Moose Park - Park and Garden in Williston, United States
The whole Team was so nice and explained us everything about Moose, their lives and why they live in this Moose park. Eventhough my grandparents an I were the only visitors, they did the whole tour with us and even gave me the possibility to feed the Moose. I really enjoyed the day and can never thank the Värmlands Moose Park Team enough!
For adults really interesting. For our kids 4y and 8y was a bit too long because of the english language
We’ve had an absolutely amazing experience! Our tour guide James who’s extremely passionate about Moose/Älg gave us a lot of information (In English or Swedishin a fun and exciting way, it’s easy to understand and to keep up with his stories. It’s amazing to see the Moose/Älg up close, you’re also able to pet and feed them! This is an experience you don’t want to miss out on!!
Small park but with beautiful mooses. The owner of the park is very friendly and a non stop speaking encyclopedia but you will not get bored. The tour was in English and the way he talked about mooses, you will not get bored. Very entertaining and the most awaited part of the visit, touching and feeding the beautiful giants.. words cannot describe the feeling. Definitely worth a visit.
The guide gave us so much interesting information within the two hours tour about the life of moose - could have listened for many hours more ;)
Amazing experience! A guided tour, in English, that gives you a deeper understanding of the moose and a close up meeting with the animal.
Very nice park. You can watch, feed and pet the moose.Furthermore the guide was awesome. He was explaining and talking with so much charme, fun and enthusiasm that it was very easy and entertaining to listen to him for some time! Thank you James, stay awesome!
Great place. Maybe 2 hours is too Long for a tour
4 moose in the park. A lot of good explaination during the tour in the park.
As a volunteer here I got to work very closely with james, the guide. I can recommend everyone that is searching for an authentic, in dept experience and wanting to be very close to the mooses to come to this place. Not only will you feel like youre an expert on mooses afterwards, but also have had the chance to feel them. My stay at the park completely changed how I see these magical creatures, all thanks to James.
Cannot think of a better place to see, touch and feed moose. Its a family run business and they go into detail about the biology of the animals and how theyre cared for here.A really great way to experience these animals.Absolutely would recommend if youre in the area.
It was a great experience, to see the animals that close and got the opportunity to feed ant touch them. Would definitely recommend a visit. The guide answered patiently every question we had.If I could ask for a wish, since you plan to redo the place in the upcoming years, as a photographer it would be great not to see the fence on the opposite side, maybe by offering the moose a place to rest, where fence will not be visible. But anyway it is worth a Visite! Thanks so much!
We very much enjoyed the tour! Such beautiful animals. Thank you for a kind welcome and sharing your profound knowledge.
We visit the moose farm on a regular basis with guests, friends and family. And every time we learn something new. Never boring. James, one of the the owners, is a driven and enthusiastic guide who tells with passion about the moose’s behaviour. We really love to come here. And can absolute recommend to everyone!
The guy who runs the tour is so nice!!! He answers any question you have about the moose! He knows some swedish but the tour is in English so be prepared! My favorite moose was Gustav!
Nice place and nice ftailed information about the moose
Adorable and nice place to go. The English accent speaking guide is really informative and fun. Cool to see these special animals upclose.
Nice an well-prepared guide, we did learned a lot about this fantastic animals. Beautiful experience, a "must see"
Nice park, saw and fed 4 Moose.. nice info and tourguide
Owners are passionate with a bit of humour. It’s great they give so much information about the mooses. This makes the tour extra fun to do. The mooses itself are amazing to see, feed and touch. We went in september so the bulls were interesting because of the crown and their hormones.Great guided tour with lots of contact with the mooses and information.
Weve had an amazing tour with James. His passion for the moose is lovely to see. He gave us so much information about those incredible animals. Were hoping to see them in there natural environment some day and think about all the things weve learned today. Weve falling in love with all 5 moose and will visiting them again next year. Thanks a lot and much love from the Netherlands!
Very nice place. The guide tour (Perexplained everything in a clear way. The day was very windy so I will suggest to come when the weather is good or to be well prepared with the bad weather. Thanks Per for showing us all the moose in the park 🙂
I liked it a lot! The guide was an amazing story teller, with compassion and energy and a lot of affection for the animals! We really learned something about moose!Book in advance online! We could pet the female moose as well! Super cool
Very nice park with a focus on education on moose as well as an eye to eye encounter. Very detailed information about natural behavior, ecology and human interaction. The feeding was a memorable experience. Came out of it with an even larger respect for these beautiful animals than I already had.
James was a very kind and enthousiastic guide. Hes very good at sharing his love for the moose and tells very interesting stories about them. You get the feeling that he knows everything about them, and I am sure thats actually the case. We loved the experience he provided and we loved meeting the moose up close. Great experience! I would recommend it to everybody. He also took the time to share with us, some good places where we would have a good chance of spotting a moose in the wild. We had been looking for moose for hours already the day before. After the tips from James we found a wild moose the same evening. Thank you James!
Very nice and interesting. Got a ton of information about the moose.
The tour guide gave us very fun and interesting information. We could feed and even pet the moose. It was a great experience for the young and also the elderly. I would recommend it if you are in the neighborhood!
A bit on the expensive side, you get a deep insight on moose and their life in the woods (and water as I learned). The guide speaks very good (native likeEnglish. When we visited, there were 4 female moose of different ages and 2 male ones, 1 year and 3 years old. Gustav, the older, was already impressive in size and behaviour.
Very good information about moose, in perfect English. Very interesting and nice to see them up close
Very nice park! The tour with our guide Per was amazing! He told us a lot of interesting facts and also anecdotes about Moose. We could feel his passion for those lovely animals and his job. He answered questions extensively and patiently. Feeding and petting the female moose is also possible (the male ones depending on their age and behavior). Recommended!
Everyone should visit this amazing place! Really worth its money. Great time and experience. Highly recommend.
Great place to learn about these beautiful wild animals.
We had great time at the Värmlands Moose Park! Unfortunately the group tour was already fully booked, however the owners were so nice to show us around outside of tour hours. It’s the best way to learn more about these beatific animals!
Must see if you’re in the area. Great and engaging way to learn about these beautiful animals and their habitat in Sweden.
They only do tours with guide here, so check the website before driving here. It’s probably also recommended to call in advance, although we where lucky to got on the tour without reservation. The guide is awesome and tells you all about the moose. You get very close to them on the tour and can even feed them. It totally recommend it!!!
Very nice and small moosepark. The guide (Jamestells a lot about the moose, for example how to find them in the wild. You can feed, touch and kiss these animals of you like. They also have a nice souvenirs shop with of course items with a moose.
We are pretty excited about this place! We have learned a lot about Moose and their preferred habits. The guide is well experienced with Moose and and knows his beloved friends in every single situation. We were able to feed the Moose and give them hugs too. The kids were so happy cause the Moose were so kind to them. Thank you very much for the opportunity. Kind regards!
Really nice and educational tour where we were lucky enough to get to feed and pet the moose. Per, one of the owners, really knows a lot, both about the animals and how to capture the audience. Definitely worth a visit!
A great way to learn all about Moose (Elgand how to spot them in the wild. You can feed them pet them and in fact this is the only safe way to aprouch moose from up close.
It was an amazing experience! We didnt book beforehand and the tour was full, so we booked the next one. They gave us tips for things to visit in the area to kill the time, so that was very helpful! The tour itself was also incredibly well put together. James told us a lot about the moose and the area.
Overall: good experience and glad that we made the visit. It is to be recommended. More in detail:The guide knew his stuff. We got an expert explanation by one of the owners of the park. The guy could go on for hours if youd let him to. But he is so passionate and transfers it to the visitors.Probably Park is not the best name for it. You go with the group to the enclosure of the moose, but then you stand there for 1,5 hours. However, there you can touch and feed the moose and get to know them.
Awesome tour very informative tour the tour guid really knows his stuff and really likes moose its rly cool to soo and watch these Animals and learn on the way
If you want the full Sweden experience, you have to go here at least once. An amazing opportunity to see, touch and learn about elk (moose). Highly recommended.
This was one of our stops on our road tour through sweden and it was defintley a highlight. We learnd a lot about the King and Queen of the forest, the tour guide gave us an awesome introduction to the animals. We could even feed and touch them and it was an amazing experience! Highly reccomended!
Visited here twice and totally enjoyed both, James makes a big effort to ensure every visitor has a wonderful Elk experience, you also get up close and personal with the Elk.
Extremely satisfied with the tour. Instructions in clear english so you have a chance to translate to your kids in your native language. The website headline is spot on, you learn fun an interestings things about moose. You get to feed and pet them, even in a full group of 50 people there is plenty of opportunity. The caretakers do everything they can to get the kings an queens of the forest close to you. And if they should be too lazy or stubborn, they will take you to them. This was the case during our visit with the heatwave in Sweden. They also take great care of their animals and even help those in need in the wild if needed. Big thumbs up.
Got a tour today were 6 other people were present, so pretty private. It was awesome. Tour guide told a wide variety of things about the moose that were highly interesting. To see these animals up close and feed them and touch them and even stand right besides them was amazing. Incredible animals. I learned a lot and i would go again for sure next time im in the area.
An amazing guidance to the king amd queen of the forest. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and you could tell that he loved his job as well as the mooses they had there. Even for a swede, growing up with these animals, I learned so much aboout them and got the opportunity to view them up close. If you are nearby, this place is a must!
We expected something like a usual zoo the first time we had visited Värmlands Moose Park (VMP), but it was much better.Lots of informations about moose and other animals in Sweden in the first part of the tour (+you can feed and pet some moose through a fenceand then the chance to really touch such an impressive animal afterwards in the 2nd part, standing right beside them, inside the fence. From this 1st visit on we went to VMP every time wed been in Sweden and plan to do so at our future trips there too. Its just great.Maybe important to know: the informations are given in English. And there are lots of them. So if you dont speak English the first part of the tour may be a little dull.
What a great experience. I was there with two kids 4 and 6 years old and they loved getting close to the mooses. We even got the change to get into them. The guide was very informative and told us a great deal about the moose and Sweden wildlife in general.
