge and experience both fun and fear at the same time!
Loved it walking with lion and lioness .It was the outstanding feeling and at the same time feel of a walk with the king was unbelievable
Its very natural park, very good adventure but price are to high. I have enjoyed lots went with family, good experience once in life time.
The thrill you get here depends on time of the year you visit. With so much Rains in 2020-2021 rain season, 2021 is the best year to visit.
Pretty quite for this time of the year. Due to reduced number of people, much easier to see the wild animals.
It is the nice place with a a lot of different wild animals, as well as the birds and the Victoria falls is just near by the park
The smallest national park in Zambia! But they got rihnoes there!! You can get off the Jeep to see them in a close distance, of course with the escort of rangers!!
Avani and Royal Livingstone amazing place,so serene very friendly staff and good food. The rooms were clean and the wandering zebras grazing on the gardens breathtaking. Great places for family....the Victoria falls just a few minutes from the hotel
We visited in the dry season so the falls were only impressive in sections, others were dry. However, those parts flowing were an assault on the senses and well worth seeing. The walking route is tiring and quite uneven in places. It is best tackled at a cool time of the day and will be difficult for those with limited mobility.
I visited this park via a sunset cruise. Very relaxing and safe way to spot game in their national habitat.
I dont need to tell you this is the must go for Livingstone, but I will anyway. Definitely go here. And while you are at it book a trip near a full moon for special night entry to the park to catch the lunar rainbow!
Great!! We came upon a feeding so it was amazing at close range.
I had an interesting experience when a monkey strayed into our room and got away with sugar and other room coffee/tea making goodies which the hotel provides. It was as if that was his habit, this was later confirmed by the sign on the door which read "lock the door or else we will come in" as that wasnt enough some Zebra came grazing near our room. Talk about an experience with nature this was it. Zambia the real Africa!
The views from the panorama trail are excellent but the whole site is not well kept at all compared to the Zimbabwean site of the falls. Its quite unclean and some areas are broken, so it can be quite tricky to walk around safely. No personal on the trails at all. But still very worth to see.
Visiting the Victoria falls is a fabulous experience. But one that needs to be shared over two seasons to experience the falls at their majestic height as well as the changes during the dry season.
Beautiful, beautiful African Savannah and free roaming animals. You have to drive around a while before you see some thats- why I didnt give five stars- but you have lovely scenary in the mean time. Beautiful view of the Zambezi river too!
The game drive is unforgettable. There all sorts of site seeing, e.g, Bird viewing, Boat Cruise, Elephant ride, a walk with the Lions, the list is endless.
Amazing Safari experience with very knowledgeable local guide. The Safari tour is pricey, but you may get some discount if you negotiate well.
Magical 💖 this place can change your life. As the visitor this place allows me to see the amazing Victoria Falls from many angles. As my only request for the sake of not slipping on a wet rock walkway and the longevity of flora and fauna I would suggest raised wood or metal grate walkways so plants and animals can grow back. As a visitor, maybe take an umbrella, youll be able to enjoy some special areas for longer.
I thought it will just be another ride in a national park. To make the matter worst, we were in a 20 seater bus.The menu was also not very appetising. No big cats on the menu. They have free Lions in captivity. I want to see the king of the Savanah in its natural element. It was basically a journey to spot herbivores and few homnivores like the baboons. After what seems hours of spotting various types of antilope (mostly Impalasand baboons, we stopped by the banks of the Zambezi River and witness beautiful sceneries. A curious hippo came to check on us.The highlight of the tour was the walk to see the Rhinos. Simply exhilarating. They came so close that we had to retreat to the vehicle. Talk of an adrenaline rush.On the way back, we finally spotted a herd of elephants quenching their thirst in the river. At the end of the day. If was worth it.
Had a great experience in the Mosi-oa-Tunya national park in Livingstone! Come visit it and you will not regret it.
The best place to visit to have an experience with wildlife, see the zambezi River and the most breathtaking scene watching the sun set. It is indeed my best experience in the park to watch the sun set as it just gives this inner peace. Of course it is important to visit the park under the supervision of a tour guide for safety and to know where to go, what time to go and where not to go when you are to see some animals. I loved it and I would love you to have a feel of it 😍😍
Excellent wildlife park. We saw were here in two hours then we did in three days of Safari. Keep in mind there are no lions, hyenas, wild dogs or leopards in this park.
Very enjoyable. We were going to drive our own car but were convinced to get a tour with a guide and a big truck. Glad we did, the roads in the park are passable with difficulty but the guide knew all the good spots to find animals!
We had a safari drive through the conservation. The tour was part of our package from the hotel, but we were required to pay a token. We were also treated to a light picnic during the tour. You may take some of your own refreshments if you want, especially for kids below 6.We were only able to see a few of the animals in the wild - giraffes, zebras, buffalos and lots of impalas; but none of the big 5, sadly. Owing to the season, some of these animals, especially the elephants, have migrated and are not expected back till later in the year. You can research this. And if this is a priority for your trip, Id advise you enquire from the experts or tour desk before concluding your travel plans.Overall, being in the quite space with nature and the scouting for the animals was fun. And my children enjoyed the safari ride. And having a guide made the tour more educating than just about the animals. Learn about the first settlers - about David Livingstones experience passing through these places and even the migration of the settlers and the animals too.See in photo, old carcass of Elephants.
The game is beautiful around this time, grasses not to tall for viewing the animals. About all the park has really stocked up on wildlife.
The Zambian side of the falls is not as big or impressive as on the Zimbabwe side. But it was a good experience anyway. Do get a local guide to show you around.
This is the National Park that has the Zambia side of Victoria Falls and the Royal Livingstone Hotel. Incredible views of Falls, animals, and sunsets.
Absolutely Incredible! I have visited Victoria Falls three times, and this was by far my favourite time. The Zimbabwean side, has water all through the year, however the Zambian side of the falls I feel have better views of the falls.I recommend the Zambian side: December to mid-July, and the Zimbabwean side mid-July to November. If you can do both sides that would be the best. Or a helicopter flight over the falls. There are also loads of activities for you to do here, microlight flights(Zambia side), bungee jumping, bridge swinging, etc.
Lovely park and worth to have a visit but not put too much high expectations to see animals that you wanna see.
