Moonwalk Lanta Resort in Krabi

This resort offers clean and spacious bungalows at a very affordable price. It’s right on the beach and has a pool. I would stay there again.

Nice clean bungalos, nice view , nice straff.. I would give 5 stars ... but .... the hotel keeps different birds and two arts of raccoons( I guess they are raccoons in tiny cages between reception and bungalows ! 2 raccoons in one small cage and 3 bigger raccoons in another cage .I cannot believe in it . One early in the morning they had no water inside ! They feed them granulated food : no fresh vegetables or plants . Just cruel !

We didnt sleep here, but kept coming back for the nice and helpfull staff (they recognise you back and remember your drinkand free use of the refreshing pool and next to the best massage saloon (Nadear). Not the cheapest place for drinks and food but real value for money.

My boyfriend and I have had a lot of cocktails in our time, but these were undoubtedly the worst. The so-called “Long Island Iced Tea” was a weak vodka and coke with some lime. We complained and the server went and topped it up with some soda water to make it “stronger”. What a waste of money. Happy Hour - but not for the patrons.

Food was ok. Service was ok. Some staff were great, others the worst weve had on Lanta.

Amazing cocktails at the beach bar. Bartender is excellent. Drinks are cheap and well made. Definitely better than the neighbouring bars!

Best meal in Thailand so far, the bbq menu was exquisite. Full of flavour, good price and generous portions. I had the red snapper but I must say I was extremely envious of the table beside me who order the half chicken bbq. Big wine glasses also which made my partner happy. Yum yum!

We had to struggle to get the food that we ordered (somehow they forgot half of the dish). When we finally got it it was not good. The only reason for giving it two stars is the location by the beach.

Food is disgusting! Waitresses promised one type of meal, but they brought another one. I asked to change my meal, but they just answered to eat it, because their chef cant cook what I want!

Terrible food, bad service. I dont advise.

I came to the bar from the beach to get a drink. Bartender tried overcharging me. Then I pointed to the prices on the sign and he agreed to that but after that I knew I probably wasn’t getting any alcohol in my drink. Sure enough....

Nice and chilled place. You can get anything you need in the hotel and close to it.

Very friendly staff and cleanest rooms so far in Thailand! The backyard is the beach which has an incredible sunset view and they also have a nice pool!

excellent resort, excellent food, excellent service, very pleasant all round.Bombam and Aui.

Overpriced food , below average flavour and portions, also for the drinks and it took over 30 mins to get the food , there was a table in front of us that waited an hr for their food to the point where half of them just left! And BTW my girlfriend didn’t get the dish she actually ordered but she still ate it only because we didn’t want to wait another 30 mins 👎

We went to Moonwalk restaurant to eat. Food was tasty but portions were really small, still hungry after. My man got his dinner and I got mine half hour later, when we asked them about my food. Service wasnt really friendly. Not going back to that place again.

The rooms are in need of some improvements but generally OK. Some of the staff was not very friendly or service minded though, and during our 4 nights stay they didnt clean our bed sheets even once. Their english was pretty bad which made it really difucult to order food, the food itself was good though.

Plates have no taste except for the grilled fish. Service is terrible, you can wait your plate for 1 hour and nobody apologize. There are certainly other possibilities near the beach.

Poor English skills; value isnt matching their price......in words, we wont choose here again.

Avoid eating here at all cost. Service is slow, food arrives randomly, is far away from enjoyable and overpriced compared to other restaurants on the beach. Table next to us left annoyed after waiting for their dinner more than 45 minutes, another couple returned the food after 2 bites. Based on the comments here I assume we werent the only one with similar experience. Trust me, pass!

Super loud music until 2:30 am. Serious ? I couldn’t sleep and I stayed 2 resorts further...

Bad stuff. A lot of mistakes. Wrong drink wrong bill and price is to high. The drinks are very small but place is very nice by night.

A perfect little place to relax on. The staff o really friendly and costumer awarness is great. Good massage on the beach while listening to the waves.While we had our massage the owner heard when builders nearby cut a palm down, and as a surprise run over and came back with a coconut for us to drink after our massage. Thats service minded!

Rooms were very clean with no bugs which was a bonus. The resort was nice and decently comfortable. Good stay for the price.Negatives. Arrived at 5 pm from an 11 hour journey and room till wasnt ready.Beach was covered in trash.Food at the restaurant was terrible and over priced. And the area around the resort was not pleasant.Staff were definitely on "Island Time" but were friendly.

Dont go to the restaurant for breakfast. The coffee and breakfast is low quality and overpriced compared to other restaurants in the area

I stayed 5 nights at the moonwalk and got a nice (Largeroom to myself (Its off season during the new year). The second day/night the air conditioning stopped working and I came back to my room and spent 2 hours with the remote and online trying to figure it out. No one was at the front desk after 12am. I slept in my own sweat. The next day I found out they turned it off because they thought I hadnt paid for it (I had). They barely speak English so its hard to say anything but yes, no and thank you. The food is what really brings my review to 3 stars with few good things to say. Would find somewhere else next time.

Our room is fine, but the food we had for dinner wasn’t pleasant at all, like i get presentation isn’t always perfect but these plates of food looked as if they were leftovers from the previous night! Anyway, me and my friend gave it a chance and began to eat what felt like slop in our mouths, we tried to persevere but alas it was making us nauseous.

Nice room, nice staff, perfect beach and not expansiv! Its a perfect place!

Just ate brunch here.We got our food rather fast, and it was good. Pancakes were a bit worse than other places Ive been to in Thailand. The prices were slightly above the main road, for a beach restaurant though the prices are fair.Very simple decoration, and one of the bigger establishments on the beach.

Terrible food, none of our quite large group enjoyed eating here. We had a variety of meals, pizza unbaked and greasy, vegetarian green curry had very few vegetables and no tofu as promised, etc.

I did not stay here, but Ive eaten here. Food was not bad. Ghe place felt like a scam. What they claim to have in their salads on a menu doesnt match the reality. We ordered a half of a BBQ chicken they served us only a qurter of it, but charge like for a half. If you order BBQ chicken, ask to serve it and cut in front of you, not in the kitchen. Plus, they put sweet yoghurt on your baked potato.

Rooms are super tiny . Great view of the ocean though .

We did not stay there, but visited the resort for the day, drinking all day long happy hour cocktails and getting massages, which allowed us to use the pool. Mojitos were great and the massages were spectacular.

We went in low season hotel staff was no were to be found after 8 pm bungalows are small and bathroom is tiny

Beautiful pool, they refurbished the rooms lately. Slept quite well.Do not come here during low season, because they dont clean the beach. Its full of plastic/garbage! They admit to only clean their beach during high season (Nov-Feb)

I didnt stay here, but I have eaten here twice now and its the best weve found on the island by a very long way.The food, including the western food, is good. Not good for Thailand, but properly good. They even serve everyone at the same time, which is a rare thing here. The drinks are perfectly mixed, the staff attentive, the food wonderful & well priced, and the service welcoming.Without a doubt the favourite restaurant for everyone on this holiday, very recommended!

We ordered bbq fish as a Christmas dinner. It was okay, though we got only one potato with two fishes. Staff was little confused and didnt understand all English words. All in all its okay for the price.

Terrible service. The staff seemed genuinely annoyed wed sat down and ordered. Food was sub-par, very slow and brought out at completely different times.

Avoid this place.I booked a bungalow in this hotel after seing beautiful pictures. What an awful disenchantment when it turned out that the so-called bungalow was actually more of a dark rabbit-hutch, near the staff rooms . No to mention that the room was not cleaned during my stay. Avoid this place, there are plenty of nicer resort in Ko Lanta.
