Morning Glory Cafe in Flagstaff

The space is very cozy, and the server was friendly, but the place is so convinced the smell from the back was coming to the front and the front and my eyes were burning.

Good place if you’re looking for plant-based options. The food is pretty pricey but tastes fine. We paid $49 for two dishes -veggie bowl (ended up being mostly beansand burrito-an orange juice, and an iced coffee.There needs to be better signage regarding the intended flow of the restaurant, which I assume is: order, sit, eat, clear your table, then leave in a timely fashion, so others can do the same. Maybe it was just very busy when we visited, but we felt this needed to be a little more obvious.Overall, our experience was fine.

My partner wanted to try this place and I was trying to be amenable. Shoulda thrown a tantrum to go somewhere else...Almond milk does not, a chai latte make. It was bitter, whatever the opposite of creamy is (acrid?), and the almond milk started separating out after a few minutes, giving it a nice, chunky texture. The blue-corn cakes were as dry as an early summer Sonoran Desert. And I was really sad that they didnt have real butter, but maybe I was spared as the vegan butter the blue corn cakes were supposed to come with was omitted by the staff for whatever reason. After the long wait for the food, I decided to not say anything, just take what we got and GTFO. Absolutely NOT worth the price.

Its so nice to be able to order almost anything on the menu. Prices are a bit high for me, but I dont know if thats because of more expensive ingredients. I had the delux veggie Burrito, which was fantastic.

Loved this place! Really delightful people and the food was delicious. Also its full of beautiful art that is also for sale! Grateful for this beautiful little stop on my journey through Arizona.

What a tasty vegan food spot! We tried a couple vegan places in town and this one is definitely the most flavorful and creative! Highly recommend!

soo yummy! it was my first time there and i was thoroughly impressed! my only complaint is i totally missed it looking for it, it’s quite literally a little hole in the wall and a super small restaurant.the food was delicious, i took my non-vegan friend and she loved it! the vibes were homey and comfortable and there was so much to choose from on the menu.i will def be coming back!

We stopped in based on reviews. We were passing through and looking for a vegetarian /vegan restaurant. I got the hemp burger and soup. Both were pretty bland. The burger was dry. The reviews are pretty good though, so maybe we were just there on an "off" day.

This place is absolutely amazing and so are the staff! My food was so filling and fresh and delicious. I cannot express how much I miss this place and I can’t wait to come back.

Morning Glory is a rich part of Flagstaff’s history and current spiritual awakening. I was forever changed by Maria Ruiz and her community including current owner, Jewels Livingston, it’s not just a meal, it’s an event to come here. A healing experience.

I had the tamale breakfast combo and a matcha latte. Tasty but not filling. It was 1 tamale, some pinto beans and some tofu. The tamale was too wet and mushy. It tasted great but I didnt like the texture and I was still hungry afterwards. I will come back, though, to try other menu items.

Awesome vegan cafe. The staff was really friendly and helpful. There were lots of fun choices for food and it was really delicious. We had hemp burgers and the tempe avacado sandwich and blue corn cakes. The kids loved it. The coffee was really good and they had awesome cookies too!

This place is funky and cute and the staff are so lovely. The tofu sandwich was really good!

I was so impressed with this. Coming from New Mexico, it is impossible to find good Spanish/ Mexican food and they nailed it! Plus it was gluten free and actually Celiac safe. Everyone was friendly and the small town cafe atmosphere made it even better! I’m absolutely impressed!

Pretty good vegan place. As someone who is not vegan I found this place pretty good, albeit a bit pricey. The place is a little small so if it’s cold out and they’re busy you might have to take it to go. Pictured is the French toast and veggie breakfast sandwich.

The Morning Glory Cafe, is my favorite spot going through Flagstaff. The service is genuine and timely and the food absolutely surpasses the quaint Cafe vibes that make you feel at home. Best French toast Ive ever had! and you have to try their smoothies, especially after a night of maybe one too many drinks. The food here heals me. Best brunch spot in town.

Yes, it is THAT good. This quaint restaurant has been a local speciality for healthy food for decades, and they are still going strong.The staff are very friendly and receptive. The food is on point, no matter what you order. The creativity of favor and presentation inspires me to eat more vegan food.The coffee is *great*; I know this isnt a coffee place per say, but it was surprisingly great (and I worked as a barista). I ordered the blue corn berry pancakes and I was blown away. You can just tell the quality is beyond any regular restaurant joint. The smoothies are so worth it, and they have some creative options!I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a healthy option, and youre supporting a local business; its worth every penny. Ill be visiting weekly!

Excellent food and it’s all local, vegan and mostly organic. The people who work there are inviting and seem to genuinely like their jobs. I always stop here when I’m in Flagstaff, it’s a bit pricy but you get what you pay for.

So yummy!!! I added Strawberries since I had some with me but the food was delicious!!! Between the family I tried the French toast... breakfast sandwich. And a breakfast burrito. They were all really tasty!!! I will come again next time we are in town.

This place is amazing! I am not easy to please when it comes to healthy food, but my Breakfast Sandwich was not only healthy but delicious. I definitely recommend this place.

We were originally thinking of Toasted Owl, but the Sunday breakfast/brunch wait is always CRAZY there. A quick google search revealed this little gem that weve somehow never been to, and Im so glad we tried it!Theres an excellent variety of options. I was particularly excited by all the blue corn items on the menu (pancakes, tamales, atole, etc). As a vegan, having an entire menu of different choices is such a lovely thing! The food is very filling, but because its essentially all homemade vegan food (besides a couple items like the DELIGHTFUL beyond meat sausageyou dont leave feeling gross or uncomfortable - just extremely satisfied.My partner and I will absolutely be back! Give this little place a try if you havent yet.

Fantastic place! Super friendly staff, delicious brunch options, especially the French toast and vegan sausage. Best vegan food we had and we are sad to be leaving it behind. Next time we’re in town this may be the only place we go to.

I ordered takeout from here while driving through and stopping for a day in Flagstaff. I wanted to support the veggie spots in town during my short visit. The atmosphere here is very hippy-esque. I ordered the deluxe hemp burger with potato wedges on the side and a chocolate chip cookie. The burger was pretty good, pesto is very heavy on garlic. Wedges were great. The chocolate chip cookie had a chalky texture and was crumbly, heavy on the coconut taste (I like coconut, just fyi for others). Street parking, free wifi, inside seating at a few tables. Id give it 3.5 stars if I could but rounding up ;)

Were pretty rude when ordering. They did not understand their own menu and couldnt turn make a bean taco in corn tortillas even though its right there on the menu.. It like hurt their brains that it would exist. They didnt have the hemp burger or gluten free bread, which is what I came for. Place is pretty run down and gross. I only ate here because I was starving. At least there were some friendly people. The people outside this place were definitely on drugs.

So if youre looking for vegan food this is a good place to go, if youre looking for organic food this is a very good place to go. However, its very dark in there and extremely hot...hotter than the outside and it was 90 some degrees in Flagstaff today.The people are very nice, the atmosphere is calm, although uncomfortable. To say more about their food; we got the hemp burger with blue tortilla chips and some salsa. The salsa serving was extremely small, I had to ask for more just to have it for all of my chips and the addition she brought me was exactly the same size. The burger was pretty good actually. Ive never had a hemp burger and I think it was one of the best vegan burgers Ive ever eaten, although a bit too dry. Ive also got to mention the pot of tea that we purchased for $5 because we got the pot of tea and it wasnt even halfway full with only two tea bags in it. This actually gave us only two cups of watery tea. Although it was a dollar cheaper because if you buy two cups of watery tea at six dollars you get the same amount if you pay $5 for a pot they didnt fill it up, or at least they didnt feel ours up, and I cant for the life of me understand why...but we didnt need any more. Overall, I think this is a place that I will visit sometime again, but I wasnt impressed.

Disappointing is the first word that comes to mind, food was flavorless and a good portion of it came from a package (the guac, the “cheese” the chips). Service was bland and cold, much like the soup. Overall the place lacked soul and it seems as if whoever is running the place nowadays has given up. I gave it two stars because I know there was a previous owner who sadly has passed on and perhaps this place was once a good place to stop and eat, but as it stands it could use a lot of work. I’ve worked and been to vegan restaurants all across the US and I can understand that this may be the only vegan place in the area, that’s even more of a reason to step it up.

Delicious!! Had the vegan benedict and it was filling and very tasty. Atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The hot chocolate made with almond milk was velvety but it is very sweet. Cant wait to come back because I want to try their chocolate covered peanut butter hearts!

Absolutely delicious healthy food.. Great vegan options!So we were exploring the famed city of awakening — Sedona AZ. The town center is mesmerizing, with a scenic mountain backdrop, authentic yoga stores, and spiritually based attractions throughout. However, despite all the love and wonderful energy, there are no good vegetarian food options. I swear we went down and up the main streets about 3 times looking at almost every restaurant menu. But everything is expensive, heavily processed, and full of some animal’s tears.Thankfully for Yelp, we found this place not to far away. It’s not walking distance, but a short drive away; and they even offer delivery if you are living or renting something near the area. The restaurant itself is in a pretty ghetto place in town, so be forewarned. But when we walked in, we were so impressed by the staff and the energy surrounding the place.Morning Glory Cafe promises healthy food. And my goodness does it stand by that promise! Everything is grown and produced locally. The kitchen smells amazing. The burgers taste like real food. And the staff is beyond nice! We were so happy to dine here. And left feeling not only full but energized and alive!I should also mention another thing, which may be interesting if you are into social justice. We happened to get there at a time when they were getting things settled to close. And I saw a few homeless people line up by the bench outside. As we were eating the two kitchen workers prepared some food from the left overs from that day, and a waiter brought it out to serve the community. Regardless on our views on social reform, it made us feel so touched. This little restaurant was trying to make a difference.. :)Highly recommend you try out Morning Glory Cafe. You will not be disappointed!

One a week long visit to Flagstaff, this is our second visit. The first we had smoothies and hemp burgers. Awesome taste on both. Second trip we brought the kids who enjoyed their menu choices. Quaint old styled restaurant in the heart of old Flagstaff.

I really enjoy the quesadilla and smoothies here as well as the hemp burger. You can tell it’s all made with love and positive energy as soon as you walk into the unique welcoming environment. Clean comfortable seating and or they offer to go. I am not vegan but enjoy the creativity of their food. Thank you Morning Glory !

We travel full time in our RV and are so glad we found this place. This is a one of a kind of a place to eat, serving high quality plant based foods in an environment with a great vibe. The owner is very passionate about the food she cooks. Her dishes look great and tastes even better, obviously made by people who love to eat and cook. If we lived in Flagstaff we would be here every day. Prices are very reasonable for the quantity and quality. My highest recommendations! This is the kind of place we dream of finding in our travels across the country. Thanks for a wonderful experience and superb meal.

This is a gem of a cafe, serving high quality plant based foods in a casual environment with probably the loveliest and kindest staff ever to grace the industry. Sandwiches and desserts are full of thought and flavor, instead of just thrown together. Food here was made by people who love to eat. If I wasnt just passing through I would frequent this spot regularly. Street parking is sometimes a little light, but definitely a lot within a couple blocks. Prices are reasonable for the quantity and quality. My highest recommendations.

The location is a little off the beaten path, but it is worth the walk. I tried the Burro based on a rec from the barista. It was very filling and yummy. I also tried the raw hot chocolate. It was the hottest hot chocolate I have ever had! Finally a vegan hot chocolate that was actually hot. It tasted great too! For dessert, I tried a chocolate peanut butter heart. It was a bit too hard and not enough peanut butter for my taste.Thank you for a great brunch.

Wow. This food has prana. So excited to find this spot! We were greeted kindly, given thoughtful service, and the food is obviously made with a full heart of love. Fantastic tea service/selection. Flavorful food. Mindful portions. Cool art. Excited to try all the things! Highly recommend the Cream Fizz, a berry kombucha with coconut milk (a healthful Italian soda).
